HE DID IT!! Carizzo made a top ten list for 2009. Uhm ehm uuuummmmmm it's RAI Due's Bidone d'oro 2009 - the year's biggest flops. Here it is...

1) Felipe Melo 22,87% - 4.289 votes;

2) Quaresma 20,63% - 3.868;

3) Tiago 9,99% - 1.873;

4) Dida 9,56% - 1.792;

5) Mancini 9,39% - 1.760;

6) Huntelaar 6,84% - 1.283;

7) Ronaldinho 6,07% - 1.139;

8) Poulsen 6,06% - 1.137;

9) Carrizo 4,37% - 819;

10) Julio Baptista 4,22% - 792

Doesn't surprise me. He was such a letdown. We waited so long for that guy to replace the senior citizen we had in net and he was absolute balls. Right as usual, I spoke out early about how he was a flop and to stick muslera in net. He's just another of the many players who came and did nothing. Sometimes I think Lotito might as well just put all his money in a big pile and burn it with SOME of the transfers he did in the last 2 years.

^^^ We all wanted Carizzo, he came very highly regarded. I don't think we can blame Lotito for that one, unless you want to give him all the credit for Muslera. I would prefer to do neither.

Sorry that comment was not related to carizzo about burning his money and I don't mind giving credit when it's due ...      I don't blame lotito for carizzo either. Carizzo was even the first string keeper for the Argentine national team so its not like just Lazio were sold on him.

He is young and I hope he can find his form at some point so we can sell him because all we need is another player spending his life on loan and nobody interested in buying them .. kinda like makinwa.

Where is Cruz

Cruz was fucked before he even came here.. he got very little time with Inter last season... so nobody was expecting much from him.. who has a brain at least.
*Thinks to self.. Latius right as usual? I remember him saying Cruz has some use... guess his theory is sunk in the water*

I'd swap 1 and 2 around myself. Melo was at least good at Fiorentina.. Quaresma? Oh my days, what an epic fail he has been.
Btw, also no blame on Lotito for Carrizo... it's his own fault this has happened i.e he lacks ability! Nowadays He is second choice even at Zaragoza now and out of Argentinian picture completely! But at the time he was a great buy for us.

To be honest I was surprised with Melo winning that one. I didn't see him as such a bad signing. Whatever. :)

1) Felipe Melo 22,87% - 4.289 votes;
If it's for 2009, then he does not deserve 1st spot, did they forget about Confederations Cup or they don't regard it?

2) Quaresma 20,63% - 3.868;

3) Tiago 9,99% - 1.873;
It's hard not to get on this list when your rarely given the chance to play, they should of added Eliseu too then.
4) Dida 9,56% - 1.792;
Not having a terrible 2009, I can't recall a huge mistake he has done so far.

5) Mancini 9,39% - 1.760;
6) Huntelaar 6,84% - 1.283;
Maybe just maybe Huntelaar but he had a spectacular game i think Catania was it? saved ACMilan an addition 3 point defecit to Inter.
7) Ronaldinho 6,07% - 1.139;
2009 Ronaldinho? No way.
8) Poulsen 6,06% - 1.137;

9) Carrizo 4,37% - 819;

10) Julio Baptista 4,22% - 792

This newspaper wants more bigger names in there
Cruz Diego SimonePepe Cicinho ThiagoSilva Amelia Doni(Atalanta) Gattuso.. just a few atop of my head

yea i remember dida being really dodgy in net especially on corner kicks and other times being really solid in net with diving saves short distance saves etc. He's a Brazilian 36 year old goalie and I don't think he deserves the spot ahead of a younger Amelia. This year Amelia has made me laugh numerous times already.

Dida deserves the spot based on the Bernabeu faux pas ALONE... not to mention some of his other gaffs already!

I do agree that bidone d'oro is probably looking at trying to fit big names in there. Despite Ronaldinho not being what he used to you can't chop that guy. True, a lot of those guys didn't get many chances.

Time and time again Dida makes horendous errors. You can't do that in the Champions League. The error against Real was so piss poor I almost pissed myself.

I agree that Ronaldinho should not be on the list. Even in defeat yesturday he carved out some excellent goal scoring opportunities and the vision was at times a joy to watch, and thats been the case for weeks now.

Quaresma should be number 1, total waste of money. If memory serves wasnt he number 1 last season? Would have beeen some achievement if he went back to back.

I decided I will replace the frog that came out of Balla's mouth in my signature when he brings us a win, just for the sake of it, and now it seems I have a theme to expand on... Keep them coming. Sorry, I could not resist.
