The best part about the AS Roma - CFR Cluj match was that Roma did not look like they deserved to win at all. If it were not for half decent goaltending from Doni, it could easily have been 3 or 4 to one.
They simply have not adjusted whatsoever to losing both Giuly and Mancini on the transfer market and the new replacements have been massive disappointments.
What a beautiful day! Roma losing at home in the Champions League and still without a win in Serie A, and Lazio FIRST in the Serie A table!

I saw that game and i was marvelled, roma were like shit and i just thought of lazio trashing them.

Liverpool did well and that is ma english club, Gerrard scored a super first goal, they have a large and loaded squad but i think the emphasis will be on the premiership.

Hi, I am from Cluj and a CFR 1907 CLuj suporters, also i'm a Lazio fan too. In Romania everyone say before the match , CFR will lose whit 7-8 goals. But the playesr make a piece of history there.
In 2001/2002 CFR play in third Romanian Division
2002/2003 and 2003/2004 they play in Second Division and promoted in last yers to the first.
Afer 4 years in First Division they finished 1st for the first time in 100 years history and win the Romanian Cup too.

I agree the rioma losses are pretty much the first thing i'm hoping for in the CL. But I'm always entertained by any of these matchups. I caught the highlights on the fiorentina - lyon game and have to say fiorentina got screwed. See the video below:

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/VRqfeU4uCHY" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch/v/VRqfeU4uCHY</a>

Zauri was down with a possible broken cheekbone and Lyon completely ignored him and continue playing scoring. In fairness they should have kicked the ball out to investigate the player being down. This was really a controversial goal. What kind of ref doesnt blow the wistle too after a player is down like that ?

I did not see this game.
I would be unfair if that happened for real........Fifa should be more decisive with rules of the game not leaving it to the referees.

Don't think i would stop if it was zauri....not now

Seriously though it happens too much that players go down and there is simply nothing wrong with him. Especially in the champions league where every game (and attack) is crucial, a player can too easily disrupt the game by just lying down, and so even if it wasn't right this time i would always favour playing until the ref says otherwise.

The merde are losing 1-0 .... totti said he wanted to score 5 goals. How retarded is this guy ? Go Chelsea!

an exerpt from goal.com:

Roma captain Francesco Totti admits he is worried about the club's recent problems but he is looking ahead to the Champions League clash against Chelsea and he dreams of scoring five goals at Stamford Bridge...

I didn't think they stood a chance today. I don't even think we did as bad as them last season in the first 7 games. They are going down hard this year.

Cheers to chelsea!!!
