Currently watching Italy vs. US in the confederation cup (not a highly rated event) .. but what a fuckin boring game. Wow .. italy have lost quality since winning the WC .. and the stupid american pigs are the dirtiest players ever. I hope italy can come back since they are up against a 10 man US side.

I really think Lippi has lost it you know, no impetus inplaying new blood or at least mixing some youth in with the more experienced guys. Foggia should be there, Quagliarella probably should be playing. A loss here would be beyond embarressing

Generally I support Italy but I'm hoping the USA beat them today, I simply hate this fucking Juve mafia in the Italy squad. Agree with Lazio365, Lippi has lost it and is still way to connected to Rubentus.

on comes Rossi, great goal although hes been linked to Juve to laziogimp  Still, the positives are there if lippi takes them, Rossi, Foggia, Santon etc etc

Great goal and with his left foot.
I think usa will score one more.
Happy cam left the field, i was wondering wat he was doing in there.

I think Camoranesi is a very good player, but out wide in a 4-4-2 rather than a 4-3-3, hes wasted really as Zambrotta and Grosso are getting forward. Don't think 4-3-3 suits Italy at all too many holes in the midfield.

doppieta di Rossi!
The game moved at a snails pace but Rossi and Montolivo provided a real spark off the bench and we eventually took over. Rossi should always be in the first team in my opinion hes the type of player the NT has been lacking

wouldn't Foggia be great in that position? better than Camoranesi, in my opinion, but no Foggia - bs. and why not Legrottaglie?!!! honestly, nothing ever changes.

The backline looked really shaky today though, and I agree Legrottaglie sucks.  Its so true about the juve mafia dominating the team, IMO Camo and Legro should never start, Iaquinta was ok but the other two forget about it.  I usually like Chiellini too but he was pretty shaky, simply got beat on the play where he gave up the penalty.

Absolutely definately better for me in that position, cutting inside on his left foot. Still, there a year to go before the big dance and Foggia, if he plays like he did this season, should be there. Still, this is Lippi we are talking about. I think Donadoni would have picked him.  Ir be giving Italy my support but it would have been fantastic to see Foggia there, and ideal really as arnt these nothing tournaments the ideal place to try something new? Pirlos assist at the end though was just world class.

Foggia definately the better choice than camo. Rossi is simply amazing. Legrottalie had so many good chances in front of the net ... and nothing. Once again Toni proves he's not made for the NT... he's two slow and can never finish. I wasn't too convinced even with the win that italy can dominate the competition .. but then again even brazil had a hard time with egypt.

foggia is far better......lippi is just playing the devil you know.
Brazil escaped and the decision to give the penalty after 3 minutes is very questionable.
Howard webb!!!!...Best ref in england was at the center.

Sure Foggia is better than Camo hands down. The question is how about Cassano. This is a hard decision and we lazio fans may have a bias, but i think Italy is more in love with Cassano than Foggia, or even more so Del Piero which i hope he doesn't get called up anymore. Plus Lippi is stubborn so he will not drop Pepe and he likes to live in the past so Camoranesi is very liked also. If Foggia makes the 2010 team i will be surprised, very happy, and very excited to watch the World Cup.
