On FM 2011, I started with Lazio, and good memories from FM 2008, but very bad from 09 and 10. Now, I have, of course, one big nothing in budget, so I sold Boneto, Del Nero (to Ipswich for 1,3 mil.  ), Manfredini, and rest of bunch, and manage to snap Monzon on loan, from Boca. That was all of my transfer that summer.
In last match of season, lost from Parma 1:0 away, but Juve Merda, Palermo and Viola screw that and also let down. So, I picked up 4th spot in the league.  
And, for next season, I had 12 mil of euro, something very nice to see. Brought Mariga, Fofana, Cabrera, Turan, sign Monzon on permanent, and my 12 mils disappear. Meghni, Diakite, Bizzari, Berni, Foggia, Makinwa, all of them was sold. But, well spent. In CL, got into group with Arsenal, Stturgart and Olymp. Third place, on goal-difference Stuttgart goes up. I grab EL. Eliminated Lille, Twente, Tottenham, and Hijon, and in final, beaten Leverkusen with Floccari`s goal in 91 minute. It was 1:0, and madness in my house.  
In Calcio, ups-and-downs, finished 7th, but qualified for EL next season, because of title.
Then, many of players went that summer, mostly on free: Scaloni, Biava, Stendardo, Garrido, Zauri, Brocchi (retire), Mauri, Sculli was bought by Genoa, again (what an idiots  ). And, I have 30 millions for buys. 11 mil for Van der Wiel, 8,5 mil for Ninis, 7,5 for Lukaku, Pavluchenko for 1,4, Fazio for 3,3, and couple of promising kids. So, I just started season 2012-2013, with hope for push in CL, and next season title chasing, for God`s sake.

I strong recommended that Gonzalo Baretto is a super sub, forget his stats, he might a little bit young but good enough for 1st team

I got Sanchez on the right wing, Joazinho on the left as attacking wingers while Ibishevic is my single striker alone, Hernanes with Edgar Barreto as CM and Ledesma as a DCM. Sapunaro as a rb, Radu on the left, Dias with Potenza as CB. I am still trying to working it out, cause it's not much effective yet, previously I was playing with the diamond 4-1-2-1-2 with generally last years squad.

this thread made me redownload the FootballManager 2011 app and I started again with Lazio. I lasted a season and a bit. I won Coppa Italia and was topping the Europa group but got fired after bad results in the league. I dont understand how I lose or tie about 75% of my league games. Its quite frustrating.  

For the market I ended up picking up Nesta in the offseason as he was out of contract and bought Giacherini. Sold Lichsteiner for 7 mill which is like ...15 mill in real life.

I offered out some shit heads on the team and tried to sell Floccari Matuzalem Zauri etc etc but no offers and I couldnt even offer them away for half the price the game sets them at.  Its hard for me to work with the transfer market when I barely get any offers.

Sat until 6 am this morning to finish the season and do the Mercato for 2010-11...

Thanks to João Moutinho and Meireles our possession game improved and we were able to pile up wins in a convincing fashion, including 3-0 against  , an away stunner against Fiorentina in the league and one in the Europa League (1-0 and 4-2 respectively).

At the end of the season it was

That was coupled by a remarkable Europa League run, in spite of not having Carrico, Moutinho or Meireles available (all cup-tied). We beat Sevilla 3-2 at Sánchez Pizjuan, then 1-0 at home. Following that up were 2-1 and 4-2 against Fiorentina with Zárate being in gorgeous form. That set up a semi final fixture against Aston Villa, where Floccari equaliser Carew's leading goal at Villa Park, before goals from Zárate, Cardozo and Floccari helped ensure a 3-1 victory at Olimpico.

The final was among the most incredible ever seen, with Óscar Cardozo grabbing a hat trick for us, but Belluschi, Ruben Micael and Falcao also scored, so we dropped a 3-1 lead within five minutes in the early second half. Then, Fucile was sent off for them and we were for a whole playing hour jamming their goal and yet nothing happened. But, in the penalty shootout, Cardozo, Luís Felipe, Foggia and Di María kept their nerves, whilst Álvaro Pereira and Belluschi did not, so we won the Europa League 

Prior to 2010-11 the Champions League qualifying saw me being given a bumper budget to improve the squad (grazie Lotito I guess  ). Anyway, the selling clubs kept hard control of their player on each instance. Having got rid of some deadwood (Cruz to Betis, Carrizo to Atlético Madrid, Buonanotte to Sochaux and Zauri to Liverpool) I set out spending with debit payments, in order to establish the club at this level.

Eventually I managed to land Cristián Zapata (Serie A player of the year) for €28 mil, then Salvatore Bocchetti for €22.8 mil, effectively solving all defensive problems. In turn, Dias went to Sporting for €5.5 mil and Biava went ehm... somewhere, think it was Parma, for €1.5 mil.

To improve merchandise sales I signed Morimoto for €19 mil (quite handy in the game as friendly winners against Everton and Liverpool prove). Unfortunately that didn't seem to pay off that way, so he has to do it on the field instead  CSKA Moskva then offered me Akinfeev for an astonishingly low €12 mil, me sniping immediately, that was when I let Carrizo go for €8 mil (loan with purchase option but the idiots will take it up  ) That was how I willingly lost Stendardo 

Lacking some depth in the midfield I then set out to sign Simone Pepe (Udinese) and Lucas Biglia (Anderlecht), both moves being successful for €7 mil each. Right now I'm fairly happy with both the quality and the depth of my squad. Foggia slapped in a transfer request to go to Inter, but I'm struggling with homegrown tallys anyway right now (Luís Felipe, Barreto, Hazard, Rits and Abeid will eventually be...), so I rejected it haha.
