Torino will be relegated today, barring a miracle of biblical proportions. Drawing in Rome, but Bologna are 2-0 up and cruising at home to Catania. A shame for Torino, but they simply haven't had good enough players for a while now.

^^ Catania's attitude coming into this game was sickening - everyone took it for granted that Bologna would (be allowed) to win. mah!

So many goals everywhere today. Shame only a couple of games mean anything significant.

Think the right team stayed up in Bologna, the fact that they can fill there stadium is also a plus for the league. Aparently, I just read on Football Italia that Ancelotti has left Milan.

Indeed. Chelsea or Real Madrid for him now. Milan surely must go for Riijkaard - that would be a fantastic story, I'd respect them a lot if they did that. At any rate, he is a better manager then Van Basten and Leonardo just hasen't got the experience

Roma just salvaged almost complete embarassment to AA Gent in round 3 qualifying for The Europa League. A dubious invisible penalty call saved their asses today. I was ready to pop open some champagne had they gone down in leg 1 @ home to a team i've never heared of. I'm pretty sure they are from Sarejevo? but who knows

Currently I think Juve have the best forward line and midfield, though their defence is not as good as Inters. Juve for me at the moment are favourites, but if Inter add a creative midfielder then it will be pretty even. Don't count out Milan though, usual soap opera there this summer. Expect Berlusconi to pull something out of the hat to make him look the hero, rumoured to be courting Huntelaar and Fabregas.
If we start well we can finish top six, but Genoa, Palermo, Roma, Fiorentina and Napoli will fight with us.
Relegated. Livorno for sure and not because of the rivarly, but because they look weaker than the other sides. Parma should stay up, maybe Siena will go as they have lost quite a few good players, Zuinga and Gallopa for example.

I wathced Juve-Real a few days ago and they look well rounded. The main difference was defence, Juve still have a weakness but Real's was horrible. All the money they spent and they were getting kicked around by Juve's offence. I don't expect Inter to run away with the league this year but I believe for the mid-table it will be as competitive as ever. the 4th CL spot is up for grabs. Milan should struggle more this year as their defence is still very poor and their midfield is still old. The only determining point for us to finish higher up will be to get a central defence that can withstand a quality attack. I think Juve will win the scudetto but there are probably two CL spots that can be contested. Roma should struggle this year and Fiorentina seem to have reached their maximum with the current squad. Udinese could jump up in that competitive mix as well last year they had a bad slump, We should be able to quality for europe through the league, but looking into the future Serie A is not the the high spending free for all like Spain or England, with a more level playing field we should be planning for a CL entrance in the next year.

Chiellini, whom I used to esteem, looks like a train wreck - ever since the Confederation Cup he's looked like a disaster.

How Inter won tonight I will never know. Udinese should have won it near the death, Di Natale had a great chance to put it to bed but blew it. Sneijder showed why he is such a world class player at the end, but Inter should not have won this game.

Di Natale reminds me of Del Piero last season. Great match except the fact that Inter doesn't seems to care if they win or not. The way they enter in the Second half didn't impress me at all. Not the champion from the last year.
