I figured since I started this same thread last year might as well start the panic button again for 2010!

http://www.lazioforever.com/lazio-matches/friendly-fixture-list-2009-2010/?PHPSESSID=d55ba1cf86eeb48e2e02cafab223c066

Everything seems to be falling apart: On the pitch, off the pitch, players and fans alike.  Looking to take salvage in looking forward to some friendlies.  As of now nothing is confirmed...of course!

However I read today that Lazio still owes Ipswhich a friendly from their transfer of Matteo Sereni (remember him  ) back in 2003.

If anyone else has any more info on games, opponents, DATES that would be greatly appreciated.

Respect to Austria for the article...If its broken down into dates from what I understand it looks like:

July 18- vs Auronzo in Veneto

July 21- vs Iran

July 22- vs Feltrese (Provincial side from Veneto)

July 24- vs "Dolmitica or dolmitici" (most likely an organized group from the area, if anyone knows the actual translation plz post)

July 25- vs Belluno (Serie D side from Veneto)

July 28- vs Al-Nassr (Saudi Arabian club managed by Walter Zenga since May)

August 7- vs Sora (in Fiuggi, Frosinone)

August 10- vs Racing Santander (in Olimpico...most likely the team unveiling session)

August 14- vs Ascoli (in Fiuggi, Frosinone)

Not so long ago Lazio played pre-season tournament in Holland all together with Liverpool, Ajax and Atletico Madrid. What kind of test is Veneto, Sora, Belluno!!!!

July 18- vs Auronzo in Veneto

July 21- vs Iran
...
August 14- vs Ascoli (in Fiuggi, Frosinone)

Philadelphia Union friendly's
July 14- vs Celtic F.C. in Philadelphia (PPL Park)

July 21- vs Manchester United in Philadelphia (Lincoln Financial Field)

I find it funny that while Lazio is playing shit like Auronzo, the Union line up Celtic F.C.; instead of an Iranian team they play ManU( ). maybe it says worse things about Celtic and ManU.

P.S. Im looking forward to the Ascoli game, got family there. Hope we stomp them

^^ That's because the MLS squads or whoever the backers of these ventures are, pay huge sums to get these teams there to play. It's not about training, it's about $$. Besides, the Union (or any other MLS squad you care to name) are meant to be fodder for these teams who get a training match out of it for their backups while they pocket a handsome fee.

Perhaps I'm the only one who ain't bothered about any of this.

I can just imagine what people are going to be saying.

"OMGZORS. We played so fucking well. We must get 6th place now"

No thanks. Wake me up when it's Serie A Kick-off time.

Yep, but preceeding that tournament we had just finished 3rd in the league, rather than battling against relegation all season long. In other words, we are not an attractive enough proposition to be in that tournament at the moment. Still, the tests listed are inadequate although Racing Santander being a La Liga side should make for a good game.

Perhaps Reja's starting the team off slow and steady, try to niggle out the faults and move on up. playing small teams from Veneto at the start and then throwing in Iran and the Middle East club in between the games for a bit of a challenge(who are no easy beats mind you)...before the tougher tests of Racing Santander and Ascoli at the end before the start of the league.

The way i see it..better off having Lazio play with the ball in possession against teams from Veneto than have tougher clubs from Serie-A or B or play tough European clubs and have the boys running after the ball 50% of the time.

Yes, I can see the logic to that. But, the danger to a degree is that it could build false confidence. Beating an easy gig 8-0 for example doesnt, in my opinion, give a realistic picture of what is to come for us. Ultimately, I would like to have seen a few games of a higher calibre. Anyhow, Im itching for the Serie A fixture list to be revealed. It can't be far off now.

Romauno.tv  - to see the match

Radioradio.it  - to hear the match

I think you need them both coz probably the footage will be made with amateur camera from the stands.
