it was a season that went far beyond my expecations, and if anything, I am only disappointed because the team played so well, in general, that we rightly could have got even more out of this season. Communque Grazie Ragazzi!!!!!!!

I agree we did very well this season. Only I am a little dissapointed for us the fans and some of the players that really performed this season. Champions Leauge was well within our grasp but we let ourself down in a few games and really gifted Udi. But all in all better much better. Now just a few additions to our team and the same frame of mind for next season and we can go far.  and beat  away and home

After last seasons debacle I was happy just to entertain a midtable affair, one that did not actually damage our Serie A status. But then we showed some ambition and signed Hernanes, a player sought after by a lot of top clubs. It was clear from virtually the start that we were much better than mid table, and as I've said before if we had a 15-20 goal scorer we could have been much higher up.

We've exceeded initial expectations no doubt but we set a very high bar at the beginning of the season, a bar we just fell short of in the end and that does feel disappointing right now. That being said, this could be the beginning of a new phase for the club, being in at least the top six every year and pushing on when we can from that, rather than the last few seasons of midtable mediocrity. That excites me.

I think it was our last chance of getting in CL for the near future, not that I am much disappointed, having in mind we would have been awful there. I am not sure if Lotito has learnt any lessons from the past, but I doubt we will repeat this years performance. We are going to lose a few palyers as things are looking and Hernanes is getting worse week by week and I am not sure if Zarate can be consistent. Add to that the EL matches, with our humble depth we are going for nowhere next year.

^^ Hernanes needs a break, this will be his first real break for almost 2yrs. We will also get some reinforcements. C'mon, man don't go to pieces.

With Lotito, not much light at the end of the tunnel, for me at least. It's true we are progressing from the days of litterally beeing bancrupt, but with a better management we could have had some better years behind this season. Fighing for relegation, finishing in the lower half of the table, embarassing ourselves in the EL against the likes of Levski and Salzburg, doing nothing during the mercato of a season with chances for CL. It's just pretty much the same dumb story every year, that's how it's been so far with lotiti. Forza Lazio!

First of all, I am well and truly pissed off for losing the CL spot only a few rounds before the season's end.

Look:
             P    W   D   L
Udinese 66   20   6   12
Lazio     66   20   6   12

Udinese deserved the Champions League more than us because they scored more goals but more importantly because they defeated us the second time around which, looking at the stats between the two teams, really was the most crucial game of the season for both of us. Otherwise we should not put them on pedestal in any way.

Sod Udinese, I am bloody well pissed off because WE WERE in top 3 unbelievably enough for the best part of the season. It does infuriate me to lose it at the last second and not even be saved by a stroke of luck. I do agree with our Armenian optimist that this team is not Champions League material yet and my opinion on Lotito should be well enough documented but I am convinced the chance of getting CL football would have been a huge boost to the club one way or the other. Which Europa League most probably, in all likelihood, quite certainly, and so forth, will not be I am afraid.

Otherwise, when all is said and done fifth place, finishing above Merda, and European football next season is a great achievement from a team that last season fought relegation with a president who seemingly did his best to destroy the club.

I did not want this season to end but it has. We will see what happens next.

Forza Lazio.

This is all good, I suppose. Maybe is better to take Europa League, because we don`t have team which could compete at same level, with Barca or MU. Last year we almost get relegated, this year EL. Not bad at all, I am satisfied.
Forza Lazio!

I am satisfied too, I think starting the season so strongly made everyone think we were capable of more than our squad actually is, with its lack of depth.

Europa League is still a great competition, and since we nearly went down last season, this season is a huge achievement.

Lotito isnt happy with Milan, thinks they drew on puropose. I dont share his thoughts, its just Milan didnt push as hard as they would if they needed a result, but they could easily have thrown the game if they wanted to.

All in all it was a good season, just for the reason that this team has come a long way from being a relegation candidate to being a CL candidate. If Lotito keeps our most valuable assets, and spends some money on good players like Hernanes, this club will keep going forward and maybe be a regular again in competing for the top 4. I'm optimistic that this season is the first in a stable period in Lazio's history.

I didn't realize until this season ended how important Rocchi is.
