We Have The Tools To Get Out OF Trouble - Lazio Coach Davide Ballardini

The Aquile tactician declared his intention not to go down without a fight…

After watching his ‘new look’ Lazio outfit fall into further crisis as they slipped into the relegation zone this afternoon following a disastrous 1-0 defeat to Catania., coach Davide Ballardini refused to throw in the towel.

“The situation is worrying but we knew this before today,” he declared to SkySport shortly after the game.

“We are convinced that we have the tools to get out of trouble,” he continued.

“I have full intention to remain here as coach but you will have to ask the club about my future.

“In the first half we played extremely well, creating five or six chances to score. After the break we weren’t as tonic and as a result Catania cut off our legs with a killer goal.

“In defence both [Giuseppe] Biava and [Andres] Dias played extremely well. Maybe in the middle of the park [Thomas] Hitzlsperger had a little more difficult to gel with the rest of the side.

“If we made changes, we did so because we had few other choices. With many key players out injured this season I have been forced to make adjustments to the formation during the course of the season.”

The tactician was then probed as to the situation surrounding Cristian Ledesma, who had hoped to feature against the Etnei after training with the Biancocelesti first team during the week.

“Ledesma is a great player and he is part of the squad of 35 players that we have. If he decides to put himself at the disposal of the club, we will be very happy.”

Seriously, this guy has some balls to keep on pretending he is a manager. It was an embarassment to watch us today, even though we played slightly better than last week. We have NO ideas when we get into the opposing half and we ended up with 1 midfielder (0 really, Baronio isn't even a footballer). Lotito is a fucking loser, so proud that he's let a player go who has scored 6 in 5 games and all the talk of us signing quality reinforcements has resulted in shite. Why the hell have Lichtsteiner, Diakite and Stendardo been dropped, they've been ok? Did you see all of Lotito's bodyguards at the end of the match surround him, I have never seen that happen before, he must need them because there were 30,000 or so people who wanted to smash his face in.
