A number of Lazio fans have invaded the club's training ground, shouting abuse and threatening players, causing them to run for cover...
Things couldn't get worse for Lazio after their own fans turned against them during today's training session, following Sunday's heavy 4-1 defeat at home to Cagliari. Biancocelesti supporters turned up, but they were in no mood to keep the peace as they shouted abuse at the players. A couple of fans scaled the security fence to confront players, causing coach Delio Rossi to abandon the session as a number of stars ran for cover. "You are a bunch of women and mercenaries," shouted one angry fan, as reported by Il Corriere Dello Sport. One supporter even asked Aleksander Kolarov for a fight and he warned the Serbian stopper that he would be waiting for him outside the ground after training. As tempers flared, the situation always risked getting out of hand. Rossi was quick to intervene as he tried to protect his players from what could have turned out to be a nasty scuffle. "You are right to be annoyed but please lets calm down and we can talk about this later," Rossi told the angry fans. The coach then calmly walked back towards the training pitch, and he told his players to carry on with their session. Lazio were also confronted by the fans on Sunday after the match, and it is believed they blocked the team bus from leaving the stadium.
FORZA IRR F**K mercenaries like Ledesma and Zarate. FIGHT FOR THE COLORS AND PRIDE.

I dont know what can I say exactly, this kind of events can occur because of excessive love for club. I saw many times in my country such attacks to traning fields, club buildings, etc. Actually, I am not surprised at this event because we have been really in a bad situations since merda match and still cant straighten out. As a result of this, fans couldnt stand anymore this shameful situation and want to warn someones . The most annoying thing for me as a Lazio fan is Lotito's attitude to Delio Rossi. I think these fans wanted to do something which Lotito didnt do untill today and wanted to show that Lazio is not a club for mercenaries, like JoFo bro said. If Lazio Management cant afford to warn team and cant say team that they need to get better, fans always will tell this in stead of managers of club... not politely as managers but more effectively. Finally, I dont love this club for players( I dont mean players like Paolo Di Canio etc.), coaches or managers.... I love this Lazio FOR HOLY FLAG, COLORS AND HISTORY. So Lazio deserve real managers, players and coaches whose first aim is to raise Lazio flag to sky... not for my money .... FORZA LAZIO 00 00 00 FORZA IRRIDUCIBILI

This seems a little blown out of proportion, the report I heard said there was one fan and that Kolarov responded and Rossi calmed the situation down. While I appreciate fans voicing their displeasure because it lets the players know that Lazio is not some kind of flavour of the month club, you have to recognize that when you step on the pitch you represent something ang that there are a true "poppolo Laziale" that aere represented by the colours you wear. But there is no point creating a poisonous atmosphere in which none of the players will be able to play well.
Always and everywhere, Forza S.S. Lazio 1900 01

With the latest performance from the club along with Rossi's decisions .. I can't say I wouldn't be an angry fan wanting to charge the field and most likely drop-kick Rossi.
All I can say is ... i understand!

That s the reason why i chose Lazio . That was a lesson for players such Kolarov, Zarate and Ledesmar... they can leave but when they wearing Lazio color shirt, they should learn how to fight for this color, for this history. Nice work JoFo. xD

Igli Tare Surprised By Lazio Fans' Protests The Biancolesti suffered a humiliating 4-1 home defeat on Sunday, and the supporters weren't at all pleased... Lazio director of sports Igli Tare apologised for the team's poor showing last weekend as they were humbled by Cagliari at the Olimpico stadium.
However, he was not pleased with the reaction of the Biancocelesti fans, who booed the players and chanted angry slogans even though this season has been a good one for Delio Rossi's men.
"We disappointed against Cagliari, but I did not expect protests like the one on Sunday," declared the Albanian to Radio Radio.
"Since I've been at Lazio, our supporters have always been an extra weapon. Their jeers did not help at all.
"We have no difficulty to admit that Sunday was a disastrous day and to accept the criticism, but this squad is responding fully to the expectations.
"We're showing some good football, we established the record number of points in the first round and reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia."
Tonight Lazio will try to regain some lost pride as they face Sampdoria at the Marassi stadium of Genoa in the 21st matchday of Serie A.

Just apologising is not work to make things better. Some measures have to be taken. When I read what Igli Tare said about Coppa Italia, I was surprised, sad and angry. Of course winning Coppa is important and good but I think Igli Tare wants to show something to cause fans to forget team's bad situation and he seems to be happy if we take part in UEFA, which proves that he is thinking small. However, fans expectations about Lazio are big, they want to see Lazio's flag on the sky and we deserve it. Because when someone counts the top fans groups on the world, Irricubili will be always in list. This shows us that we deserve more than what we have now. Forza Lazio
