Nicola Penta, the consultant called by Moggi to analyze the tapes put it bluntly, Lazio was screwed only because they wanted Moggi and so Lazio were, in his words, "external collaborators". What's more, is that he says riom was involved in much more "embarassing" and "serious" tapings, but were never included in the investigation.

Of course, it's not pleasant to know we were served as a tool to catch Moggi, but as a solace, more or less it wipes the stain of calciopoli from our image. Regarding merda, I read somwhere some time ago, they have big names in the authorities, probably they cover the scum of the city. All in all, one thing that annoys me most, all those scandals born from rivalry, they don't seem to clear the league, powerful man with their influence screw smaller ones and so on, one day Juve is in scandals, the other Inter's trophy is taken back...al that ruins the image of the calcio, the price of those games is too high and they don't seem to care about the common, united image of the league, which apparently is wrong. I am sure such scandals appear in other leagues, but it doesn't get that noisy...the last one I recall was the betting scandal of the refs in Bundesliga, but now, German football is proserring, while the italians are still digging in scandals.

I wonder if this will ever end, five years after the scandel broke. The endless embarrasment to Italian football needs to be put to bed. There is definately corruption in other leagues, in Spain as well with the Hercules scandle only last year, but how many remember that now I wonder. I not saying sweap it under the carpet, simply ban those involved from the game, and wrap it up.
