Muslera has played very well and the lossess wre not his fault - but we need to give Carizzo another chance. We risk burning this kid completely, losing him and, I believe, regreting the whole thing badly when he does find his groove in Europe. This is the kind of thing that makes me seriously wonder if Rossi knows how to work with people. Put Carizzo back in net....NOW. Forza JP!

Nah.

“I don't know why I'm still sitting on the bench at Lazio,” Carrizo told the ANSA news agency.

“I have no idea what to think about the whole situation, but at least I can play in two games now and show my ability.”

I'll give you a hint - its maybe something to do that we trusted you, and you screwed up numerous times for us, not diving, giving away penalties...

Go fuck yourself Carrizo, get another club, it's because of arrogant shitheads like you Lazio doesnt function as a team.

He still needs time, but he wont get any. It took Muslera well over a year, after a horendous first year at the club, he couldnt keep Balotta out of the team. I feel he has been a total scapegoat, dropped after some of the worst defending ive seen against Cagliari from out 'fantastic' centre backs, bar perhaps Chievo, and not given a second chance. I also think Rossi has no clue how to work with people, it took him over half a season to start putting Foggia in as a regular starter. Rossi had a chance to put him in against Catania due to Muslera's injury, and the 3 - 0 hammering we took the week before he didnt take it and I cant see anyway back for Carrizo here now which is a shame in the long term

granted, players need to take responsibility fortheir own play, but if we start burning through players like this we'll destabilize the entire organization and nobody will ever want to play for us. I think Carizzo deserves another chance, and I've thought it for a while. I was quite suprised to see Muslera in net against Chievo.

Muslera has been solid, changing goalkeepers is not the answer. I also don't like Carrizo's mentality, instead of working harder getting in the team he starts this i'm leaving talk.
MUSLERA ALL THE WAY!!!

First, I thank you to open such a topic bro. This Carizzo problem is one of our many problems. OK, I accept he has taken chances but wasnt as we expected. After that, Muslera took the position and till now, he is good and the goals conceded mostly were due to defence mistakes. However, it is fact that not all players can use the chance well first time when it is given. But, it doesnt mean Carizzo is not a player who can play for Lazio. I am feeling good about him. I believe that he will be future star and we shouldnt look him as a player we must get rid of. We cant throw such promising player,on the contrary we must try to utilize them and prepare for squad. However, while our coach is rossi, I dont never expect this type of behaviours from him. Rossi has a management problem and Carizzo is a victim of that. Sad.

Come on, he is Argentines Number one!

He was one of the most important signings this season, so I would be very angry if he leaves next season...

Well I have said before that we shouldn't give up of Carizzo so easy. I don't blame him for giving such comments. God knows what Lotito and Rossi promise him before he came and I think is Rossi's job to keep his mind on filed not on media and to assure him that he will be first GK if he work hard enough.

We all know how shit was Muslera at the beginning but he developed to very confident GK. Can some of you imagine how big was the pressure for Carizzo to come to new surrounding and to became in a moment first choice without knowing the players and the language.

Give him time and chance.

Muslera did not bitch and moan when he screwed up and was benched.  He has since clearly improved and was a critical component in our 4 game winning streak that basically salvaged our season from a complete disaster.  Carizzo has really not shown any of his star quality on this team.  Im not saying he doesn't deserve another chance, but he really is being a prick about it.  Don't threaten to leave after you've been rightfully benched.  Everyone crucifies Ledesma for his similar conduct, yet for some reason there is sympathy with Carizzo.  Hopefully he proves himself when he gets the chance.

Just because the lad is talented doesnt mean he should start, if he is incosistent and our other goalkeeper is performing up to par why should we bench him for that prima dona carizzo.

Well Muslera was the same was he not? He had to come to the country without knowing the language etc in January last year... I remember the uproar when everybody slagged off Muslera for his early performances.. I don't understand therefore, why you  and others are making excuses for Carrizo being shit - lets be frank here, he maybe number 1 for Argentina, but if Abbondanzieri was still available, Carrizo wouldnt be.

Some of you have it in your heads that because Carrizo is number 1 of a national team he should get special treatment.. well that attitude reminds me very much of Mr Rossi and Lotito who also seem to have their favourites to the detriment of the team's balance/ability.

Although I dont really agree with that mentality, I can see where it comes from.  For our smaller team like us, especially, it is important to have nationals on the squad.  I dont really think Rossi is of that mentality though he has benched both Rozenhal and Carizzo recently who are both guys who start on successful national teams.
