Some positive news on the Lazio front regarding attandances. Lazio's game against Juve on sunday marks the seasons half way mark and looking at our attendance stats we are growing in stature as a club. Our Average attendance this season works out at 33,527 with a season high of 50,000 against Inter which I believe will be run close tommorow against Juve. Our season low was 25,500 against Napoli and this was only so due to the fact that Napoli fans were banned from the olimpico. This is a great step forward from last season. We are now the 5th best attended club in serie A, behind Milan, Inter, Roma and Napoli. Compared to the 2007/2008 season we were the 9th best attended club with just a 21,485 average behind Serie A middleweights like Sampdoria and Palermo. Compare this further still to our average in 2006/2007, which was 25,048, then we are on the right track to getting back to 45,000+ average that we used to get. This is important for the club i believe if we are to return to the days of old. If nothing else it will mean more money for the club thi season. Forza Lazio 05 07 09

i hate seeing roma merda having more attendance than we have. But i believe if the team continues to play well and fight for some of the top positions we can have even bigger attendances.

I agree. It is a shame that Roma get more but at least we are growing. It must be better for ther players to play in a better atmosphere and for the league as a whole as most clubs attendances are up this season.  07

I agree with you bro. This is annoying. However, the real fans are fans that always support team in bad days as much as they do in good days. Being fan is requared this. It is a fact that in bad terms team needs fans...

FORZA LAZIO     00 00 00  We have to show merda  that our club love is much more than theirs

For this I speak about long time ago. If we invest and go forward we will lose nothing but only improve. This is great news but Lotito will F**k it if he didn't buy some mid and def this mercato. We must grab a good Europian spot this season.

Unofficially 60,000 at last nites match. Great atmosphere, the best weve had all season and since last seasons match with Real Madrid 07. Brings out average up to around 37,000 which is closing down on the merde. I think the people of Rome are beginning to recognise that we have a good team building up, similar to that of the quality we had in 1998 before we really broke through as a major force in Europe and Italy. I believe this will happen again, most of our players are around 23 years old so they will only get better

Those are very interesting stats. Juventus is 10th with an avg. attendance of 22,000. That's incredible!

An update on our attendance stats this season.

Highest to lowest

1.55,000      -   Lazio    1 – 1    Juventus      Serie A
2.50,000      -   Lazio    0 – 3    Inter          Serie A
3.50,000      -   Lazio    2 – 1    Juventus       Coppa Italia
4.40,530      -   Lazio    0 – 3   Milan          Serie A
5.38,237      -   Lazio    1 – 1    Lecce         Serie A
6.34,300      -   Lazio    2 – 0   Sampdoria       Serie A
7.32,500      -   Lazio    3 – 0    Fiorentina       Serie A
8.31,266      -   Lazio    0 – 3    Chievo       Serie A
9.31,110      -   Lazio    1 – 1    Genoa       Serie A
10.30,799      -   Lazio    3 – 0   Siena       Serie A
11.29,801      -   Lazio    1 – 0    Palermo      Serie A
12.29,523      -   Lazio    1 – 4   Cagliari       Serie A
13.29,500      -   Lazio    1 – 0    Catania       Serie A
14.28,646      -   Lazio    2 – 0    Bologna       Serie A
15.28,163      -   Lazio    1 – 1    Torino      Serie A
16.25,500      -   Lazio    0 – 1    Napoli         Serie A

2008 / 2009 League average of 34,325
2007 / 2008 league average of 21,485

Obviously, and somewhat naturally, attendances increase as the team appears to play better. Take Chievo as an example, a minnow, in which we drew our 8th best attendance after 4 wins on the trot. These stats are favourable to last season, where we only got two attendances in the league over 30,000 and only an additional four over 20,000. Heading in the righ direction!

Would still like to see full attendance even when the team is doing a bit poorly, some of these small clubs pack in their stadium all season long regardless of their place in the standings.  Has any new info on a new stadium come up?

It's all about expectations and we surely failed them. The thing might have improve if Lotito buy some player during winter mercato but that doesn't happened. Our only chance to get things right is to get Uefa spot and winning Coppa. However we must not stay only with renewing players contracts coz that job should be done long time ago, its obvious one good mid and 1-2 solid central defenders.

New and star players must be added, of course, at this point I agree with Jofo, we are talking about Lotito. He still cant finish Zarate issue and uncertainty is still available for either zarate or matu or pandev or etc. Before new players, we must try to keep our best players.

I guess, all Laziale know that we need 2 central defender and midfielder and a winger. We definitely buy players for these positions. Otherwise, going to match will not be attractive for fans ( except real fans who always support team anyway ).

We need consistency and one or two champions to attract the fans.

I think we will wait for this a long time bro. Now, it is a fact that we cant make a team like in 2000, due to economical reasons and others. So we should try to utilize from youngs we have and find new talents. But, we should add some experinced and quality players also.
I dont think we can be champion in next 5 years or more, but during next 5 years, we must make a team which can fight for CL spot at least.
