Yes. They are currently top of Serie C1 by two points with 5 games to go. 'A season with Verona ' is a great read. Before I read that I didnt like Hellas, they usually beat us when we were away, a bit like the Atalanta taboo that we have now, and had then to. But they are a club worthy of Serie A football, have die hard fans and it would be great to see them back in the top flight, hopfully Parks will do a follow on then.

Well, this is sad news indeed. Very sad.
Taken directly from LLSN, 9,400 subscriptions i.e season tickets have been applied for, with the deadline Friday. That's the lowest it's been... since... well, does it matter.
"If it is not a desert, it is close."
Season tickets are obviously not the entire contribution but as I type, only 2000 tickets have been bought for the Bologna game. Of course it's only Tuesday but you get what I'm saying. This on the day that Lotito says that he wants to win back the fans. *facepalm*

Ultras must adopt to new rules and changes, otherwise they'll stop existing. I only can't understand how smoothly tessera was implemented to Italy. For a country where ultras origin I expect more pressure from them.
Anyhow, the times when Lazio had over 15000 fans on away games and more then 50000 at home are over.

un-fucking believable, any thing less than 20,000 even for bologna will be pathetic. I guess CN is really as stubborn as they say.

When I went to the Samp game (Zarate's home debut) it was 54,000 or so. Brilliant. So that was when, 2008/2009? So we ain't even talking about a long period of time. And now this.
Lotito's role is that of a blood sucking leech, but replace blood with the 'life and spirit' out of the club.

Last years average of 36,154 was the highest for some time and considering it was a truly woeful season I guess it was not bad, still not a patch on the 90s however.
But now it looks like even that has been shot to shit. 11,000 would be absolutely pathetic for a capital city club in Serie A, and one with our tradition. It's possible that ultras and other fans will buy tickets closer to the match but it does look pretty desperate. It could have further ramifications for never investing in this squad if nobody is there to actually care about it. I have to say I expected the Ultras to be there if only to protest against their dreaded tessera.

The question is to what extent this is a reaction to Lotito and to what extent this is a reaction to the tessera?

Easy, both. Aren't they one and the same? Both bloated, soul destroying pieces of crap.
To be fair... attendances, even during the solid Rossi years, weren't as high as they should be, and that, as described in the latest NC Episode, can also be attributed to Roman's being lazy, and imo also down to the bullshit TV coverage that basically covers every game so there's no "need" to go and watch the game live.

As things got worse and worse last season more fans seemed to come and give their support, on the road as well. Notably Lazio v Bari got a gate of just under 47,000 and Lazio v Siena just under 42,000. Additionally I remember Bologna away where we seemed to fill the curva where our fans were based. Hardly marque games, but at a stage when points were desperate. Maybe its a question of the tessera being the final nail in the coffin, the final insult from their viewpoint. Given that also the Ultras are the main support and that they objected to the tessera surely this has to be the overriding reason even if Lotito rein is surely enough on its own to keep people at home. Especially given the pleasure they get from unsulting Lotito for 90 minutes + injury time . The TV point must be a crucial factor as well.

Im sure the tessera wouldn't have scared away as many Lazio fans if it were not for Lotito; but as bad as his management skills are I think serieA's miss-management puts Lotito to shame. they are tripping over them selves to fuck Calcio up for every one. so without further ado, I think most of the blame for Lazio's 9,500 season ticket holders lies with SerieA and the tessera. I still dont get the one non-EU player a year. how does this make Italy/Serie better? I have heard them say "It will help the National team". this makes no sense, "EU" is europe not just Italy. If they want to promote Italian players put a floor on italian player in each team, not a ceiling on talent.

Well the one non-eu rule is an absolute joke, a knee jerk reaction to the world cup debacle which for the most part can be blamed on Lippi's woeful squad selection and tactical choices.
I agree with Debez. Everytime something positive seems to happen in calcio something comes along to smash it down. Serie A had its best attendances for some time last year, especially during the last 12 or so rounds of the season when most teams had something to play for, whether that be a championship, europe or relegation. It was interesting, tight and the attendances recognised that. They seemed to know this card would have a bad reaction yet they still pushed it through. It was supposedly designed to remove 'trouble makers', but they must know who they are so why make everyone go through a pointless registration process. An utterly pointless waste of time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - and I'll keep it simple. Calcio is run by dinosaurs who are stuck in the 90's heyday. They are completely out of touch with modern football. The worst thing initially for me was the banning of flares. It was a beautiful thing that made Calcio's atmosphere literally red hot and of course it was Calcio's old fashioned and poor stadia mixed with the archaic running of security that resulted in the death of that Policeman which was why they got banned in the first place.
People say that it would be criminal if Bundesliga got an extra CL spot. For me it wouldn't. It's going to have to take something like that to wake up Calcio and stop living in the past. It needs to modernize, and fans need to get back to the games, not removed. A big factor for the resurgence in Bundes is the fact that every game, every week is a sell-out or a near sell out. Yes Calcio attendances have improved at times but they have done everything possible to make life shit for the fans, i.e tessera, and parking that people hate at games, lest we forget the poorly organized security that scares people off etc.

^^ It's pretty simple, the Italian government will do nothing to clean up the atmosphere in the stadium because then it would have to fix the original problem for which the stadium became an escape in the first place - namely the Italian economy.

As of Yesterday we have so far sold 10,000 season tickets for next season, not bad after just two weeks of them going on sale. According to the ever reliable http://www.stadiapostcards.com/A10-11.htm we only had 12,877 in total sold last season.
