I figured I'd start a special topic for news flash information of the FYI variety. Anything that seems worthy of extended discussion should be put in it's own topic and if a topic seems to be getting a great deal of heat, I can split it.

Hopefully we can include information not generally available in the English press. Please include a source for your info so we have a sense for it's validity.

The death of Sandri did not touch me personally but it is good to see that his memory lingers on and is acknowledged even by the club itself. Such was the furore around his death at the time that it would be quite pathetic if he were forgotten in a couple of seasons.

Lotito gave a lecture today on running a business at the University dellla Sapienza' di Roma...If that wasn't funny enough, the media (who could care less about his lecture tried to stir shit up on the Zarate situation.)

"We need all players learn to reason with the logic of 'us' and not with the 'I'. Only in this way a team can aim to achieve important results. In any event do not intend to judge the actions of individuals, also because I think our coach is absolutely capable of handling the situation in appropriate ways. "

He went on to talk specifically on Zarate and the mercato;

"We are in November so there is no problem with Zarate, who is clearly superior to the technical qualities, but is failing to express them because of a number of factors including the pressure that must be filled surely has to face day after day despite his young age. Beyond these small problems you will see that his star will return to shine. There is no case on Zarate. "

Il Tempo, reports that according to recent analysis, the value of the Lazio roster jumped from 50-60 million Euros six months ago to about 150 million today. not bad, hopefully Lotito doesn't get any ideas about selling the entire squad!

Its suggested that this game was Olimpia's last. The animal protection rights will have Olimpia banned from flying.

Hopefully Olimpia can still sit inside our stadiums.

That's retarded! It's a fucking bird flying inside a stadium!!!!!!! I guess it's more humane to keep a bird in a cage.

And they let Diakite play, so not fair.
