I've see all our games and finally question myself, are we having at the moment hero or idol that presents Lazio and can make things move forward when there bad???
Liverpool have Gerrard (more then icon of the club, he is Liverpools heart)
Inter have Zanetti
Juventus have Buffon, Del Piero, Nedved (these guy wont leave the club even is seria B)
Milan they really have many
But the question is who do we have, I ask myself this while I was watching the derby. I thought who will yell to our lads to fight and not to give up, who will have the credibility to make things change???
Believe me I don't have the answer and I think that that's what Lazio is missing last years.

Lazio have not had a hero since Di Canio.

Tomasso Rocchi. Possibly Carizzo can be our next "icon" if he continues to develop.

Good topic. I'd have to say Paolo Dicanio who is probably a controversial choice among fans. But he was one player who bled blue and white. Scoring one of the most memorable goals in Lazio history, a clip which i've watched so many times. I recommend anyone to read his bio.

I hope Zarate will be our next hero though. He is definately showing the potential but will he stay with the team in the future or be another to betray us for bigger money.

I love Tomasso, but he's just not the most charasmatic individual... but definately one for the history books. Pandev definately on the list as well.

What makes a player a hero is dedication and commitment to the team.

Simeone, nesta and Peruzzi.

Rocchi is becoming a true icon and I think if Zarate stays at least a few years and scores some big goals he will certainly be.

in my opion, first diego sineone, next peruzzi and claudio lopez  nesta, salas, veron, couto. at this time, i believe that tomasso rocchi, cristian ledesma, pandev and zarate can become to lazio's legend!!!

My first and only choose for an idol definitely is Paolo Di Canio. Even tough he did not spend his all football life in Lazio, we stiil want all Lazio players to play like him and to love Lazio like he does. His relationship with fans were also very good. He is a real legend for Forza Lazio story. There are many things to talk about his life I suggest to be read his bio.

Peruzzi for sure, until he retired.

Rocchi most recently, hopefully Di Silvestri one day.  And Di Canio for all time.

Poor Claudio Lopez though... the fucking guy has to live in Kansas City now.  He's lived in Rome, Valencia, Mexico City, and Buenos Aires to name a few... and now Kansas City?

No, I love the guy.  Him and Corradi were sick together at the front, that was one of my favourite periods for Lazio, after all the superstars fucked off, Stam, Lopez, Corradi, and Peruzzi stuck it out.  I just meant I feel bad for him, and wonder where he went wrong in life to have gone from the Eternal City (and other beautiful places in the world) to the shittiest city (except maybe Columbus) in the MLS.

My own personal favourite idol or hero of Lazio are Nesta and Nedved, which i love to see them play last time, they are the most consistant players on the squad and have shown alot of quality to the Lazio performance.
However, my hero will be born again in Carizzo and Zarate, hopefully they will remain with us forever. 00

I think Beppe Signori was an idol and hero for the time he was at the club. When he got loaned out to Samp after a few games in 97-98 there were riots and protests in Rome. For me he is always going to be my hero. When he came back to play Lazio and scored he never celebrated. He had class and respect.

Zarate and Carizzo also Pandev could be candidate for hero but I think they wouldn't be as big as Di Canio...
