Di Canio, Oddo, Liverani, Negro, Peruzzi probably some others... all these comments are really going to help attract players to this team and all share the same message Lotito Must Go. It's one thing to be in financial difficulty and have to pay low wages but don't treat them like garbage.

Lotito is an idiot. It's obvious that no one cares about Lazio more than us fans. The players care about it until another team offers them more (98% of them) and Lotito of course just cares about the balances. Maybe it's not that drastic, but definitely, the fans are the ones that care the most...that's for sure.

from channel4...
Cragnotti seeks Lazio comeback Saturday 22 December, 2007
Former Lazio President Sergio Cragnotti ? who took the club to the brink of bankruptcy ? has offered to help current patron Claudio Lotito.
?During my stay in Madrid it was very exciting and moving to see so much affection from the Lazio fans. Many people asked me to come back,? Cragnotti told Nuova Spazio Radio.
?Would I return? My affection for this club shall never wane. I have some family issues to sort out right now, but we will see what the future holds.
?The problem is that the future of Lazio depends on President Lotito and his choices. The others can only observe his work and eventually offer some important projects.?
It would be a shock comeback for Cragnotti, whose reign saw the Biancocelesti win the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Cup Winners? Cup, but also a total financial collapse in 2002 that forced him to sell up to Lotito.
However, Lazio?s Ultras have long been at war with Lotito, who they accuse of penny-pinching and mistreating their favourite players, such as Tommaso Rocchi, Angelo Peruzzi and Paolo Di Canio.
?I am at Lotito?s disposal, if he decides to begin a winning project,? added Cragnotti.
?I don?t know if Lotito will accept my proposal of collaboration, seeing as he likes to do everything by himself. For now let us put our faith in this President.
?My only criticism right now is that, having restructured the club, he is not planning for that step up in quality. The Lazio fans deserve to know their side?s real prospects.?
Coach Delio Rossi has also complained following their Champions League exit that the team was not reinforced with enough strength in depth during the summer transfer dealings.
?If I were to return to Lazio, I would try to take them back where they belong, as this is not a provincial side,? added the former patron.
?A winning strategy is de rigueur for a club like this. We will see if I can find a financial backer to help me in this quest.?

Hey I love fairytales too!! But just out of curiosity, where's all the money that Cragnotti owes from the last time he was president?? I love Cragnotti, but honestly, this is all just too rediculous. If Sergione wants to help, start by paying back your debts!!!!! A guy can leave a team virtually bankrupt, be indicted for fraud and other financial mismanagement related to his time as president and then try to come back to the very same team and assume control after someone else worked out the deal to save it from the bankruptcy he created in the first place!!!! Sorry, but rationally speaking, things can't work that way!!! I think the solution to lotito is not Cragnotti. Why can't we just have a normal situation? Why is it a choice between Cragnotti who spends like a sailor on shore leave and Lotito who spends like a pensioner???
Forza Lazio!!!! 00

It's strange how Lazio have struggled this year, despite putting on some incredible performances against top quality opposition. Alot of the problem, apart from what everyone has already mentioned (lack of adequate reinforcements, refusal to spend money properly to secure our stars and acquire more, NO LUCK WHATSOEVER, etc.), is that Lazio has not been able to enforce their game on the field this season. In so many cases, Rossi seems to be looking for a quick counter attack or to score on a fast midfield turnover. Very rarely have Lazio dominated possession and held control of the game by a short passing game. 'Hoof-ball' and sloppy possession have cost the club dearly. However, and this is the incredible part, Lazio have not played that poorly against their best opponents. Lazio's Champions League matches against Real Madrid were both competitive, open affairs that, in retrospect, were perfectly winnable but for some inconsistent finishing. Our Serie A match against Juventus was outstanding! Lazio got more shots on goal and dominated the game than any other against the Turin side this season. And we still lost 3-2! Delio Rossi must stay and is right: it is the willpower of the team and their spirit that are crucial. We have the players, the coach and the following to make AT LEAST the UEFA Cup this year. If the Aquile keep playing forcefully and manfully, they will climb their way back up the Serie A ladder. FORZA LAZIO! NON MOLLARE MAI! 07

I think we've had moments where we shined but for the most part i wasnt too happy with the first 5 or 6 games which I thought we would have breezed through and putting us ahead of the merde who had the hardest schedule.
How can we possibly get a UEFA cup spot ??? We know pretty well we're not beating the following teams for a spot:
1. Inter 2. Rioma 3. Juventus 4. Udinese 5. Fiorentina 6. Milan (we know they're going to climb)
I hate to always be the pessimist but I dont see this team winning the coppa italia if we cant even place in the top 6 and I also dont see us finishing above any of the teams listed. No doubt we've been plagued with bad luck, club drama and a bad president... but at this point its going to take luck on our part and bad luck on our adversaries to pull off a uefa cup spot. When we havent managed to beat any of the listed teams .. do you think its possible ?

If the finalists for Coppa Italia are in the top six (which is likely) then the seventh place team gets the spot. I think Udinese will comw down a bit anyway. The game against Palermo and the game against Juve were probably the best perforances we put in outside of the first game against Madrid. Hopefully CN is right and this is the "sovlto" we've been waiting (and praying for). Forza Lazio!!! 00

I wish I was as optmistic as you ..
I think we will do better this time around now that we're out of the CL .. but lets not forget Udinese beat Juve, Fiorentina, including us, and tied palermo which is more to be optmistic about then we have especially when we're 8 points from relegation ( not that i think we'd ever get relegated). I think this team needs more defining moments than a tie and a loss to show that they can bring success.
FORZA LAZIO!

In 65 years of Serie A competition, Lazio are on average and 8th place team - which is respectable enough. Under Lotito, we have finished 10th, sixth and third (5th if you don't count deductions to Milan and Fiorentina). The point here is not that Lotito is great, I think he's far from perfect, but the fact is, Lazio have done better than historically since he's been around. You can argue he could have done and should have done better to reinforce the team this year, but you can't argue he has been a disaster for the team. This having been said, I don't think management style is effective and if he doesn't change his attitude, the team will not perform at this level for very long. I think that in the end, what drives me crazy about this guy is that he shows us our potential and then dashes our hopes. It would not have been hard to make a couple signings for the CL and at least make a go of it. As I have written many times before, I remain optimistic until the end of January when the market closes - then we'll see - and even then, a season is judged at the end, not the middle.
Forza Lazio!!!!

I've discuss this kind of argument very many way, with other Lazio fan.
Lotito is for shure not my idea of president, he may be unpleasant, but in this very moment is the only one we got.
I don't see any Murdoch or Bill Gates, that will buy our team.
the truth is that Lotito is now a necessary hill probably the minor possible hill.
he had do very god thing for our team, he take Lazio very near the bottom of a Crack, he cut a lot of money loose, he has build a team that has do no so bad in the past years.
this years alas! President Lotito and his Collaboratos, has thinked , they could do well with the same players of the last years.
unfortunatly, accidents has prevented players like Mauri, Rocchi,Mudinghay, and so on to play so well as in the 2006/2007 season.
in fact, in janury, Lotito has spend some money (a lot for Lazio poket) to try to made a stronger team and raise from the right column of the ranking.
you must also knows that he is still pay the debt leave to him by the previous manager.
this debt will be strog reduced this year, and we all hope that next years will be more satisfying for us all
