Let's debate who is entirely useless. I've put a star next to the ones who I would like us to keep. And I would like us to keep the players in that list who I personally regard as having some worth - that could be monetary value for future transfers, or being good enough to actually play for this team.

+ Is an exception. The player has better skills then most of the others but is best served as a makeweight in a transfer deal.


If nothing else, apart from repeating points ad nauseum, this thread is a real eye opener to how much shit Lazio have collected over the years, most of this has come since Rossi's first season!

Give me one reason why I wouldn't be. He gets criticism because he is old... and yet he runs more, passes better and is more agile then Cruz and all of our shit midfielders who are younger then him. He cannot shoot very well but is actually one of our better midfielders (Which I admit isn't saying much). Unless you care to disagree. Arschloch? 

Would agre with all, but Stendardo isn't useless as a sub and I don't share Theo's distaste for Matuzalem.

As for Brocchi, I've said that since day 1 - he's good at his role - pitbull and garbage man and he's got loads of experience which helps on a young team.

Interesting. Everyone has slightly different opinions from each other... though equally there is a lot of common ground.

A couple of players stood out for me that seem to split opinion (Baronio as even a reserve is not going to get any attention, less said the better)


Matuzalem - Cost us 6.5 million. Has provided one league goal. And I'm not sure how many assists. I bet it's less. Plus he's always injured. Worst thing is, we are stuck with him until 2014. He signed a 5 year deal when he joined.

Diakite - IMO there is no logic at all in keeping him. Aside from the visual torture it is to see him run with his hands near his genatalia all the time, he is clumsy as fuck, not very agile, has no real concentration, no pace, garbage spacial awareness and barely any tackling skills. IF you try and beat him in a high ball you'll probably lose, but otherwise, forget it.

Btw, I also disagree with the common consensus that the likes of those 2 and others like Mauri, Cruz and some of the other lesser good players but not totally shit players we should keep because they would make good subs. Mah. The whole point of substitutes is either to replace tired quality with fresh legged quality, or to bring somebody on who can affect the result of the game, either get a goal or help keep it tight.
The last thing I want from this team is to think, hey, it's 1-0 with 10 mins to go, let's bring on Diakite! Or, we need a goal, let's bring on Mauri/Matuzalem (happened before) That makes things much much worse! All the crap players should go. I do not accept that mediocre players should be used as subs.

I'm talking pie in the sky of a complete revamp here!

I would still keep Rocchi, Brocchi and Lich, we need substitutes too. 

With a better coach and a more talented team, I think Foggia would be an asset. He needs a team with a decent defense, otherwise he's a disaster because of his lax defensive skills. Balla wants him to fit into the mess of a men over talent defensive schemes he attempts.

Get rid of all the players who have any shread of European heritage. Keep all those otherwise.
