Yes, he is Manzini. He does look a little shady indeed.

LLSN says that DeLaurentis is offering Reja the job of Sporting Director for Napoli next year. That would open our bench, obviously. There is also a report that Mazzari might move on and Gasperini take the reins at Napoli. Boh?

Is that sure? I mind, did he turned down? I have some strange feeling that we will stay without coach, if continue like this.

Reja is OK as a coach.. probably a bit better than ok. However, when it comes to transfers and team needs he lights a fire under Lomerda's ass so I don't mind him staying.

I was just informed via bbm from a friend that Reja has attempted to tender his resignation. It seems that Lotito has rejected it. Sportitalia may or may not have reported this. We'll have to wait for details.

Lotito has said it himself, Reja wanted to quit but Lotito wouldnt hear it, and the players helped talk him down.

Apparently Reja has asked for a couple of days to think it over.

So are we going to continue this topic where it belongs to, baggio! Great Idea.. We should more often lay discussions to the specific topic to discuss more constructive!

its good the players are behind him, just as i thought, but i fear he will be gone end of season if we dont qaulify for the champions league,if we fail to finish top 3 then maybe its time for a change,if we do finish top 3 then a new contract should be on the table for edy, this club needs stability.
i would love to see us move to a new stadium, just like juve, the atmosphere in there is awesome, the olympico is always half empty even less, although i do love going there, its time for change.

I do also think, it would be time for a change at the end..if we do not get better..
And Lo should already make his minds up with some others having an idea on football, how to replace and that no Ballardini comes again!
and with the difficulties of Di Canio and his young career, there is only one real replacement candidate: Diego Simeone!

We have criticized Reja, at times justly, at others unjustly, but last night against Milan he got it bang on. From tctics, to personnel to mentality. And to draw this into further relief we saw Allegri on the other touch line who got it all wrong.

After the match, in case anyone thought he would simply tow the party line, Reja was quite pointed with the management:

"We started with five, and ended with only Candreva. I expected more, we have not achieve our objectives. This was the year to aim higher, instead I'm short of men. I'm not sure if we'll get through this..."

Bravo Reja!!!

Respect is earned over time, and yes I respect Edy Reja as a coach. He almost single handedly saved us from Relegation and brought us within a win of the Champions League last year.

He defeated Milan with tactical smarts for honestly the first time in his tenure here. Does that mean we should add him to one of the ceramic statues outsides of the Olimpico? Hell No! So often than not he's got it wrong and we've been embarrassed. There's a slogan etched on our Lazio Style Store on via Calderini in Rome. It says "Give Me 5" an obvious play on words to the 5 derby defeats. And that's just scrapping the surface on Reja's shortcomings here. Time and time again excuses seem to be the only constant about his managerial tactics. Ex. We were not fresh enough tonight because we've played 2 games in a week.
"we don't have the luck of the big clubs"
"there were clear incidents that changed the game for our squad today

As much as Id like to applaud his efforts w little to work with, I feel his rant was more of a way to pave the way to the overall excuse as to why we won't make the CL next year followed by his probable resignation in June.

People forget that we have one of the largest squads in Serie A. Granted the majority of them are dead weights but thr club did a decent job to alleviate them from our books. The point I'm trying to make is I'd prefer a tactician with an actual tactical plan. Not just a defensive strategy to beat Milan once every 14 years and more importantly someone who takes responsibility for his actions and not hide behind the travails of off the pitch of a crack Sporting Director and President who we already knew were not up to par

IMO there are worlds between the likes of a Mourinho, Heynckes, Hitzfeld, Ferguson, Del Bosque.... long list and our coach! But what I can say is: since except from Dino Zoff and Mancini, WHO was really a better coach, than he is!? Making us such a unit! And how long is he here? Two years? So that makes 12 years he has infront of him to win a milan game at home again!! My point is, that I do not share all his decisions, but I am with the most of them as "acceptable" and "understandable"...as a coach, how often you just can "try" and "gamble" to reach the best or get the worst! And in 14 years of Lazio not beating Milan, he is surely definately one of 3 best coaches we had! Very straight, not doing all the things the way LoMerda wants him to and bringing success! And I mean success as we are 4th place AGAIN! today..

He is far from perfect, yes! But who in italy is? And Give me five?!? Baggio, remember who was coach when we got humilated by Merda 1-5 with four fucking Montella goals! Do you want such coaches back! Really? Me not! And there where players like NESTA in the squad!!! We cannot hire and fire coaches as we want if we do not agree with every single decision of him! And if Reja once retires, I want a coach to get more out of the team, as he did! But what he gets out of the team is quite great!

We had very poor games this season and sometimes (too often even for me) I asked myself: Does there exist a tactical "plan" in our attacking game!? It wasnt quite developed though and with some new players upfront, there is always not the understanding..but it definately becomes better! The losses to Milan and Inter, we played both matches ON THE SAME level and had our real good chances! We arent professional coaches, but what would I answer then?! Great chances against Milan and still lost to them 3-1 as they scored lucky easy goals from 4 chances...

I do not know anybody available to be better for us than him!!! Especially as long as we play for Europe and are IN the race for CL quali!
Do you know one? One, where success is guaranteed? AND where we all would be satisfied and not moaning, if a result isnt great, like that in Siena... That game was like a wake up call though IMO!
