HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINISA

Please define yesteryear.

His definition is most likely something that would have been tolerated in Sodom, considering his uncanny praise. You might not want to have asked that question.

Mihajlovic has done a very good job at Catania.
When he took over they were dead last and after a good run of results, they look as good as safe.
Meanwhile, after an opening win, Reja has had only 1 point in 4 games.

Mihajlovic is a big fan of the club and for him, Lazio would be the best job in the world.
Keep in mind that his children train in Lazio youth set up.
He was alwayes the great motivator and I believe that lack of motivation and entusiasm have been the biggest problem for Lazio this season.

Lazio are already thinking about making a management change this summer, lining up Catania Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic to replace Edy Reja.

Things haven't improved since Reja replaced Davide Ballardini in the spring and Lazio are still in danger of relegation with four games remaining this season.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito is extremely disappointed, especially as his side won the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup last year.

Lotito is said to have respect for Reja, but feels that Mihajlovic is the right man in the long-term after sparking a spirited revival at Catania.

Mihajlovic would also be a popular choice among the club's fans, as he spent six very successful years at the club between 1998 and 2004, winning the Scudetto under Sven-Goran Eriksson.

The 41-year-old Serb has also been linked with Sampdoria and is bound to be the subject of much speculation this summer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can't see it myself. I believe Sinisa signed a deal to keep him at Catania next season... unless a bigger club came in. Does that mean us?

Anyway this article doesn't have a source, and it's just a guestimated rumour imo. Still, everyone knows my opinion on Reja;
even if we are just playing devil's advocate here, what do you think? I always got the impression that Sinisa was never a huge fan of Lotito so would find it difficult to work with him. Hm. But do I want this to happen? More then anything in the world. I think.

Several articles from LSN and Lazialita have suggested for a while thatthere will be some kind of "administrative revolution" which will include a new coach, Tare essentially demoted to scouting, a new DS and Peruzzi to head the team. It would be the best thing short of new ownership.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito is extremely disappointed, especially as his side won the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup last year.

I have to digress on this topic,

Is Edy Reja now going to be lotito's scapegoat for the horrible season ?

How about second half of last season ? .. or was that ALL Delio's fault. I understand a little might have to do with the coaches but sorry mr romanista most of this is on your head.

Yes we won the coppa italia .. but we had a better team then. Yes we won the supercup but that was a giant fluke if you ask me and anyone with a brain would realize this unless they were completely delusional.

How bout you blame yourself for losing quality players and bringing in more mediocre/shit players to this team ? Or appointing a poor coach who was fired from two other coaching positions before coming to Lazio when better options were available (ie mazzari who's worked miracles with napoli).

If you want to spend less money in the long run maybe you should just buy 1 quality player as opposed to 3 or 4 mediocre players in the long run.

Is sinisa going to change much .. i doubt it. The team is full of mediocre players who for the most part deserve to be nothing more than subs.

I watched ederson play yesterday in the CL and have to say we should have grabbed this guy at all costs in january instead of bringing in another heap of useless crap and players who aren't even used.

While a donkey like lotito is in charge i feel we can't expect this team to make a name for itself as a top contender.

A new coach is not the issue with this team .. it's the resources these coaches have to work with... so start scouting quality talent and find a new home for the pathetic losers that have accumulated over the years of useless mercatos.

IMO who ever is going to be the new coach next season things won't change much as long as lottito doesn't bring some real quality players. A good coach would just put us in the mid of the table, and i'm sure thats not the Lazio we all want and dream of.

Tare essentially demoted to scouting

But isn't that pretty much what he's doing now, in a fashion? He scouted out people like Kozak and told Lotito to sign him. Isn't that what a scout does, really

Btw I disagree, nobody wants mid-table? I'd take that RIGHT NOW! Mid-table with crap players is a far more acceptable season then it is to be near relegation with crap players... because if you end up mid-table with crap players, then you have over-acheived

Look at Chievo, they seem happy enough.

That article is the beginning of the bs articles that will came at the end of the season.

But,
I will say that Reja is nowhere near perfect choice. Infact we probably use him for the momentum that takes after coach replacement. Does he need to be replaced? Yes but only by more quality coach, we all don't want to experience new Ballsdarini. I still believe that Mihajlovic is not ready yet, he is too inexperienced. Had many down's and little up's (Sinisarman will kill me for this  ). Allegri on other hand is free, but was there a rule, year gap between two clubs of Serie A ?!?!

Now I wonder, Miha for coach? Monaco and Peruzzi in the management??? Is someone out there trying to avoid his responsibility for all this mess and point finger only at Tare and Reja. Ask yourself.

I am all for getting rid of Reja and signing sinisa if its possible. Sinisa is doing wonders at catania and i'd love to see a coach here who loves lazio as he does.

Not right now he won't. He PM'd me the other day to tell me he won't be on the forum for at least two months owing to military service.

... but when he is fully trained up member of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army... watch your back mate

But don't worry I'll protect you. I shall use witty repartee or if that fails, good old verbal aggression.

thats true , but i believe with some really quality signings we are capable for more than mid-table. I'm not talking about top spots but a spot that takes us to europe

Of course, I agree. With some real quality signings we can achieve more. However, its obtaining those signings that will be the difficult part as we know. Last summer, we waited and waited for a defender before Lotito made a botched up effort on the last day to sign some unknown from Reggina. I won't forget it, that this was his attempt and effort to reinforce us. So pathetic I can barely put it into words. Vattene.
