The sched is out. We will play in the third round on October 27 against Portogruaro or Salernitana and then, if we win, against one of Crotone,Albinoleffe, Pescara, or Triestina. More importantly, if we get to the fourth round, it'll be a third derby against the a.s. falitti. We need to get stronger, I want to win three derbies this year.

Would be a great clash for the coppa Italia, provided we win of course.

Would be great since there is no europe to look forward too but  like last year it can be a major disappointment.   The derby is only good when you have a fighting chance to win, not sure about that yet.   Winning against roma though for 2010/11 is essential, they will be in a similar posistion to last year going for the scudetto and coppa as the milan's and juve's are weak.  Inter without Mourinho, who knows could be weaker.  The derby is a legitamite chance to dent their hopes and of course gain ground in the standings against teams higher up in the table.

Additionally, examining the draw further, we are on the nightmare side of it well and truely with Rioma, Napoli, Inter and Juve all in our half.

beats the fuck out of me how Napoli is seeded 1st and Inter, who have won this competition 4 of the last 5 years or possibly even longer are ranked 8th? WTF

Not to mention a placement of 12 for our team.

Doesnt make any sense at all, I agree. We are seeded 12th because thats where we finished last campaign. The top 8 in Serie A from last season always get passage to the last 16 but why Napoli are seeded number one is, er, unexplainable.

No, its doesnt really matter at all to be honest. If anything, Inter having to go to Naples, presumably, makes it more interesting. I think it would be a merda v Inter final for sure, except that this year they are on the same side of the draw so it can't be. Perhaps the only way to stop it.

Wow, maybe a final that will actually be interesting then.

Who knows, we could do a repeat of a couple of cup campaigns ago... Rube back on track and focused on the league, Milan doing well under Allegri and focussing on CL... let's out motivate them like last time and get the cup.

Reja looks set to launch Lazio II on Wednesday againt Portogruaro. It's likely to include Stendardo and Diakite in the centre D, Cavanda, as well as Garrido, Gonzalez, Rocchi, Matu and Bresciano. Hopefully, it'll be sreamed somewhere (doubt it) - would be nice to see these guys.

glad to see some one else started this and that Im not the only one who cares about the Coppa this early. as in all tournaments, lose now and your out. doesnt matter if its Portogruaro or Inter, your still out of the Coppa.

Diakite has been promised this game for a few months now, and it will be good to see Cavanda and Garrido get some time. the rest of the guys too Stendardo, Gonzalez, Bresciano all deserve a look. Rocchi and Matu have seen Serie A game time, but goals in these early games could see them lay claim on this years Coppa Squad. all and all this is a good team selection for a game of this caliber. I might even think about inserting Kozak

Coppa games this week that I will be trying to watch(please work streams)
(26/10) Viola - Empoli
(27/10) Lazio - Portogruaro(aka Portosummaga)
(28/10) Bari -Torino

Not for me. Infact I don't usually watch Coppa games at all, not even Lazio ones, obviously unless we get far to the quarters etc.

yet you find it necessary to make that known every time others bring it up

the Coppa is Lazio's, having won 4 in the last 12 years. I should hope every one here will be dieing to watch this years round of eight encounter with ASsmerda, we have a tough path a head of us(Merda,Juve,Inter, & Napoli) this year and a good start could be just what we need. just this game, another B team and then

Forza Lazio nel Coppa Italia!!!

I for one will be devastated if there is no stream available for this game.
