This is the game on everyones mind. I should've started this thread weeks ago .. but here we go. S.S Lazio vs. Sampdoria in Rome. I managed to get half a day off to join my fellow lazio fans at curva nord bar. I just read pandev won't play against udinese but will be 100% for the coppa final which is what we want. Lets hear everyones lineups, strategy and opinions about the game that can  make or break the season for us. Lazio have manged to beat out milan and juventus and now sampdoria at home. Bring us some silverware boys!!!!!

I can't wait longer for Coppa final game, Pandev and Zarate will be shine in the final. 1 person alway score in Coppa games is Kolarov! Hopefully , they can give 100% for this game, we need a spot for UEFA cup next year but more important UEFA cup is our pride. MAKE US PROUD BLUE EAGLES !!!    04

This is a great moment for us. For me winning the cup actually means more than the opportunity to play in Europe, although that is a great benefit. If we win it confirms we are a team capable rising to the big occassion. For me it is also the opening of a new era. The era of big stars with large saleries ended in 2004, the last time we won the cup. We have a young and talented team now and this for me marks the start of a new era.

The most important game of the season. Our only salvation for this season and only exit to Europe. Its not about winning the coppa, there are too many things connected with it. Zarate deal, Pandev renewal and the most important Rossi future (I'll say f...him but knowing Lotito if he wins coppa he'll probably give him second chance). I forget when was the last time Lazio win something big. I would go with old experience players and pretty solid formation, no experiments what so ever. I don't know what reports say about availability of our players but no matter who will play we are performing under 50000 hard-core Lazio fans and we mustn't failed.

But I want to win coppa and lift that trophy for the new Lazio and our new heroes. Zarate, Lich, Pandev, Kolarov, Muslera, de Silvestri..... needs something like this to fell lazialita and the greatness of this club.

Since I know every Laziale is aware of importance of this match, actually the most important matches of recent years besides every derby, I wont repeat things we already know again. I have to agree with Jofo, we didnt win big thing for a long time. And besides these, this cup will be confidence and spirits for new players mentioned by Jofo.

I dont care anything now except this match. Win or die situation, coz lack of europe will hurt our financial or popularity issues and many things surely.

a must win for lazio and being at the olimpico with our fans behind them we can do it.It'll show that our beloved lazio can step up for the bigs games and show that we get back into europe where we belong. This is going to be lazio finest hour and starting a new phases in lazio we can build and bring in more quality players to add to our squad.

I dont know if its a blessing or a curse that this game is at the Olimpico considering how we've played there all year.  Everyone better be fucking pumped to lift the trophy in front of the Curva and have something to be proud of. Daje ragazzi!!!!!

Thats a good point about the game being at home, im not sure if its an advantage or not anymore. All in all this league season has been very disapointing. Just when it looks like we will climb up the table, we blow it. As we were not in Europe this season, I though we would be top six/seven quite comfortably. The Coppa is the salvation, a trophy and a passport to Europe. We have to take it or this season is a disaster.

This one game will define our season and maybe lolitto's reign and give many of the players their first major trophy for lazio and some their one and only.
No doubt it will give us the fans lots of smiles and glee......i hope the players know this, not really the coach this time but the players.

Lazio President Claudio Lotito Confident Of Lifting Coppa Italia Against Sampdoria
The chief is confident of winning his first trophy since taking charge of the Roman side..Lazio president Claudio Lotito has laid his eyes upon the Coppa Italia, looking forward to challenging for his first piece of silverware since taking over from Sergio Cragnotti.

Lazio clash with Sampdoria on Wednesday in the final. Having beaten Juventus in the semi-final confidence is high, and Lotito is hoping his side can reap the rewards of a good term's work in the competition.

"The Coppa Italia would be the first trophy since my appointment. It would be the passage from crisis to results," Lotito told Radio Anchio Sport.

"We have the chance to win a competition that will also allow us to play in Europe."

While Lazio have flourished in the Coppa, their form in Serie A has been less than perfect. Nevertheless, Lotito feels his side have the characteristics to do well against any team.

"This Lazio are capable of competing with everyone, but we just had some negative moments against teams who are less strong than us," added the chief.

"When we play with determination we obtain good results. It's just that we have not shown 100 per cent in all our matches."

I didnt watch Udinese match but as far as I heard, some of our best players were on field. And we lost, however, sampdoria scored 5 goals. This doesnt mean anything. Final is final, not the same motivation or mentality as in league. I regard this match as a stay or go for someone, I mean Rossi. In my opinion, even if we win, Rossi must go. But, Lotito seems not to fire Rossi if we win. This bother me.

I trust our players, for the sake of the games they played great, I am hopeful. To be honest, we are better than Samdoria but this is football tough. This our last chance, every time in league we couldnt use chances to sit at least 6th or sometimes even for 4th, but this time, I wont accept any excuse for this time.

On the other hand, the thing makes me hopeful is our seriousnees, ambition and motivation in coppa matches.
