with the tournament finally reaching the point when Italian teams participate (ie Palermo) I figured it would be time to start this post. now usually there is just one European post but this year I think Europa deserves one all to it's self.

well Palermo started with a thud or was it thun. either way they eked out a draw, to some team named Thun from the swiss league. at home no less. so nothing short of a win away will do it for them or else Italy will be down to six european teams a year early. Next round Aug. 4th

Lazio's  round will be played on the Aug.18 & 25, our opponent will be announced Aug. 5th

PLUS: unlike previously thought Lazio home games will be held in the Olimpico

no word if Olimpia will be allowed to fly

It was always gonna be at Olimpico, the thing with CONI was sorted.

Id like to think we have a chance of going far, but im not sure how far we will be able to stretch the squad to participate in both Serie A and Europa.

Can't wait for the season to start.

DeBez that was an awesome picture of Olimpia and the crowd. Crop out the bottom 1/3 and it will make a great frontpage banner.

The draw takes place today at 13.30 CET, we're seeded as well.

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the site after discovering it this week. I am hoping some of you can help me out. I am from the US but will be in Rome on the 18th for vacation, do we know if Lazio will be at home or away for the 1st game? I am having a tough time figuring it out as the results don't clearly indicate that and Roma is also in the tournament. If they are playing at home how would I go about getting tickets? I would need to make some changes to my travel arrangements as well so any information you can provide would be extremely helpful!  Thanks in advance!
