VS
Lazio have honestly hit rock bottom after 6 games of nothing to show for but two measly points. It's clear that the team teams record now shows they are not CL material or at least I think so at the moment. The tie against udinese not really the worst of the results considering they are a decent squad and we were able to open the scoresheet once again scoring more than 1 goal in a game.
It's evident now that this team needs changes, from the players we need higher calibre midfielders and evidently a new strategy or possibly tactician. We've seen the same dismal Lazio for the last weeks not being able to score despite having control of the ball and chances but you can also say that about any of the bottom 4 teams in their games.
Lotito is wanting more from his players but what he needs to realize is that you can't expect anything from a poor strategy coupled with mediocre players. I'm not saying the whole team .. but we have a good 3-4 players on that really aren't worth too much value to the team yet geat played week in and week out.
I have no doubt that Lazio will win this game but this will hardly bandaid the dreaded past 6 weeks. I'm not only expecting them to beat palermo but to beat juventus too, and continue on the same path they started. Lotito needs to understand that at this stage we need to open negotiations with high calibre KNOWN players. I think we have enough experimental players at the moment who we're waiting to come around that we need PROVEN talent.
Miccoli had is ban reduced and will be featured in the Palermo match which is going to make the game much tougher considering he's there top scorer. Palermo won't be a cakewalk either considering they are 1 point behind us along with our rivals who have had nothing but good luck since the derby.
If there is a time for this team to change its now. It's time to restore the credibility which has been lost over the last couple years that this team is nothing to fear, they are a team to contend with, and not just a generic team.
