I hope the match is very competitive.
I want torres and zarate to score on both sides.

yeah an own goal by torres and then one by Zarate!

Very funny .
I am sure we will njoy the game.
Juve drew man u and this  may really judge how we compare with the like of juve in the league here since we are not in CL.
I am looking for positives whether we win or lose or draw.....

From what i've read this game will give an idea as to what this team needs. It seems that Delio is not too optimistic about winning. I have to say the italian teams are not measuring up to the EPL teams in these friendlies. So far milan got drubbed by chelsea 5-0, Juve tied Man U and hopefully we can set a good example for serie A today.  It's sad to see that we don't have two of our starters to see the impact i'm sure they would have made (desilvestri and rocchi). But I think this will give us an idea of what type of player(s) we need in our midfield and how our defense will handle pressure. Today is a big game .. I won't be watching it but I hope to hear all your comments and which players stood out.

Maybe Roma should play Arsenal and get spanked.............just joking.
I will watch the game though it will clash with the 90th PGA championship going on now.
I love golf.

Does it take ages to connect or what??

we're spending a lot of time in our end, movement through the midfield seems a little poor - but i guess that's the part that takes time. Forza Ragazzi!! 00

both teams look sluggish but Liverpool has def. had the majority of the ball , some minor good link-ups between Keane and Keuyt but nothing really tough to deal w/

Good enough game. We were unfortunate to concede in the dyeing minutes. Siviglia really impressed me at the back and suprised me how quick he was. He was my Lazio man of the match. Pandev also looked good in the time he played, especially in the first half. Mendicino was also unlucky to have his equalizing goal disallowed for offside.
Overall though I was happy with what I watched as we matched Liverpool (who had their best 11, except Gerrard) and we didn't field our strongest 11 at any one stage (plus we were missing Rocchi and De Silvestri).

They didn't even show if either goal was offside or not, anyway we played well and forced the best saves from their goalkeeper, although carrizo did make a very good save in the second half.

From what I saw Delio treated this game as pure experimental although I do question his experimentation. Starting Makinwa ??? He is garbage. I was really hoping for Amoruso as our fourth striker. I was impressed by Pandev, Zarate and Foggia. I think Liverpools goal didnt count for much considering the dying minutes had some players who were clearly not even second string players. The last goal was a stupid mistake while we had posession and it was unlucky that the last goal was called offside. But truthfully you can't treat the score as any foreshadowing of the season. I look forward to the next few friendlies but you have to take these games with a grain of salt and examine individual player performance rather than the team itself as a whole.
