We had great expectations and lofty aims for our Europa League campaign but so far it has been rather miserable. One point from two games, third place in a group we expected to top, and -1 goal difference. Not very good at all.

Needless to say, this is a must win and I hope we do it with style. From my personal point of view this game comes a little too soon after the Derby win but hopefully it will only have a positive effect on our performance.

Convocati:

Portieri: Bizzarri, Marchetti, Scarfagna;
Difensori: Biava, Cavanda, Diakitè, Dias, Konko, Lulic, Radu, Zauri;
Centrocampisti: Cana, Gonzalez, Hernanes, Ledesma, Matuzalem;
Attaccanti: Cisse, Kozak, Rocchi, Sculli.

Most notable is the absence of Klose from the group but that is not a big a surprise. Hopefully Rocchi will finally score his 100th goal for the club.

Forza Lazio!

This has been a disappointing campaign for us. Just like the derby, we need a win and nothing less is acceptable and we must qualify for the second round AT LEAST to show this team has some credibility against the other leagues.

I also bothers me that Napoli made CL and they've shown that they can compete being in the toughest group yet we struggle in the EL against bullshit teams.

Good to see we're giving klose a break. This team should have the depth to get the result. Hopefully Cana can prove something, so far i'm hating that guy for being the shitty part of the deal in exchange for losing possibly one of the best keepers.

This is going to be a grueling week for the team but hopefully we can pull off 3 for 3 like we've never seen before, but glad we're playing against zurich and bologna after the derby.

FORZA LAZIO!

Time to win a game in Europe. Pitiful start in this competition really but the next two games will define whether we go through or go out. Derby win should have given us a boost.

surely it is a must win! as it was against Vaslui and as it was against Sporting after the sending off..
But this time I am full of hope. What I expect that the often benched players like Rocchi and Diakite and Cana finally show, that their asses are capable of being a starter or at least good substitutes.. Rocchi in all honour, but what misses he had in his games this year, no wonder, that Reja plays without him today, when we need a goal! Even Kozak and the others should show something! Against Vaslui that was quite ridiculous!
Give also Cavanda some time, if the game is safe.. we need to let him improve or we can sell him anyway.. But he is young, little times and spaces to develop in such games should consequently being used for Kozak and Diakite and Cavanda. When they play, they can improve and prove, what to be capable of or not and Reja knows better, what type of backup he really has..
Cisse should take the spearhead and I wish him some goals for his confidence, he and Rocchi needs them, as he had not that luck infront as Klose has. But thats what they need, to gain selfconfidence in ability to score. It is very improtant, cause we rely too much on Klose in those days.. and days gonna change..

PROBABLE FORMATION LAZIO-ZURICH

LAZIO (4-2-3-1): Marchetti/ Zauri, Dias, Radu, Lulic/ Cana, Ledesma/ Gonzalez, Hernanes Sculli/ Cisse.

Bench. Bizzari, Biava, Konko, Diakité, Matuzalem, Rocchi, Kozak

Zauri again.... surly Diakite or Konko even Garrido would be better options. however it will be fun to see Radu back in Center, and Lulic playing up the left flank. Hernanes, Gonzalez and Sculli Feeding Cisse could be and interesting look. even with Gonzalez going down in the Derby and not playing his best... well yet. should be a good game for Cisse either way

Where did you get these expected line-up??   Really? Your expectation or proper Information/source?
Would be interesting to see Radu in CB, I agree!
BUT ZAURIIII????!!! Wasnt he already executed after the last worse of his everytime bad performances?? What the FUCK!!! Thats what I mean! You can surely give a Cavanda a go ahead instead of that old sucker, from who we get nothing out of it, what Cavanda couldnt do! Fuck that!
The rest seems good to me though,   but I couldnt hide my temper when reading Zauri anywhere again!

Not sure, its the same leg, but they said a "new lesion" but I dont know if its the same muscle, or just near it.

He is hoping to be back for the game against Napoli.

It shows to me, that Mauri is somehow overdue to the squad as being THE player to need.. He will be benched often this season because of that injury now and propable loss in form.. Next season only as a backup like Rocchi or even sell him for a good price to HSV Hamburg like Rozenhal!  Sorry, but we need improvement and depth in that area (wing attackers) as we lack in that department, not only quality, but also players who are at home there.. Lulic is right there! But who else? That is why I cant understand the loan of Foggia! What a miss! he would be a great backup on the wings as we have such a strong Central Midfield and Attack..

I agree, Cisse needs to score! Hopefully is does not take his mind too much on that and having a negative influence on his team play! I rather see him assist 3 than score 1 goal! As it means 3 goals to his mind and that counts!

So, is the Info about Zauri back in line up certain? for sure? where is the Info from? Source?
