We played well without Ledesma... or I should say... better than with Ledesma!!
I watched the whole game and it is like watching 22 players playing against the referee. The referee basically decided the rhythm of the game. Frustrating to watch.
We need to learn to lurk out the opponent's defense before unleashing Zarate... he needs more space and we can't have him face 3-4 defenders at the same time.
Carrizo is great (except he made a mistake that led to the second goal... but he made several critical saves as wel)
without Ledesma we played well, i am agree with u, but is that indicate that we don't need him? i think ledesma is an average player.. he is not too good. can we find a next playmaker like veron?

Overall LAZIO played well (the player and the coach) Meghni played well for the first half, but a little bit disappeared in the second half. Pandev often fell in the first half, Rossi make the right decision to bring in Rochhi, Lichsteiner is the next Massimo Oddo Cribari did his job well too. Kolarov and Dabo had a great shot Carizzo did well too, but i am sure u can do more. actually we need fortune in that game

I agree. I think luck just wasn't on our side. Once again we had more and the better of chances in the game much like last weeks game but didn't pick up the result. We always seem to look like the better team on the pitch.

Rossi Satisfied With Late Draw Lazio coach Delio Rossi is not disappointed at his side's performance against Genoa and feels both teams could have snatched a victory.
The Biancocelesti salvaged a point ten minutes from time, courtesy of an epic blunder from Grifoni 'keeper Rubinho who let an innocuous Ousmane Dabo shot from distance slip through his fingers into the back of the net, after Argentine striker Diego Milito had put the Genoani in front.
But El Principe could have bagged a hat-trick at the Stadio Olimpico, as he saw an effort wrongly disallowed for offside in the first half and he also blasted a spot-kick wide in the second period.
"It was a tie between two strong sides and either one of them could have claimed the full points," Rossi declared after the encounter.
"Genoa had an excellent performance with Milito on his own in attack and the others all clammed up at the back.
"We tried to risk a little bit more, but it was necessary considering the way things were going."
Tommaso Rocchi replaced Goran Pandev after half-time, but there have been rumours he reacted angrily at the coach's decision not to field him from the start.
"It is only normal that some players are unhappy, but it's up to the coach to make this kind of decisions," stressed the former Foggia boss.
"Sometimes I will plump for the attacking trident, but the important thing is to find the right balance and we are still in a 'work in progress' situation at the moment."
Rossi satisfied with 1 point. Do you guy satisfied with a draw in this game??

24/11/2008 19:13 Lotito Denies Rocchi-Rossi Feud Lazio might be having a good season, but Tommaso Rocchi is showing signs of discontent after being left out of the first eleven on Sunday against Genoa. Lazio president Claudio Lotito tried to rubbish reports that captain Tommaso Rocchi was furious with coach Delio Rossi for leaving him on the bench during the first-half of yesterday's league game against Genoa.
For Lotito this story is totally untrue and he is certain that it was all interpreted wrongly by the Italian media.
"As far as I know, he didn't take a position against Delio Rossi because I wouldn't have allowed that," explained the Lazio supremo.
"The choices must be taken by the coach and he has all of our trust. Obviously, each choice is made according to the game that will be played.
"It's clear that the players who feel that they are important, do not agree with the choices. The fact is that they must accept them and give their best on the pitch.
"This type of mentality is one of the aspects that the players must be aware of. They must take forward the interest of the group, not just their own.
"I'm convinced that Rocchi did not create any controversy, but that someone interpreted [his behaviour] in a certain way."
Rocchi ended up playing in the second-half as the Biancocelesti tried to equalize after going behind due to a Milito goal.

/11/2008 10:27 Rocchi Unhappy Being Second Choice At Lazio Tommaso Rocchi has revealed his disappointment after he was left out from the starting XI for the 1-1 draw against Genoa on Sunday... Tommasso Rocchi has been a key man for Lazio in recent seasons, but the arrival of the impressive Mauro Zarate has limited his chances this season, much to his frustration.
Coach Delio Rossi left him on the bench against Genoa, but he did come on later during the match and played well.
Rocchi doesn't understand why he is being snubbed by his coach and, although he is accepting a substitute's role, he is not too happy about it.
"Of course I am disappointed," Rocchi told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
"I accept and I respect the coach's choices but sometimes I don't accept this and it was the same this weekend.
"I cannot be happy and pretend everything is okay as I am not that type of person."
Rocchi has been working hard in training in an attempt to earn a regular starting role but his coach doesn't seem to have taken notice.
The Italian hit-man is being kept out by the in-form Mauro Zarate and Goran Pandev.
A number of reports have suggested the player may even consider leaving if he doesn't regain his regular starting place.

This is exactly what we need - a nice feud between Rocchi and Rossi. I generally, don't side with players, but I'm starting to think that Rossi simply doesn't have a good relationship with players or has personality issues. I don't know, but really I'm starting to wonder.

Wow...Pandev holding out on contract negotiations, Rocchi unhappy...I seriously think we might have to make a serious decision regarding Rossi soon, no one seems to be happy. These are exactly the kind of problems we do not need especially at a time like this when we have not won in two weeks...Rossi desperately needs to get this team on track...quickly.

24/11/2008 23:34 Rocchi Keen To Mend Relationship With Coach Rossi The Lazio captain is hoping to strengthen his relationship with Coach Delio Rossi, after their recent falling out. Tommaso Rocchi was left out of the Lazio starting line-up at the weekend, and was reportedly furious with his coach’s decision as a result.
Delio Rossi has opted to play the in-form Mauro Zarate and Goran Pandev ahead of the Lazio captain for the large part of the campaign, which has consequently minimized Rocchi’s time on the pitch this term, as opposed to previous seasons.
Following the Genoa clash, the Lazio number 18 made it clear that, “I cannot be happy and pretend everything is okay, as I am not that type of person.”
Since then however, he has come out and publically stated that, “I did not want to create all of this commotion. This is just a minor issue that we as a club need to deal with and resolve.
“I did not say anything controversial, outside of course of what I already knew – referring to the fact that he was relegated to the bench in favour of Zarate and Pandev.
“It’s a normal thing that happens at all football clubs. And so with [Delio] Rossi, I hope to clarify things as soon as possible.”
The Biancocelesti fans will be hoping that their captain and coach can mend their relationship in the near future, as the club has failed to win in their past two outings, and face Atalanta in Bergamo next weekend.

The signs are coming and lolitto said the coach is right in cases like this........he may prefer to get someone below rocchi's status that will not complain much. Rossi may win this battle but not the war.
25/11/2008 10:36 Lazio And Fiorentina Prepare Rocchi-Pazzini Swap Deal The hitmen could move in opposite directions next January, after growing frustrated at their lack of first team opportunities. Tommaso Rocchi apparently fell out with boss Delio Rossi last weekend, as he was overlooked for the home match against Genoa and only made a substitute appearance in the second half.
The emergence of Argentine sensation Mauro Zarate this term has seen the Italian international slide down the pecking order at Lazio and he could look for a way out during the upcoming transfer window.
“I have to accept the trainer’s choices, even though I don’t agree with them from time to time,” the 31-year-old declared yesterday.
Giampaolo Pazzini is living a similar situation in Tuscany: he has not stirred up any controversies so far, but he is clearly unhappy at being the third or fourth choice striker at Fiorentina.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs are planning a sensational temporary exchange deal that would see Pazzo join the Laziali in January and the former Empoli man moving the opposite way to further bolster Cesare Prandelli’s front line.

Well about that one. This is our attacking line Zarate Pandev Rocchi and if we don't play the tridente then is logical that someone is going to start from the bench. I disprove the way Rocchi reacted ( we talking about the attitude and not if Rossi is right or wrong). See what Wenger did to Gallas. ROcchi is our captain so he presents role model to others and he must respect couch decisions whatever they like. It is shameful that he react that way especially when later he missed hole empty goal. Just zip it and play right.

Tare: Rocchi Has To Lead Lazio By Example The ‘Rocchi affair’ at Formello gains momentum and Aquile director Tare has insisted that the Lazio captain’s behaviour was unacceptable... Lazio captain Tommaso Rocchi reacted angrily to the news that he had been omitted from the starting XI for the home match with Genoa at the weekend.
He made a substitute appearance in the second half, but voiced his disappointment at Delio Rossi’s decision after the encounter, sparking speculation that he could head for the exit door in January.
“We will certainly discuss these things today,” Igli Tare told Radio Radio this morning.
“He has always maintained an exemplary attitude so far, but players have to understand that some decisions are made only to benefit the team as a whole.
“Everyone has to work for the good of the group and must respect the trainer’s choices.”
The 31-year-old Rocchi was beset by injury problems at the beginning of the campaign and is now struggling to reclaim his place in the line-up following Mauro Zarate’s emergence.
“He is our skipper and has to lead by example, as his responsibilities are much bigger,” Albanian director Tare continued, “Lazio are one of the most important teams in Italy and it’s just normal that key men can be benched.”

When u start hearing stuffs like this about a player, then u know his end is near. And to be frank, they may think it is a risk worth taking, rocchi is 31years and dont have many years to play especially not that he has started getting injuries. The other guy i hear is 24years and upcoming. He will not complain like the captain and fan favourite of any club will when he does not play.

It would hurt alot to see him go...but if it has to happen and the right deal comes up it should be done. Pazzini would be a good swap I think, another young guy that would give us an abundance of youthful attacking players. If this works out and Pandev demands ridiculous amounts of money, we sell him for big cash and move ahead with Zarate and Pazzini....??
