So, another round passes and the pressure mounts on us to deliver three points against another side struggling in the league before we play Roma, Genoa and then Inter in a pivotal part of the season. The game against Napoli provided us with the chance to open up further ground on the sides below us and close up on teams above, but a limp, turgid and lifeless second half against a superior side put paid to that. Some reports said it was down to the heat, but as far as I could see that didnt stop Napoli putting pressure upon us.
Anyhow, we have picked up 8 points in four games and thats considerably more that I would have expected a few weeks ago and the game with Bologna represents a good time to break away from Atalanta as they themselves face a difficult fixture list in the coming weeks, having to take on Roma, Fiorentina and then Inter Milan away. Bologna however will not 'roll over' easily even if they are winless in their last five games and have lost four straight especially when you consider that three of those defeats came against Palermo, Roma and Inter, all top four sides at the moment. Players to watch out for will be Marco Di Vaio, 9 goals this season, and a rejuvenated Adailton who sits on 10 goals in 25 games, an excellent output. They can score goals, but they are poor defensively as conceding 47 this season would suggest.
All this considered it boils down to a very simple sentance. Win, and we climb up the table and drag others into the mess, loose and its a fight off bewteen us and Atalanta over the final weeks.
Forza Lazio

This is probably one of few remaining games that we actually have a good chance with and if we throw it away it could put us in deep danger, but then again we've pretty much spend the whole season in relegation zone.
Bologna CAN score. They have two strikers on the top scorers list. Our only striker on the top scorers list scored most of his goals while playing for Genoa.
Every game needs to be treated like a derby.

I will tell later in the week my opinion about the match (I told it already in the chat though). But I just wanted to say: what the fuck r u talking about? u r speechless now when our club is 4 games unbeaten and u think only a miracle can save us the point versus Bologna? Pretty strange opinion, pretty strange...

^ *chuckles* nicely done I’m afraid it looks like I’m going to miss the game - (Lazio365... texties? ) but I agree with all the non-yellow points made already - every game is definitely a cup final now - they do have a couple of people that can hurt us as Lazio365 said - but the task is not an impossible one - don’t give any cheap free-kicks away, and don’t give Di Vaio lots of free space. This really should be our 4th away win all season, but in every single match thread it seems I have said something along the lines of ‘really should be’ and I end up with egg on my face. Win!

because after this match (vs bologna) ,the only match we may get 3 point is vs livorno,,and udinese,,we may have 4 games unbeaten run,but look how we play?..thats why lazio now sit on 17th place..bologna are motivated to defeated us after 0-3 defeat to inter, and they have advantage playing at their home,i predict this match ended on draw result.

except the 2nd half vs Napoli our last 3 games has been pretty good. And btw u don't think we can beat fucking as merda? U should be ashamed of yourself! And Lazio is on 17th place because balla stayed for too long with us, not because we didn't play good in the recent games. Any normal president would have sacked him long before Lotito did it. But we have already spoken long and hard over this issue.

I’m afraid it looks like I’m going to miss the game - (Lazio365... texties? ) Sure. Just weighing in once more before the big kick off on this topic, I can think of worse places to go in search of three points than Bologna regarding teams from the bottom half simply because they can be scored upon. Infact, they currently have the fourth worse 'home' defence in the league. Aside from out lack of creative quality against Napoli what worries me most is the pressure aspect that must be mounting now in the formello. Most of these players won't have seen a relegation battle before, lets hope they don't crumble under the pressure as lets not forget that battles of this sort are common for clubs like Bologna, Atalanta, Catania etc.

Every team other than maybe Juve and deadbeats in the midpack with noting left to accomplish are going to be playing more motivated than ever towards seasons end. Bologna from relegation and As merda for the title have alot to gain. Udinese and Livorno may be a win away from saving themselves by the time we play them so those games are no easy victories either. It will go down to the wire but at least we are sort of getting back on track, a few months ago even weeks a game vs Napoli would have been a loss for sure. For Bologna just play motivated players, even mauri for now we can't afford players like zarate wasting space and time. Other than that get a couple of goals, shut down Di Vaio and just play for 90 minutes. Its not rocket science its Bologna!!

I agree, we cannot afford Zarate wasting other players' opportunities to win the game for us. He regressed back to his old habits against Napoli and I hope it did not go unnoticed by Reja. Rocchi and Floccari should be allowed to play for the entire duration of the game or subbed in the last 15 minutes. Talking about motivated players, Kolarov has been looking like he is just going through the motions in the last few games unlike the rest of the squad. We do not have much choices, though. I have given up hope of Hitzlsperger regaining his form before the end of the season. Lichtsteiner is unfortunately suspended from this game which means Reja will have to try someone like Scaloni in his place, use Brocchi on the wing and field Firmani, or change the formation altogether. I do not know which choice I would prefer to be honest.

Hmmm... Who would be the best replacement for Lichti? Firmani, Hitz, Diakite or even Baronio? Scaloni seems to be injured I'd put Brocchi on the wing and try Hitzlsperger in the middle.
