Zarate asks for space

Lazio striker Mauro Zarate wants more space in the first team, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The 23-year-old Argentine didn't start Lazio's match against Napoli on Saturday as Edy Reja put his trust in Sergio Floccari and Julio Cruz.
Lazio's fans are keen to see him in action away to Bologna on Sunday, as he scored a brace in the same fixture last season.
Zarate is apparently anxious to prove himself ahead of the Rome derby later this month.
He has been a disappointment this season, scoring just three goals in Serie A since making his move from Al-Saad permanent in the summer.
There were great hopes for Zarate after his efforts in 2008-09.
He found the net 13 times in the League last year, prompting Lazio to spend €18m on his signature.

What?
Firstly - can that newspaper read the minds of Lazio fans? Wow, good for them.
Secondly - Are some Lazio fans really that damn thick? Yes, some must be to cheer for Firmani... but really that takes the biscuit. Wanting players to play because they did well in a corresponding fixture from last season... that is one of the top 3 most ludicrous things I have ever heard this season!

Wrong. I hate Zarate because he hasen't scored enough goals for a player that is worth £22 million. 3 goals infact, the same amount of league goals as Rocchi, who as you say is past it.... and get this, even Cruz has scored more then Zarate! Cruz has 4. That's why I hate Zarate. We used practically all of our summer budget on a player who has scored less goals then Julio Cruz. Wonderful!
Btw, your also wrong about something else - I've seen numerous people, including Jofo, myself, Latius and others, who have said Rocchi has to go if we get a good offer for him. You said in a post elsewhere that you don't put a player above the team. Nonsense, you ain't really a Lazio fan, rather, your a Zarate fan, hence still all this bitterness and the fact you have nothing to say on this forum whenever Zarate does shit in a game!

I will agree when zarate has shit in a game. I'll agree with you on the part that he aint playing like hes worth 22m. And just cause I have defended zarate, doesn't mean I put him before the team. PS. zarate has more goals in all competitions than any player on our team. Anyway, that doesn't matter. Goals arn't everything. Cruz has 4 goals but is a piece of shit. He hasn't contributed anything but that. Im fine with zarate being sold, ive said that a million times, as long as its not under the value we paid. If he has another season like this, then fine, get rid of him for whatever. The point is its not his fault we are in this fucking situation. Its lotito's for making horrible additions to the squad.

I must attack u, too. Who do u think will give for Mauro 20m??? If I had 20 mio I wouldn't even think about bringing Zarate in my team. I don't think anyone would give more than 10 m for him. Why? Because as everybody before me said: he has 3 goals all season in Seria A and hardly passes the ball. All season he is trying to repeat the goal vs merda from last year (as Theo said) and never was even close to that. "for the likes of rocchi": what do u mean by that. i would be fine if zarate didn't score goals but set up strikers Rocchi/Floccari with 3-4 good chances per game each. But he doesn't do that does he. Not a striker anyway and never will be. Alot of those offers could and likely are BS even from the english teams.
