At this point, we mustn't be afraid of anyone. Facing Parma at Tardini will certainly not be easy, but Lazio must start to approach games with the confidence of a team that can beat anyone. Parma have struggled to find a consistent form this year, but have proven to be a team that is difficult to beat at times given their many ties and have managed a notable victory against Sampdoria.

Reja will have everyone available to him heading into Parma, including the reborn  Maurito and there should be little in the way of noveltuies in the formation. The issue for Lazio at this point is execution. The team has proven it can work well, particularly on the road.

It appears Radu might be out for this match. So it's Cavanda or Garrido. I lean towards Cavanda.

Parma have really struggled to put the ball in the net this season, and given how we've been solid at the back there's no reason to believe why they won't continue to struggle here. Yes, they recently beat a toothless Sampdoria, themselves without a goal since week 9, and a struggling Bari. Good wins, and they do have quality, but this is one we should aim to win, and at least not loose given how we have played to date.

I was thinking the same thing as Lazio365. Parma have scored only 8 goals. Our defense should not have any problems to fend them off. I am fairly confident about winning this one.

Cavanda is fine with me but I hope Garrido gets a chance as a starter if Radu is injured. I have been saying I have a gut feeling he will turn out good for us. That is why.

I hope for a speedy recovery for Radu. The next couple games aren't against top teams but as we learned in the past against Cesena no team should be taken too lightly. These are good games to make MINOR changes to the lineup. I think we were all impressed with Cavanda especially against milan. Hopefully Radu is back when we face inter and juve in december.

Zarate had one good game against Napoli, I hope this was a rebirth for him and just not a one-off.

Came across an interesting stat: away from home Parma have been outscored 8-4, but at home they have scored 4 and given up two in 6 games for a record of 2W 3T and 1L. In other words they'll play everyone including the coach and management behind the ball. It probably won't be pretty to watch.

I'm very confident with this one. We have been first, we have fallen. We learnt our lesson and we are mature enough to do this. Parma beat Bari very luckily, barely made any clear chance, Bari missed a penalty....On other hand we outplayed Napoli.

Garrido seems to took Radu's position(LSN). I'm not very happy with that one, still wondering why we sell Zauri right away. Our LB position truly suck ass.

How can you assume that. We haven't even seen Garrido play yet.

I think it's good if Garrido gets this game to show himself. Radu hasn't been special in the left back position so I fancy seeing a natural left back for once.

It appears Radu might be out for this match. So it's Cavanda or Garrido. I lean towards Cavanda.

According to Lazialita, he was already playing hurt on Sunday, and a challenge from Sosa aggravated his injury.  So far its been confirmed that he's out of Romania's friendly against Italy on Wednesday along with Parma for sure as well on Sunday.  He is also in doubt for the match on the 28th against Catania.

The extent of the injury is as follows:  Yesterday afternoon he carried out investigations at the Clinica "Mater Dei".  They later issued a medical bulletin: "The MRI showed inflammation of the joint capsule with the suffering of the inner meniscus. Da domani (oggi ndr) inizierà le cure del caso e la situazione verrà monitorata nel corso dei prossimi giorni» . From tomorrow, will start the appropriate treatment and the situation will be monitored over the next few days. " L'infiammazione gli provoca dolore, è interessato anche il menisco interno, contro il Napoli ha stretto i denti, non si tratta di un infortunio di poco conto.  The inflammation causes the pain, and can cause pain as well in the inner meniscus, versus Napoli has clenched teeth, it is not a minor injury. Dovrà rimanere a riposo per tutta la settimana, dovrà seguire un protocollo fisioterapico. Will remain at rest throughout the week, you must follow a protocol physiotherapy. Ad oggi è esclusa la necessità di intervenire chirurgicamente. To date, it excludes the need for surgery.

Hope to have him back ASAP, one of our most consistent players.  Also most likely to get booked too  , he's actually one yellow away from a ban already.  Also in trouble are Lichsteiner, and Dias.

Since it is more likely not to have Radu back for the Parma game I think it's a chance for Garrido/Cavanda to prove themselves as regulars, so that we can have Radu back as a CB. I have the same gut feeling as 61514 for Garrido.

I agree with Jofo, why we off loaded Zauri is beyond me.

It is certainly time to see what Garrido can do. unless we took him simply as a gift to ManC to facilitate the Kolarov deal, which Im sure is half true.

Parma is certainly no Power house, but they have shown a lot of heart this season. they have keep some good teams off the score sheet, or limited them. though they are not a huge scoring threat. Any team that has Crespo and the "Atomic Ant" can not be taken lightly. on the other hand Giovinco may not play, and Crespo can not play the full 90 anymore. so to concede will be unexceptionable, specially the way our defense has been playing. Im looking for 6 points in the next 2 games, and we will need it with Inter and Juve coming up after this relatively easier patch.

^^ I have always said he same thing. In theory Garrido should be better, so perhaps it might have had something to do with Garrido and Radu making him redundant and Garrido's injury problems making it more of a necessity. Nevertheless, I see no reason why a consistent, if unspectacular, player like Zauri couldn't have been worked in to the rotation.

I'm more worried about Boijinov that Crespo on current form. He took his goal well against Samp and scored a blinder against us last season.

Additionally, now is a good time to see what Garrido can offer to the side so I say give him the start, otherwise its a waste of time him being here.

Crespo is always a champion but now is old.
I have Bojinov in my fantacalcio team, he scored only 2 goals this season and his rated 5 - 5.5 every match.

Giovinco is a good player and maybe will not play this sunday!!
