This is the team we have until January - there's not point complaining any more. All we can do is support the colours and hope we save ourselves.

Good Point for the time being we can;t change any players until then but I fear with every passing game of failure we may be stuck with Balla to seasons end.  Serie B should not be an option into the second half of the season

Totti lights derby fire
Thursday 3 December, 2009
The sparks are already beginning to fly ahead of this weekend's Rome derby with Francesco Totti questioning the quality of Lazio striker Mauro Zarate.

The 22-year-old Argentinian joined Lazio in a £18m transfer from Al-Saad in the summer after a very successful loan spell last season in which he scored 13 goals.

However, Zarate has struggled to rediscover his best form in the current campaign, scoring just twice as Lazio continue their disastrous run of games without a win since the second week of the season.

Asked if he considers Zarate to be one of Serie A's best strikers, Totti replied: “For me there are other champions.

“He's a good player, but he certainly isn't a champion. He still has to grow,” Totti concluded.

This weekend's derby promises to be a special one for Totti on so many levels.

The 33-year-old can reach former Lazio striker Beppe Signori's record of 188 goals in Serie A if he scores against his bitter rivals.

I agree. The only way we'll ever see a turnaround is in January. I'm not optimistic at all and expect this pattern to continue. I just hope that the players we hopefully get will catapult this team to start winning the same amount of games we haven't .. but i'm sure that's highly unlikely.

As for the article on totti lighting derby fire. I really don't find anything wrong or offensive with what he said. His comment seems to be an observation even most of us would agree with.

after the stunt zarate pulled the other day his comments are not far off.  If the team can't wake up for european elimination or relegation battle fights then the derby is the final 3 strikes your out for this team bouncing back this season.  If this squad plays the derby like the way they have the last few matches I still hope the ultras abandon the stadium at the half or pelt the field, we just cannot continue to keep going like this.  I don;t want to abandon the team but look at these methods of trying to help them get back to good health from the trio of idiots in control.   There is only a short period of time left to force Lotito to do something in the market to improve this team and with pandev/ledesma keeping him busy the excuses are probably already being written to why nothing was done.

Totti is a complete jackass - and I love it when he starts spouting off - it usually works out in our favour.

But let me get this straight, Totti is in a position to judge who is a champion and who is not (and presumably he considers himself one). This is the guy that:

- spit in Poulson's face while wearing his national colours
- took a red card for diving in Japan
- is widely known to be rather slow-witted
- routinely throws a temper tantrum on the field when things don't go well. (i.e. see his punch on Manninger, derby 2006 etc. etc. etc.)

The guy has had one good tournament - Euro 2000. In 2006, he scored a pk goal against Australia (I'm sure no one else on the field could have scored that one!) and that's about it.

Totti threw a tantrum in 2006 in the derby according to my friend Danny, occured when Zauri tripped him b/c he got his underwear all dirty.

Let's reminisce about that once lol:
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PgXGWo1ONw" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PgXGWo1ONw</a>

Furthermore, I've also noticed that Baptista hasn't featured this season much for the colours of vomit.  Don't you think Totti had a hand in this?  The word on the street is Baptista is nicknamed "the beast" because he has a beast of a cock thus making Tottina a little jealous and insecure.  Stay tuned for this years North Curve Derby lead-up.  Since we had nothing to be proud of ourselves I've taken upon myself to ask Riomaneesters in North America how they feel about Totti.  From their daily fantasizing escapades to their curiosity with how well endowed Julio Baptista really is.  Stay tuned

I dislike totti .. but on an internatinal stage I can agree the guy did nothing special. Not sure if your referring to the red card he got against Korea .. but if you watch the footage it was undeserved. In Serie A, like him or hate him ..he's held the team and when he's missing they seem to fall apart. He's cocky like C. Ronaldo but he does have a history of success which unfortunately zarate has none. Nonetheless totti's a bitch and a poor sportsmen.

I actually didn't like the video

Too many good memories. Are we capable of playing amazing like in those derbies? NO! Di Canio being awesome and the way it ended? nothing but regret. Ledesma in his only decent season? I get angry that he hasen't reproduced that. Behrami? Cock sucker. I could go on and on!

I do however look forward to the inevitable happiness for a rare time this season if Lazio can somehow get a win out of this game...and the fun Canadian banter afterwards.

All this is true but the bold part. Totti had a huge factor in 2006 and his contribution went under everyone's nose. I can post a youtube video for proof but i'd rather not remind us of his capabilities. Anyways I would love to see Totti bow his head in shame again at the end of the game. The derby is unpredictable and I hope we can pull one off here. Let me remind you Roma's defense is not any better.

There was some talk about this already on page 2 in this thread. I guess there is not anyone who is not disappointed with Zarate's performance this season so only the most desperate Totti hater would argue. Or Ballardini. Hopefully Totti's remark will be fuel for the glowing embers and set Zarate afire.

totti is a arrogant and volatile bastard, maybe we can take advantage and upset totti(titts) durning this match, of which could give us advantage and win this very important points and match.

If Lazio lose, there is the possibility of Ballardini be fired? Lazio is very weak this year. Losing with Salzburg, draw with Bologna? Fuck.
