This weekend Lazio face Atalanta at the Olimpico. This team seems to have lost its edge and any talk now of making Champions league is laughable after last weeks thrashing against relegation zoned Siena. Theoretically we should beat Atalanta but after last weeks pitiful display who knows what to expect from a team that's dealing with many injuries and a lack of motivation on the field. Reja's tactics are in question now as results in the last few matches have been less than acceptable. This Lazio needs to wake up and continue to fight as our rivals seem to have done the opposite and found their edge and sit only 3 points below us and likely to pass us if this team doesn't come together and start getting results.

Good news is we might see the return of Marchetti in net, so hopefully we don't have to see 3rd choice Carizzo in net. Bad news is that Radu picked up an injury and could miss out.

hope marchetti is back, and matuz has to start,we have missed him,win on sunday and we are back on track for 3rd spot,as i think udinese will get beat .
i have so much confidence in edy and it looks like the players are right behind him as too the curva nord, still think we need 2 maybe 3 players to bolster the sqaud, podolski is a no no,as i beleive he could be heading for the premiership.
this is a grudge match v the che guevera supporting rats.the curva will be in full voice and confident of a good win.

VS
I don't care how ugly we win, the 3 points is a must with so many teams now points behind us for 4th.  If our injury crisis wasn't enough, we now have the pleasure of having Arbitro Banti to officiate this one.  Some of you may recall the Livorno based ref over-see last season's 4-3 thriller with Naples Soccer.  Where of course Banti missed the Brocchi goal, gave a dubious penalty shot and in the same instance gave a red card to Biava.  Fun!

Its not just Denis, this season Atalanta have shown much quality with players like Cigarini Schelotto, maybe our squad found some motivation and will be back on track to beat this team and retrieve our hope for something good this season, cuz if we fail even in this match then .....

All I have to say is, if we don't win this one we are in trouble.

Difficult games coming up after this one, 3 points are essential or we could find ourselves in freefall down the table.

This will be a tough game. Without that 6 point penalty deduction Atalanta would be 6th on the table, ahead of Napoli and Merda, only four points behind us. They also have a current capocannoniere in Denis, 12 goals in 17 games. As much as I would like to laugh at this red rat pack, I cannot.

Agreed, that is a must wín to avoid free fall for a week, but I cannot see it as an easy game! must win, but no guarantees...

Yes it is. I would rather 5-3-2 for this game with Gonzales(less shit) as a wing back. Btw, we really looked decent against Udine with that system. Definitely better than 4-4-2 with the players we have.

Hernanes is good to go so most probably it will be 4-3-1-2:

Marchetti; Zauri, Dias, Biava, Radu; Gonzalez, Ledesma, Lulic; Hernanes; Klose, Rocchi.

Reja does not have too many options for right back so if it has to be Zauri, so be it. Should make for an exciting game, eh?

Good to see Alfaro integrated into the squad. In spite of media telling otherwise I was sure we would not be seeing him in near future.

Zauri again.
Don't know what to expect tomorrow, can't see us keeping a clean sheet after the last 2 games, so Hernanes, Lulic and Klose have to be at their very best.  3-2 us i'll say, Klose (2) and Lulic. Mon.
