This weekend Lazio have to travel away again this weekend to Bergamo as we start the whole gauntlet over again and face one of the few teams we've managed to beat all season ... ATALANTA, another team at the bottom in relegation. Lazio still get a single credible victory against a decent side. Hopefully this will be another positive result in the new year. And while it may seem that this will be an easy match, Atalanta is one of the teams that has a game in hand and although they are below us in the table they actually managed to beat teams higher in the table such as parma and udinese and managed to tie both ac milan and inter. After Atalanta lost to palermo and are offically in relegation they will be desperate to get points as badly as we are and should not be taken lightly. Lazio need to play every game as if it were a final as rocchi said in an interview. Hopefully we can enter this game with new signings that can make a difference as floccari has and maybe our other regulars who've seemed to have lost their edge will find it soon as we try and earn back lost credibility since the start of the season. I hope we can see plenty of goals and taste more victory as we officially enter the 2nd round. FORZA LAZIO!

Alot was said in the first half of the season that the schedule was much easier early on, these games will be most important now as relegation looms and the weakest teams will become harder to play, hopefully including us. The next few games if we can get some positive results we can really pull away from the relegation bound teams. Balla really has to get it right, no more mauri for Rocchi substitutions. Fiorentina on the weekend had some injuries and Prandelli went full-attack to edge out a win. We need to do the same, going for draws against equal strength teams just puts our fate into the hands of the vs milan, napoli and cagliari games which we have a very poor record against. We need to go for the win 100%, if its a draw in the last few minutes put on another striker. Build some momentum before the Half Dead Juve game where we may actually beat a big club?? Catania did 2-0 best chance as any. FORZA LAZIO 3 POINTS ONLY KAMIKAZE

We should be looking to win this. We cannot keep just getting 1 point off the teams around us if we want to finish in the top 10. We need to get all 3.
And what a chance to do it. Sure Atalanta have a new manager but he joins a team with bugger all form and IMO a team that aint like the Atalanta of Del Neri's days. Doni has carried the team for many years but I think time as finally caught up with him.
They do have some dangerous players such as Tiribocchi, Aquafresca and most notably, Javier Chevanton on loan from Sevilla. All are strikers as you can gather... their midfield like us is pretty piss poor except we have someone like Kolarov who is our only midfielder creator really. So in practicality, it'll be Doni vs Kolarov to see who can serve something up for the strikers.
But really I just said that to try and keep a realistic grip on things because I'll be disappointed if we don't come away with 3 points from Bergamo for a change.

Kolarov's suspended from what ive read.
If we want to move up the table then three points have to be taken from games like these. Atalanta are in real trouble I think, Guarante looks set to leave somewhen so what do they have in the middle? No Cigarini and no Floccari of course for them anymore.
What with Kolarov being out, moving Rocchi up with Floccari and playing Zarate behind would not be a bad idea imo, else creatively we will likely struggle.

We should win this game. Atalanta are still in their desperate state wherare as Lazio are moving out of theirs. we should take away the posatives from the last 3 games (although there weren't many from the Udinese game) and build on them.
i am confident and i predict a 0-1 victory, if Floccari is on form then perhaps 0-2

We are improving so clearly a loss would be a terrible disappointment against a weaker side. Not to mention a setback in our quest to stay clear of the relegation zone. I think on a good day we could win by even three goals. If things click like they did on the second half against Palermo. Kolarov missing is a bit of a setback but we can always rely on... Oh, sorry, we cannot. Let us see what the lineup is.
Ballardini should utilize the tridente again or, as championed by Lazio365 and Theo, try with Rocchi and Floccari upfront and Zarate as a trequartista. I do not want to see Mauri on the pitch for the rest of the season. Against Palermo, he had a chance in the box two times in the second half and only made me laugh and shake my head in frustration. I am not saying he missed two great chances to score per se but there was just something very, very wrong with his way of playing. As if I did not have enough worries with Roberto "I am the key" Baronio.

Last season they beat us 2-0 and Bergamo is one of the places where Lazio struggle to win. Atalanta recent results are on our side (L – L – D – L – L) but somehow every club with bad run manages to make its upheaval on us. Lazio is not a fucking spring-board. PROBABILE FORMAZIONE (3-4-3): Muslera, Siviglia, Stendardo, Radu; Lichtsteiner, Firmani, Baronio, Del Nero; Rocchi, Floccari, Zàrate Pretty standard formation since our first victory this year. Just look at the mid, someone please call 911 .

I don't like Diakite by any means. Infact I hate him. But I don't think Siviglia should play for us ever again.
At least there's no Mauri. We'll see how no Kolarov affects our attacking thrust. I think it will severely. I think he and Floccari are our only creators this season!

To be honest I don't have pretty good feeling about this match. Let's hope I'm wrong. We must take every match against this sort of opponents till the end of the season so we can reach respectable position.
And come on Super Sergio the next one for us!

Agreed. The fact Kolarov is missing really throws a spanner in the works for me. He is 50% of our creative threat, gone from this match! We could still win but I'm less confident about it when I would be if Alex was playing. If Zarate plays as treq then it will be up to him to create more things... but I'm not holding my breath on that, his first contributions on the assist count practically all season in the cup game hasn't altered my opinion on his lacklustre behaviour.

Zarate to create more things? To whom? To himself??? If Zarate passes the ball more than 5 times this match, I would be speachless :D
