There is no one to replace Ballardini, a coach can only coach one Serie A team a season so that rules out most potential candidates. I don't know if the rule applies to Serie B as well but getting a Serie B coach is not a solution. Simeone already has a job so firing Balla just for the sake of it won't help. We mind end up with someone worse and not see any improvement.

Speak to anyone in Rome about Trefoloni - he's not the reason we're losing, but i despise him for many, many reasons and he does to this all the time. I guess you have no problem with people blaming Lotito when Lichsteiner, Stendardo and others on the field play like crap?

Forgot about Reja, but wasn't he in the same position with Napoli when he got fired? Balla should get this season to get it right, get his own players in and be judged by next season.

I think too many have thought that the second half was some kind of reawakening.  Teams under us are regaining points we have gotten from the livorno win so back to square one.

Agreed, and I've been open about it. I have refused to get carried away with any points gained this year, or indeed with the Genoa win.

The fact remains, IMO, we haven't played well for a whole 90 minutes ALL season. Now we are Serie round 19.

Furthermore, I'm struggling to see which of our wins all season have truly been earnt. Livorno was earned in the second half, but the 1st was bad. Genoa we got outplayed by 10 men for a good half hour or even 45 minutes. Same with the Chievo win at the start of the campaign and we also got outplayed when we beat Atalanta at home. Palermo owned us for a good 50 minutes as well in the cup.

But hey, I guess I could easily blame the referee for this game. Why not? The REALITY is however is that, as someone correctly said, think it was Lazio365, this has been coming. Our midfield is so shit I'm surprised we haven't been hammered before this game.

@ Imper.

Justified criticism is ALWAYS at Lotito for the crap players, Balla for being a crap manager and of course the players like today. I don't remember you criticizing players, infact, you defend them whatever. Stendardo this, Stendardo that, he is our savour, Daje willy etc. You know full well he isn't some sort of Nesta but you would never admit it. Just like the Zarate thread, you don't criticize him either. We could do with his cannon today. Where is it? *insert your excuse here* you paint Zarate with a brush that says he can create something magic by himself, and time and time again this season he doesn't, including today.

The team has been out of order all season and most of last season, this is more than just players having a bad game which can't be the excuse used every week.  Atalanta have built up alot of pressure in the attacking zone becuase they walk though an invisible midfield.  There is no resistance and they end up with more chances and increase the risk of error on our defence, at the same time offensivley we have not put up much effort either.  WE NEED A MIDFIELD

Without question Lotito is to blame for this current squad he has assembled. The midfield especially is woeful. Where is the instant mercato action that should have happend to refuel our squad for these key matches, against direct rivals, as hard as that it to swallow?

Ballardini has had 19 weeks to get this right. What is he still doing here? Any, and I mean any, other club in the league would have axed him by now, infact months ago.

Btw Imper don't think I necessarily had to get so aggressive but I hope you get my point.

Guys, can we even consider ourselves favourites for the Chievo game now? Sure Juventus are shit but we couldn't do it against them. Chievo are in good form... mah! Look what we have sunk too.

If there is any perfect example of how piss poor management can fuck up a team look at Juve.  They have money, they have talent but they don't have a coach to put it together and is why they have skidded into losing 2-0 to catania, 3-0 to milan and now losing 1-0 to chievo.  Lotito above all has never shown any urgency to fix things when it is obvious as the blue sky that there are serious problems

We cannot see ourselves as favorites any game until we can consistently prove some competitivness.  I want to see what we can do against juve as a judgement since every team is running them over.

@ Theo, i didn't blame the ref, I simply stated, that on top of everything (i.e. our pathetic performance) Trefoloni has to be the one out there today - of all people. He has a long and horrible history with us. I'm lamenting that as a fan, I have to be subjected to him on top of being subjected to Lazio.

As for being critical, it really is so easy to just reduce everything to Lotito's fault isn't it? I stand by my original statement, we shouldn't need aignings to do better than this against Atalanta. Sorry, but the 11 players on the field plus  the coach are to blame here. As for Stendardo, he's had a good stretch of games, so has Lichsteiner - so now they've suddenly been inadequate forever. We have such a wonderful way of analysing this team around here it consists of the following:

- everyone of our players are trash bins except when they score, then they're great.
- every player who has a bad game, has always been crap.
- Lotito is responsible for everything, except if we happen to win something - then it was just luck.
- The only players worth signing are ones who are currently considered to be the best in the world, otherwise, they too are trash bins.

this team is poor, I've never hidden that, I think Stendardo played well up until this game, Zarate is a great player but he has much to develop, This team needs several good aquisitions . I've always said these things,  I didn't realize that the only acceptable analysis of the team was to take a flame thrower to everyone and everything every time  in every instance. I

I reckon Hiddink will be in charge by the time we get to play them. In which case we can kiss goodbye to getting anything from it. But your right, if Ferrara is still there, we shall see.

Btw, since my stream is shit and the game is over (inbetween downloading artwork for my ipod) I've drawn up the following information:

Teams in bold have changed their manager this season.

1.Inter
2.Milan
3.Juventus
4. Napoli
5.Merda

6.Fiorentina
7. Palermo
8.Cagliari
9. Parma
10. Bari
11. Genoa
12. Samp
13.Chievo
14. Livorno
15. Us
16. Udinese
17. Bologna
18. Catania
19. Atalanta
20. Siena

This has told me one thing. One, teams that have changed their manager have improved - look at the ones nearer the top but also nearer the bottom. Those positions are likely to change after this game... Catania are improving under Sinisa... Atalanta is clear for all to see.. Bologna are conquering Artemo Franchi which is a stunning performance... Siena whilst haven't got the results are playing much better. We're the only team in the bottom 7 not to change manager. Since when does that make sense?

@ Imper. I'll respond later

Though I feel that to a certain extent Ballardini was not set up to win much by Lotito, and the players he have generally played poorly, I think it's over for him. He simply has the stench of a loser and that's hard to get rid of - even if he had the roster of Barcelona i think he'd find ways to lose at this point.

In any event, a change is neede to give evryone a shake - it has to happen.
