VS Lazio travel to Bergamo this weekend in hopes to gain an awaited 3 points. Despite not playing poorly, Lazio have only collected 1 point in the last two weeks. Their position on the table is also thanks to the results in other games keeping them afloat. Had they won the last two games we'd be tied with Inter at the top. However, the team will be on their own as the away side's tifosi have been banned from travelling to the game this Sunday. Ledesma, Radu and the awaited Matuzalem are to be at the teams disposal. Hopefully we'll see a change in the midfield after Ledesma's rather dismal season with the rested Matuzalem. A win this weekend can restore hope in the fans before the gauntlet of teams to face as a true test to see how we measure up against Juventus and Inter.

25/11/2008 15:16 Lazio's Zarate Struggling To Shake Off Injury Argentinian wonderkid Mauro Zarate has Lazio fans worried as he suffers yet another muscular injury... Zarate has been struggling with a few niggling injuries since reaching the peninsula and joining Lazio at the beginning of the season, but despite his physical drawbacks, the striker has done extremely well and can claim a great deal of the credit for Lazio's current form and position in the league table.
The Argentinian has contributed seven goals in this campaign already and has worked tirelessly to set up others, allowing Lazio to reach fifth spot in Serie A with 23 points to their name.
The Biancocelesti get back to training this afternoon in preparation for this weekend's encounter with Atalanta, but the Argentinian starlet will not take part in the session with his team mates, as he is scheduled for physiotherapy for a problem in his left thigh that he picked up in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Genoa.
His participation in the Atalanta league game is in doubt, but reports suggest that he will be able to recover in time and will be present in the starting eleven that will take the pitch at the weekend.

I am beginning to be more comfortable with away games for us, but for worrying for me is the fact that we cant easily beat this lower teams on the table. We need zarate in every game, he can produce something anytime.

Again enough if enough, after these 2 weeks we are going down on the table and we need to grab these 3 points, no matter how. Last year Atalanta won by 2-1 but this year I think we have stronger sight and I think we are strong enough to beat Atalanta in Bergamo this week, then we wait Inter and we can take them down too, at least I hope so.

Bergamo is traditionally a tough ground for us, we will have to play well to win. there is optimism about Matu returning, i hope it's true because we need a shot in the ass here.

Def.!! Atalanta's Ultras and our Irrudicibili lets just say are as much as friends as we are with Roma's Boys. I guess in a way its good that our fans are banned from the game b/c violence is almost guarenteed in this fixture. check out Atalanta's leader of their ultras on the Real Football Factories. Quite the character. I'm sure we'll still see crowd trouble outside the stadium b/c i doubt this ban will keep people off the train to Bergamo. Just look @ Napoli's fans. Somehow they made their way into the Olimpico last month eventhough they are supposedly banned from away games for the rest of the year.

You are damn right, and that really hurts. Slowly the gap is opening and we must not let that especially with roma catching up.

Damn, but it is still a long season. whether we can stay consistent is another long and hard question.

You are right it is a long season and to be consistent in this league we must win all home games ( maybe we can lose milan, inter, which is normal). And for aways, we should win at least 11-12 games. Forza Lazio 00

Zarate Fit For Atalanta Game The Zarate Kid could be fit to play in this weekend's encounter with Atalanta...
The Argentinian starlet did not take part in yesterday's training session with his team mates, and was instead working with the Lazio physiotherapists regarding a problem in his left thigh that he picked up in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Genoa.
The Biancoceleste medical staff have confirmed that the injury suffered by the top scorer in Serie A is not serious.
It was previously thought that the former Birmingham City man may be forced to miss this weekend's encounter with the Nerazzurri, but Lazio fans can now be confident following the good news.
Biancocelesti coach Delio Rossi will now feel a weight lift off of his shoulders, knowing that his star player will make the trip to Atalanta's Stadio Azzurri D`Italia along with the rest of the squad
