This weekend Lazio face serie a newbies Brescia who are in relegation zone. This game should nothing short of a victory since we are overdue for 3 points and hopefully we can see this team regain it's composure. Last time Lazio met with Brescia we won 1-0. Hopefully this weekend not only can we win but also see some scoring ability from our attack which has been lacking. Reja needs to set an attacking strategy and this team needs to unite.

Radu will be missing from the lineup so we'll most likely see Scaloni step in who wasn't that bad last game.

FORZA RAGAZZI!

Good News is that floccari will be in the lineup this weekend, that is .. good news if he can discover his scoring ability which i guess can also apply to Zarate too. This team seems to be pretty motivated for this weekend based on most player comments and the fact that they've looked pretty dismal in recent matches. If we don't at least win the next two matches then you can kiss a europe spot goodbye and say hello to last years team again. We're desperate now and that has to make this team dangerous. But I am confident we should win both these games.

Del Nero, Floccari, and Capitano Tomassino worked out seperately from the group today.  I'm not so sure he'll be available for Sunday's match.  Maybe available for the bench.  Also there was a nice write up on Rocchi and the frustrating season he's been under along with his mysterious injury sustained the night before the Lecce match.  He is scheduled to return next week vs Bar.  Speriamo!!
Also it should be noted that in our last 6 away matches we have tallied a whopping 3 points in total.  :)

According to Lazialita:

We may only be depending on Zarate up front. This is great news now we'll surely score provided we can get zarate to take at least 40 shots on net.

Floccari - doubtful to play on Sunday's match.

Kozak - will be away with the Czech under 21 team ... good for you Libor

Sculli is currently overweight (su Sculli ancora un po' sovrappeso) .. this is the funniest shit i've read today. So during mercato not only did we buy genoa scraps .. but we decided on an old fat dude ? .. who the F**K are our scouts ?? and how did they end up deciding on this guy to help the squad ? someone tell this guy to hit the treadmill and put the porchetta sandwich down! .. then of course i could have read the sentence wrong .. in which case i'll end my digression with with SCULLI = BALLS!

I'll be happy to see il capitano return in place of the balls we picked up during mercato. I really hope we don't start seeing the pattern we saw from the two years prior to this season of course that was mostly under rossi and ballamerda.

. best rant i've seen in a while. I read before that he was using the same training utilities as Hernanes when Hernanes decided to improve his stamina with his personal trainer from Brazil. I guess that didn't work

ahahaha the return of sculli= balls I love it!

Good to see im not the only pessimist in the joint.

They have personal trainers in Brazil?  That's hilarious in itself.  The only time those people run are after they snatch the diamonds from the tourists in the shanty part of town.  Or run from the cops while drinking a beer alla Fatso Adriano

Sounds like hernanes will be sitting this one out after his expulsion from the france vs brazil game after he said he couldn't sleep.

Floccari played yesterday scoring two goals against the primavera in a 2-2 tie.

We might see both Matuzalem and Ledesma in front of the defense.

Hopefully Hernanes will play. It looks like it will be back to 4-2-3-1 in which case I also hope Floccari can play.

Other than that, we should give Brescia a beating.

I fear that this will be a close encounter, 1-0 or a 2-1, with a small chance of a dreadful 1-1.

correct me if Im wrong, but wasnt Hernanes' "spark" the only reason we won the last meeting. so with out him I am tentative to say the least.

any word on what the lineup will be?

Looks like Hernanes will play - Mauri probably not. Brocchi will probably be given a rest so Ledesma and Matu will start. In the D, Scaloni will start for the injured Radu.

Menghi is back and may be made available for tomorrow's game starting from the bench OMG!  I thought he died.

The latest training from formello looks more set on having Zarate out of the starting line-up and Gonzalez in.

The big problems lie in defence.  Only, Dias and Biava are 100% fit, Diakite is out, and Stendardo is battling the flu, so we are pretty much forced to make shit up should one of the starting two get a knock or even worse injured.  Scaloni takes his spot for Radu who's out injured, and Lichsteiner plays the usual right back.

Probable Formation:(4-2-3-1)  Muslera; Lichtsteiner, Biava, Dias, Scaloni; Ledesma, Matuzalem; Gonzalez, Hernanes, Sculli; Kozak.

A disp.: Berni, Garrido, Bresciano, Brocchi, Foggia, Zarate, Floccari

I hope the lineup stays like that for the game. Gonzalez is better than Zarate or Mauri at the moment and Sculli = balls, hence, a must.

I quite like the line up on the whole but hope Floccari leads the line personally.

okay enough with this sculli=balls.     Just because Sculli is not the player we all hoped for in the mercato doesn't means he's useless. I know you guys keep saying sculli=balls because deep down you guys know you are not giving Sculli a reasonable chance to prove his worth and just want to pick on someone. You guys wanted a saviour and Sculli happened to be the one critisized without a legit chance because he isnt scoring a goal per game like how you guys want. To call him useless means he has no attributes on the field and cannot make Lazio better. We really did throw him in the deep end starting him against AC Milan and we havn't had put him on for significant minutes.

Though I don't mean to stick up for Sculli, it is unfair to judge him because he's not someone who can stop a sinking ship. Let's give him a legit shot against Brescia and we can judge if he is 'balls' or not. Let's at least see if he can succeed against Brescia.

I agree, a nice assist against Fiorentina showed he has some value to the side. It was a poor mercato given that a good one could have pushed us on to untold levels, but theres nothing we can do about that now. In reality we have to ask ourselves who really equals balls over the last few years. Makinwa, and Ballardini would fall into this category.
