Kozak has been a very pleasant surprise I agree, he's exceeded expectation in general. I don't think it works with having just him up front on his own. Every so often he'll head a cross home but for me he's too isolated when played as a lone forward and doesn't have the movement and technique of Floccari on the ground. He needs a partner up their, we need two up top. Take yesterday for example, Floccari and Zarate came on but both were deployed far too deep, and wide, to have any real effect on the Cagliari defence.

Yes, Kozak can't offer anything apart from areal threat when isolated all alone upfront, but neither could Floccari. I think the whole problem comes from our mentality. Reja plays solid defence while waiting for that precious chance to materialize and that's all. We just can't keep creating chances and hold the pressure on the enemy until they break down. When we were chasing the result against Cagliari, the most we could offer was periodic runs upfront with no genuine threat, it was ugly to watch. The same scenes were against Lecce on homeground. Until Rocchi is injured the best option we have is Kozak with Floccari upfront. The youngster may have not the skills, but he is working hard and doing his best, which is > Zarate, to me at least. As we saw earlier in the season Floccari all alone uprfont is not working either, so I can't really blame him for  underperforming, he needs that partner and while Rocchi is injured I would like to see Kozak next to Floccari.
