how the fuck was this Foggia's fault?

Did you want to see Mauri picking his asshole for another 20 minutes? At least Foggia crossed in a dangerous cross or 2 and earned a free kick outside the box regardless how legit it was. That right there was more than Mauri ever did.

Read my post again. I simply said Foggia is shit. And he is. I'm not blaming him for the loss. Like I said, Foggia is a girl and has 0 strength. Giovinco would push him off the ball. Mauri is 100x better than Foggia, don't even compare the two. However, Mauri was shit all game and the sub for him was justified but it doesn't change the fact that our bench is shit. To play in Serie a you need to be able to have some strength and be able to hold up the ball and Foggia can't. He dives every time he is touched because he knows he's going to lose the ball anyway.

on a week that many of our competitors lost point with AC, juve, viola drawing; and Napoli losing. we really missed a chance to solidify our place at the top.

That's the real problem with today's result. We've lost our fail safe if you like, that cushon that would have given us room to breath if we lost to Inter against the other sides around us. Still, after what I saw from Inter today are not solid at the back and there's no way they will adopt Catania's approach at the Olimpico. In other words, there be more space for us on the pitch in that one, you would think.

Okay fine, and I don't diasgree with you. But I was laying out why our attack was so amateur and Foggia was not the reason why our attack was bad today. He wasn't what he was 2 years ago, thats for sure. Floccari upset me the most though. He knows he is relied on heavily and did not want to challenge for balls in the air and gave the catania defenders an easy day, only if it was coming straight to him would he get involved.

I didn't think Matu or Foggia played that bad, not that good mind you but... We waste too many chances PERIOD.

Catania played with 10 defenders. There are few teams that can brake such defense.

I don't saw any winning spirit into the game, thats the only thing that I can say about the players. This was tactical mess from Reja. All good players in Lazio were sent on the flanks where they were completely unusable. Mauri and Foggia were both sent on the right flank where they can do little. Lazio didn't had any play in the center of the field, nor pass nor any creativity.

Catania is past atm, we must learn from our mistakes and improve against Inter.

Disappointed with the result once again. We should have killed them off in the first half, we had enough opportunities to do so, but could not. The second half was frustrating but to be fair I do not think anyone can claim Catania did not deserve their point. Milan, Juve and Napoli getting only a point or none each is the positive side of this weekend but also makes this this loss that much more bitter. Onwards and upwards, I hope.

Dude, why are you always instigating fights on the forum?  Nobody played better than anyone today.(In fact: Foggia created more than Mauri did all game...Another classic Mauri no-show)

I saw sloppy selfish soccer on everyone's part.  Not to mention an entire side order of laziness. To be honest only Brocchi and Dias remained consistent today.  Things went against us and that was bound to happen every time you play Catania away from home.  Its tough to beat a team who doesn't care to win but to just avoid a loss.  Fatigue, Lazy-attitude, selfish dwelling on the ball all these things make up for it.

The league isn't won against the likes of Juve and Inter.  It's won by winning the games you are supposed to...like today.  Nobody expects us to take 6 points from the next 2, but we all expected 3 today.  In truth even if we were to make a minor miracle and take 6 points we'd still look back at todays game come the end of the season as say:  "This was the day we lost the league"    Frustrating being a fan, frustrating to know that we truly can't compete for 1st place on a daily basis knowing we are capable of performances like today.

haven't had a chance to post all day .. but have to say as dissapointing as our game was the rest of the results made up for it. We are still second place and other big teams have as much to complain about as we do. We definately need to regroup for the next match and try and find our way back on track again. This was a frustrating game to watch as catania would just flood their box with the entire team making it almost impossible to score. I think they were happy grabbing a point from us on an away game. I next two games should be a clear indicator of whether this team has what it takes to take on the rich clubs. We can tie juve at best usually and inter usually has our card. Hopefully we can get at least one victory from the next two matches for once.

?????? Instigating fights? I would hardly call that a fight. This is an Internet forum. People are supposed to have arguments, it makes it that much more exciting. So stop crying about it.

Relax guys .. chill out and have a beer!

I'm wondering what happened to the magic we were seeing from mauri in the first few matches. Foggia needs to go  .. i honestly don't think he's that bad .. but we need a different type of striker .. preferably one who also can score goals.

Mauri is reverting back to his old self but he was never going to keep his form up the way he was for the entire season. We need to grab a great striker in January and a good winger. Reja needs to start using Garrido and move Radu into Biava's position. Biava is a massive liability when the ball is in the air.

Agree, agree, agree and agree again.

aside from individual players performances. it again is very apparent that Lazio do not have the personnel to play a lone striker. every game we lose or draw, the formation is some stupid 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-2-1. why Reja cant realize that one up front is completely useless. either a top class players will need to be brought in or we will have to start playing to our strengths, not our weaknesses(ie playing one up front against teams playing 10 back ).

That sort of form is difficult to keep up. Hernanes has a bad patch recently but played well yesterday. Hopefully, Mauri reverts back to the sort of form we've come to expect this season soon enough. That being said, to try and penetrate a team that has no desire to move out of their own half for 99% of the game is not easy. It was difficult for Inter when teams like Catania did that to them at the San Siro last season, so it was always going to be difficult for us.

I agree, we do need another forward, preferably one that can put the ball in the net. The options off the bench have hardly been effective, and Floccari cannot carry this team alone in terms of goals.
