It has been reported that Ledesma could well be re-integrated into the first 11 for the match away to Parma on Valentines Day.
I really hope this happens. We are holding good player out of the group while Baronio, Dabo, Firmani are getting a lot of playing time. Lotito better rethink the situation.

I agree BlueRulezzz. I will believe it when I see him in the starting line up, but it has to happen for so many reasons. Firstly, whats the point in having a player of decent quality just sitting around when we could slip down a division. Secondly, playing him for the remainder of the season should do no harm to his valuation and then he can be sold on in the summer. Thirdly, it will relieve us of players that do more harm that good. Again, I will believe it only when I see him on the pitch playing for us.

Yeah seriously Ledesma just needs to be on the field so he can help us and possibly increase the demand for him come summer.  If we keep sinking lower and lower with the players we have while Ledesma sits on the bench its going to sting even more.

He should be on the field and I have always equated his quality to that of Mauri in previous seasons but he is at least above baronio.  This is 3 Points or we are in the Red for the first time this year.  I think like most games its just a matter if we can get a couple of goals.  For some reason I just can't see us losing this game it seems impossible to actually be in a relegation spot.  They have to have the will and want this win because even with the likes of lopez on catania mihjlovic is going to have that team mentally prepared and going for it all.  This game will hinge on Balla so nothing more to say till match day

PROBABLE FORMATION (4-3-1-2)

Muslera, Diakite, Biava, Radu, Kolarov; Firmani, Baronio, Hitzlsperger, Mauri; Floccari, Zarate.

This is not likely to change considering the physical issues and injuries of Lichti, Brocchi, Dabo, Foggia, Matuzalem, Del Nero, Meghni di Cartone etc.

Roberto "I do not score really but create chances for others" Baronio has an opportunity to partially redeem himself by playing the ball to Hitzlsperger when ever the chance appears. I would rather have Ledesma on the pitch now.

Floccari and Hitzlsperger are the players I expect to make a difference compared to the last two matches. Although in the case of latter, he has had a terrible season so far and it might take a bit of time to adjust to his new team... what with the heroes we have, you know.

Forza Lazio.

Hiya muppet.

As to the lineup... *sigh*

I thought the whole purpose of the Hammer was for him to take the place of either Firmani, Baronio or Mauri. And yet all three are still on the pitch. I feel a bit sick.

Because you are Mihajlovic's fan right? lol. Anyway, we will crash Catania in Olimpico.

Yeah, what the fuck is this guy still doing on the forum? He has a Catania or Bologna image as his avatar on a Lazio forum - I completely share Pia Fedelis's distaste. Secondly, what's with all this prediction bullshit? Why must people absolutely have the need to tell everyone what they think the result will be?

Am I the only one that gives a rats ass about these kind of things? Probably yes.

Nope. I don't like predictions openly displayed, bad luck.

As for the picture, there are loads of images of Mihajlovic in a Lazio strip and I think those are better served here, than one of Catania or Bologna as well.

I think Matu was right, this guy has no clue. I've seen about half a dozen formations all radically different from each other tested in practice. Reintegrate Ledesma (I had to hold my nose when I wrote that) and let's move on. A good showing the rest of the way could still see us move into some form of uhmmm .... respectability  (let's say 10th place - God that sounds horrible!).

Do you honestly see that, a good showing for the rest of the way?

If so, how. There's zero evidence for me. Hitzelsperger is a very fine player but he is no Dunga - and the fact we are still playing Baronio, Firmani and Mauri will instantly neutralise any positives the Hammer brings to our team. And then of course there's slow poke Biava to worry about - who Genoa could not wait to get rid of, hence why they signed Danielli.

Boh?

The Hammer is the type of player we already have plenty of, the only difference he is actually good.  A well rounded central midfielder with good passing skills and can hold the ball as well as play D.  He is not really a playmaker which is what we critically needed.  Its a critical posistion for a team and he can improve a team that already works but not make a big impact byhimself like a playmaker can.

10th would be a dream right now, sad as that sounds, as I wouldnt be having sleepless nights about playing Frosinone in the derby next year instead of Rioma. This season for me just boils down to keeping us in the division and hoping that in the summer A) Ballardini is sacked and B) Quality additions arrive C) Others depart.
