I think that until now, anger and dissappointment have been warranted, but not panic as of yet. If we fail to win against Chievo, espescially if we lose, then panic is the only sane option. Some of you need a heavy dose of nerves - c'mon!

btw, reminds me of a joke....

General heading into battle turns to his Liuetenant and says "bring me my red tunic". "Red Tunic?" asks the lieutenant, "why?". Lieutenant, in the thivk of battle the men musty not see their leader wounded, it would destroy their spirit. The red tunic will hide any wounds."

So the Lieutenant goes off and returns with the red tunic and the general dons it. The battle is fierce and the fighting pitched. As his forces are pushed back and his infantry collapse before him, the general sees an entire enemy cavallry batallion decend over the hill to his right. The general cries out "Lieutenant, my brown pants!"

This disaster was predicted to some degree at the begining of the season after the shit summer mercato with the now aparent repeat this winter, there is more than enough evidence that there is reason to panic with our president at the helm.  If the 13 game winless streak and the fact that Balla will remain a full season isn't enough why is the Chievo game the pinnacle.  Worse than losing 3-0 to atalanta??

Considering we played decent against Fiorentina who were a superior side we now face a Chievo team that is better but more down to our level.  A win a must but like after the 2-0 palermo win followed by the Atalanta 3-0 game there can be no surprise if we draw or lose.

The joke is hilarious (although I knew it already) and very good for the situation now. If we lose or even draw Ball should put on the brown pants. And that merda Lotito! I begin to wonder would we stay in Seria A. With no new signings in the midfield: the battle will be fierce. Every one of our rivals has brought quality signings (what about Atalanta's Chevanton: wow! ).
If someone has told me in the beginning of the season the teams that we will be fighting with will be Catania, Bologna, Atalanta, fuckin livorno, Bari would be way ahead of us, I would have laughed at his face. Not very funny now

The thing about Chevanton as well is that the deal was organized in late November or early December. And Atalanta weren't particularly in danger then of being sucked in to the relegation mire at that time.

When was the last time Lotito made deals that didn't involve last minute bullshit in the windows?

Oh yeah, it would have been Del Zero and Vignaroli

Only when we see new players on the team will i have have a little more faith in this team. If we lose .. expected .. if we win still doesn't say much overall. Winning 4 out of 20 games this year in the league, plus the losses in uefa .. says it all .. this team is incapable of competing the way it is. When they win on a consistent basis and beat some top teams in the process .. then i'll say they found their form .. until then regardless of the result of this game .. PANIC!!!!!!!!!!!

UEFA - Eliminated (by Levski and Salzburg)

Coppa Italia - Eliminated

Serie A  ...

Is there a pattern I wonder?

I can't see us losing this game. But im getting sick and tired of watching the same shit players starting every week. I recently found a soccer italia book in my house from 2005 and we have that same shit players playing. Siviglia, dabo, rocchi, mauri. If any of these players start on our team then we are not good enough. Other these players should be bench warmers at a club like lazio at best.

Everyone can breathe a sigh of relief for tomorrow. The game will be streamed live by bet365.

I said a while ago that if Lazio get reinforcements we should be comfortable avoiding relegation. I assumed Lazio staff would quickly throw the cash around we got from Coppa Italia and SuperCoppa, but it looks like Lotito will use it to pay off personal debts. Right now we have the same squad and i am confident(not certain) we will not get additions in the mercato. That is why I do not post in that thread any longer, I don't check for any more rumors and barely click on that thread anymore. I now fear relegation in all honesty and this is the first time i have said it. I would cherish even a win against a supposed 'minnow' of Chievo Verona. Like football italia says, from winning Coppa Italia and SuperCoppa to 7 points behind Chievo. We are fighting relegation from here on in and we need points against such teams like chievo to survive. At the very least next year if we do drop, we will win the Serie B scudetto.

Probably my most pessimistic post ever.

Apart from when Baronio or Siviglia wear the armband

Probably my most pessimistic post ever.

You ain't a real fan. You are brainwashed by Barca. All you do is criticize the players.

And so on and so forth. Back at ya.

(See how pathetic those accusations are now? Negative posting IMO means none of those things...  maybe you'll change your mind after you've posted as such yourself.)

Please not again Theo. I hope my 'accusations' didn't haunt you. I don't want to revive that feud. The sole difference was you lost faith in Lazio sooner than I did.

How I personally see it is that it doesn't have to be a season long fault on Baronio and Mauri etc etc. This is what the mercato is used for, to strengthen your team where it is necessary. It's not Mauri and Baronio's lack of talent that puts themselves in the lineup, its the shortage of options and quality. Pointing at Mauri and Baronio Firmani dabo for the fault of Lazio's mid should be no more now that the mercato is here. Now the finger should be pointed at the lack of additions in the mercato. Now that I see every strong rumor are completely BS, I now know it is Lotito's fault for not wanting the additions. In fact, the strongest rumor is Kolarov and Ledesma leaving. It's like Lotito is paving the path for Serie B. This cannot be the shit players fault for not having good players. Its not Mauri and Baronio's fault they are on the field. Lotito knows what they can do and he chooses to keep them as part of the core of the team. And now that the mercato is here and nothing will be done, I finally gave up hope of the results that I wanted. that is the reason for my pessimistic post. I should have waited another week really but I am truly sick of the mercato rumors. Fault->Lazio management.

Ok... but I'm sorry, there is no justification to take the blame away from the players completely.
It's Baronio and Mauri's fault they are shit. It is the latter's fault he missed a free shot against Udinese. It's the formers fault that he disappears from games for an entire half or even 80 minutes (being kind)

Likewise Foggia, Matuzalem and Zarate, are supposed more talented players, have not performed to the levels required, which is why we have no choice but to play Lichsteiner out of position, and Mauri over Matuzalem. And we can't rely on Meghni either.

It's infact , IMO, ludicrous to defend the players in anyway shape or form. Balla sucks for his bullshit system, not motivating the players for most of the games all season long and by the looks of it, not improving most of the players abilities since he has took over, infact, a lot of them look worse. Lotito sucks for being alive but for all the obvious reasons. Tare same.
But the players at the end of the day step over that white line and play... and whether they are on that pitch or not is irrelevant.. if they suck, it's because they suck!

Let me make myself clear. Mauri and Roberto'im too good for Serie B' Baronio are completely garbage. They are the reason why our midfield gets outplayed every game. But it is now the managements responsibility to improve the midfield
