ummmmmmmmm.. thought about it. Yes I wouldn't expect a new coach to "clean up the mess" right away. But at least we know next year we don't have the same idiot masterminding this team. I now think this team needs more than a new coach. Clearly our players are not at the level we thought. As much as we need a new coach we need some more talent.

The problem is we don't have a coach lined up as Lotito is sitting around doing fk all.  A new coach i may have a short spell of success before leveling off.  But really how much worse can this be allowed to go, seriously if the next game is a loss or even a tie what then??  At least show that you are trying to improve, make an attempt.  All management has done is sat around and comment on how Lazio will get by this and how we have a solid group of players.  They better start planning for the future since this season looks like a bust and next season will be the same if this ship is not steered in the right direction soon.

We don't know that, and he can't possibly anounce it if he did.

If there is a long term viable replacement for Rossi available now, then yes fire him, but I don't think there is. The person they have in mind, and I guarantee there is one) is obviously currently unavailable. Here's the problem with firing Rossi without a permanent replacement - we pick up an interim coach who will not be back next year and who will certainly be less tactically sound than Rossi (let's not be rediculous, he may have lost the confidence of the team but he's not completely retarded, he knows football). The team will not feel it is necessary to play for this new guy and it may just completely destabilize the team. This may be a lose lose situation but perhaps its just better to leave Rossi for the rest of the year and play ourselves out of this mess.

What i've learned today is that zarate may be an overated player. I think he may develop but he is not doing his job which is scoring goals .. in fact he's done the opposite and ruined perfectly good chances today. I highly doubt bayern or whatever team will maintain that same interest if he's not scoring goals. We can blame our defense for the 1 goal that went in but I thought they held fiorentina back for the most part. I think Zarate is being too selfish with the ball as well. In one situation pandev passed the ball to zarate where he took a shot on net from a hard angle when he simply could have passed it back to pandev who could have slotted it into the net easily. I'll be the first to say this .. but if he continues like this .. he can leave because the team needs to work together.

Usually I don't comment the matches, but I can't do this anymore! We suck! Zarate thinks that he is Maradona, Foggia probably is having a fight with Kolarov, I saw that in the match. 4 times Kolarov had a great position for a cross and Foggia lost the ball and didn't pass to Kolarov. He makes me sick, I was one of his biggest supporters but he let me down.
Maybe for the first time our defenders were great. They failed to stop Mutu and Gilardino only once and they scored. OK, I think that Cribari and Rozehnal are the best defending duo that we have in the moment.
4 losses in a row! even the atmosphere on the forum is different. I'm sick of it all, ever if lotitto sack rossi, he will bring even a bigger looser and then what? we will be eating our nails till we watch our club playing and hopping for more luck in the next match....  It's a shame for the club

I agree. This team simply stinks and bad luck has nothing to do with it. I'm sure you can say reggina has had their share of bad luck too. I think I was also wrong about foggia, now I see why he only comes in the second half when he does play. He messed up some great chances and was invisible in the second half.

Zarate is slowly becoming the new makinwa and should be used as a backup striker or a midfielder. This kid cannot score if his life depended on it and merely fluked his first few goals.

You might be able to say that if this team wins the next 3 in a row we could be in pole position for a uefa spot again. But one thing you CAN'T say is that this team is good and stands out in serie a. This team has joined reputations with teams in relegation and the bottom 6.

The arrival of Carrizo and Zarate looked to be the two factors that would turn this team around and both players turned out to be the biggest flops. If both these players leave I can't see their replacements being any worse. In fact if we got a large sum of money for zarate I would sell him now before he turns into another makinwa investment.

I'm sure the tone of this forum has changed brother, we all just realized the team sucks and can't defend it anymore. Yes we love Lazio ... but the team itself sucks.

Good, cause then we'll sign him and in two years when he is an absolute phenom, we can all laugh at this. I disagree that this team simply sucks, I don't buy it. I see the team for what it is, young and still in need of some adjustments and experience. We binge, like teenagers. Two great games and three bad ones, we have no consistency. To compare him to zarate is, frankly, unfair.

Cribari and Rozenhal were very good yesterday as was our defence generally. I have said that I think this D with Muslera should play out the next few games. To cast Muslera and Carizzo out now would be insane, they need time to develop - the best goalies are older. Frey was playing at Parma for years before anyone though of him as a superstar.
As for the tone of the forum, we're going through a tough time, no one is happy with it, but we can't post only when we're happy, otherwise we're just highschool cheerleaders.
