I think most of us want to forget about the derby .. in fact I think most of us just want survival, and end to this season and try to block out what will most likely be one of the most miserable seasons in Lazio history. This upcoming match against Genoa will be without Ledesma, Stendardo, Kolarov and possibly Radu. Personally I'm not sure there is anything really to celebrate anymore but just hope this season doesn't end in total disaster with us being relegated. I think it's clear Roma have taken the scudetto because I really don't see them losing any of their upcoming matches.

The last time we played Genoa, Kolarov was able to award us one of the few victories we've seen all season. But this time Lazio travel to genoa with a big disadvantage. Genoa will not be any easy task regardless, as they are in good position for making europe, have demonstrated great quality since arriving to serie a, even after giving up both stars thiago motta and millito ..  and handed us floccari who is now our best striker.

Lazio will have to work miracles this weekend. Maybe this will be a chance for hitzperger to get a chance .. and hopefully not god awful baronio to fill in for ledesma.

Hopefully spirits will not be low after the derby because this team needs motivation more than ever as they will be playing against a determined genoa hoping to keep climbing the table.

This season is nothing but survival ..

Udinese
 Siena H - Cagliari A - Bari H - Lazio A

Bologna
 Parma H - Atalanta A - Catania H - Calgiari A

Lazio
 Genoa A - Inter H - Livorno A - Udinese H

Atlanta
 Inter A - Bologna H - Napoli A - Palermo H

Looking at the next games I can say that Atlanta is the main candidate for the 18th spot. Lazio will clearly need to win last two games, especially the one with Udinese. Genoa will  be tough and Inter is impossible. IMO we will survive this adventure but ffs someone needs to take responsibility about this crap. I don't want Peruzzi nor Monaco I want LOTITO OUT!!! VATTENE BESTARDO!!!!

Bologna will take the points they need I think. For me as weel, Atalanta is our real opponent in this race. Napoli is fihgting for Europe and Inter is for championship, no point from both but I guess they can beat bologna and take 1 point from Palermo.

As to us, Genoa found theirshelves with a win against parma and I am hopeful so much for this match, not even mention about Inter match ( if we take any point, I will be upset ). We must beat Udinese, no way. But this fucking livorno may do everything to pull us serie b with them.

I wont forget this fucking season...

Hm, I asked Jofo to start this thread up.

But great to have you back Latius, no-one not nobody does match threads like you! I agree, what's worth celebrating anymore? Owing to Atalanta's difficult fixture list, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lost all 4 games and stayed up on the virtue that Atalanta did the same.

As for this game, I didn't realise we had so many players missing. Ouch. But we are almost guaranteed a goal in this fixture because Genoa do not keep many clean sheets. Livorno and Bologna both travelled to Marassi for this game and got at least a point, or even three, and scored plenty of goals in the process. I remember last year as well when he came here and thought, we were fucked, but Rossi pulled a 1-0 win out the bag, I think it was Zaraflop, scoring when he was a decent player.

As I said to an English comrade, this season is without doubt the worse for me, and all those that have been supporting before 1998 say the same things. A complete overhaul is needed, Lotito needs to vattene (wont), then all the staff around him (perhaps), including Reja. Yes, Reja. He is has done well with what we have got but there is no way he can be the future, I just cannot see it. We seriously need someone to come in who has brand new ideas - preferably a foreign manager who hasen't managed in Serie A before, or fail that, an up and coming manager like Sinisa (unlikely) or Allegri (same).

Genoa are having a final push towards getting a Europa league spot, and have many dangerous players. We won't have a boring game on our hands, that's for sure. Above all else from now to the end of the season I want us to do the fucking impossible that we haven't done all season hardly, if at all.

A good performance in both halves. Forza Lazio.

Sorry .. JoFo do the honors for the next one game. I do like Theo's idea of letting different members get a chance at starting game threads.

I'm optimistic for this game, we can't forget Reja has been getting us good results and getting us points we didn't expect (3 vs Parma, 3 vs Cagliari, 1 vs Milan) and Genoa has been losing points as well (in the last few matches 1-1 vs Livorno and 0-0 vs Siena) so we should aim at getting 3 points. The only worry for us is Atalanta who have a trip to Inter so the way I see it if we win we will be 6 points above them with 3 matches to go, so Serie A survival will be pretty much in the bag.

Genoa are not as compact as they were last season, they absolutely leak goals left right and centre, but they can score as well. We need a response here from the derby defeat, and we have to put three points on the board here.

The possibility of a six point gap at this stage, as you say Laziogimp, should be enough. Atalanta still have to play Napoli and Palermo after that while we should be able to get something from Livorno and Udinese and put this nightmare to bed.

Hope they can get back up from the derby defeat and pretend it never happened, Reja's 5 game undefeated streak ended and derby losses can be significant changes in momentum.

We should get points against udinese, livorno and genoa but I still don't think its a sure thing, we dominated the derby and couldn't get points from that, udinese will fight, genoa will fight as they have something to gain.    Every point helps to ward of relegation but there are always surprises with this team.   Play for 90 Minutes, that would be a sight for sore eyes.  It's already been a shit season, but I won't beleive we are out of the woods until we are mathimatically 100%.
