that was our best performance of the season, yet still lost,we were so unlucky, edy should of started matuz though, hernanes looks tired again, and short of confidence, massive games coming up,wed v milan away, chievo away sunday and next wed v milan at home,3 massive games that could shape our season,if we can take last nights performance into these games we could still finish 3rd.

I want Delio Rossi back. I hope Fiorentina fires him. I'll admit, Reja is somewhat good at putting pressure on Lotito to act in the market but he's a shit coach. Vattene.

Oh no! Please not!!!
Not him again! His tactical decisions where sooo often worse!!!

7, I think you miss the point, and I'm not sure what fault Lotito and co. (for all their faults) have in all this unless your upset that they haven't bought Messi, Iniesta and Marchisio. We played very well yesterday - pretty much everybody is saying so - Laziale or not. Yesterday, Inter played like Lecce on the road and won like Juve at home. i.e.  playing counterattack football the whole game, and then winning on an offside goal and a negated pk. Mah!

Many commentators in Italy - even Caressa the riomanista from Sky TV said that it was a clear pk for Lazio.

Reja's not all bad. He shipped Zarate off who has continued to be a useless tit at Inter, while has given Klose the freedom to revitalise himself in Rome compared to a few stagnant years at Bayern. I don't see how anyone an expect us to fight for the title anyway, it's laughable really. We don't have the budget of pretty much any of the other sides in the top seven, Udinese aside, and we don't have the quality that Inter, Juve or Milan have, like it or not. We can still challenge for a champions league place which given the frugle nature of the powers at be in Lazio is quite remarkable.

^^^ Well basically that's just it. We can be upset when we don't live up to certain standards, but we can't set the standards for ourselves that the big 3 do for themselves.

Aside from everything that went against us.  We still didn't play as good as some have said.  If we did, we would have got the result.  At least a point for that matter.

That's the difference between the two teams (and I’m not talking about the ref, the difference in which team is favoured which is such an old excuse mastered by coaches.)

Inter got two opportunities and they capitalized.  Lazio with all the fire-power up front missed from 12 yards out (Klose) hit a post from a Lucio interception (Rocchi) and a now comical scuff by (Cisse).  There's no excuse...We weren't good enough.

I'm just tired of the excuses by Reja.  They are endless.  He should really answer for himself.  Why Hernanes was subbed at half for "tactical reasons".  I love Matuzalem but he should have came on for Ledesma not Hernanes.  (Esp. After Ledesma took a knock)

I know I will be crucified for my anti-Reja views by the almighty grant and co. But I refuse to use the other team and ref as an excuse for a questionable offside and potential rigore.  To me it doesn't justify that Lazio was "robbed" of points.  We were not up to scratch.  Especially once we went down 2-1 we should have attacked like animals, instead I saw flashes of the Juventus game where we couldn't even penetrate the midfield line and watch as Reja furiously used team manager Manzini as an excuse for making the wrong substitution.  I'm sorry but that is inexcusable.  The wrong sub? How is this possible?  You tell your manager I want Zauri off for Konko.  How does anyone get this wrong? It makes us look like a men’s league team.  Horrible!

On a positive note (because I’m not all negative)

1.   Lazio played another good road match. (I look forward more now to their away games than home matches these days.)
2.   We are recovering some key players for upcoming matches.  We really miss Brocchi and Matuzalem.
3.   Ranieri’s record remains spotless against Reja.
4.  The Inter Club Toronto showed us a lovely time on Sunday and were very hospitable

That's why we need someone more influential than Lotito, preferably with more money. But as things are going, we are becoming stronger with every season passed, our financial depth is decreasing with every passed year, if we compare our performances against the bigger guns from previous seasons, we are becoming better and better. That doesn't mean Lotito is doing an excellent job, actually no, but we are gaining power, slowly but looks like certainly.  Forza.

True, and actually under Delio Rossi against Inter and Milan we would usually get beaten quite easily. I also agree with Baggio, we had some easy chances and fluffed them. Klose and Rocchi knew immediately after there misses that they should have buried their chances. Anyhow, to go to the San Siro and feel like we should have won the match, or at least drawn, is a sign of progress to an extent.

That Matuzalem substitution was terrible.  I thought Hernanes was in good shape in 1st half.

I am convinced Cisse is done.  Rocchi and Klose play team ball and perform so well together.

If not the referee and Zauri, we should have won the game.

Yes, but you cannot choose, who is running the club! So that discussion is irrelevant!
But for the rest youve mentioned exactly my opinion and I hope/believe, this "project" continues every year on to get us back to the glory! Steadily! Not just for one season with big money transfers and depth!
Germany could make Italy learn so much from as an example!
I do not care, how others do or spend...as long as we build up a project and a force to compete for place 3 every season and even higher!

But that takes time and there are many defeats to take with.. So we should not complain, as long as we competed! And yesterday we competed! It was not just shitty Inter that got 3 shots on goal! That was also good play defensely! And we just needed that piece of creative troublemaker behind the strikers hopefully to be found in Honda or Krasic or both!

Matuzalem was a good idea though... didnt function, but that happens... Substitute Ledesma instead would had make our def weaker, so Reja opted that way as Hernanes was not in the match as he should had been.. Rejas idea of bringing fresh wind and creativity was okay and understandably somehow.. He tried and it didnt function, thats how it can go! Live with that!

I think some people just cannot loose and expect every game as a win and every chance as a goal and thats not football! I dont understand Kloses miss either! Shit was that great played and COULD have changed the whole game!!! BURN HIM, if you want any to say he failed! BUT I dont, as thats human! And no other coach out there "available" could make a better job than Reja right now! He didnt get the maximum, yes! But running a team is not milking a cow or feeding a pig or whatever.. So I am with that team and that coach and except every other against Reja, but remember: Who else could run the project? And if I hear Delio Rossi, I say yeah and Zaccheroni with it! And Ballardini! Stupid bastards they where at least either!!! So what you moaning about, you cannot change and theres no need and idea how!
Even if we stay 5th place, it is that, what we would in fact belong to as a normal team! Everything more proves, WE ARE LAZIO! Forza!

Bbbbagio ,When will u get it into your head, we hardly have any money, we have a massive tax bill still to pay, which means we can't afford to spend like juve, Milan etc, we have a small squad with limited quality , we have been
Punching well above our weight the past 2 seasons, and people forget that lotito saved us from going out of business , + all our injury problems, That to me looks like a success story.

This was posted by someone on this board before although I can't remember who it was. In 2009-2010 Lazio had the 7th highest revenue with 82 million. That doesn't sound like a club with hardly any money and Lazio's revenue has most likely increased since then. We spent over 20mil on Zarate and 13 mil on Hernanes. Lazio isn't a poor club or else we wouldn't be linked with players like Honda, Krasic and Podolski so don't give me that.
