My hatred is probably more affected by the Neapolitans inhabiting North America.  The fans of Napoli are similar to those of the Juve's of the world.  Championship Banners, replica Maradonna jerseys from the 1980's in their homes have all been dusted off to support them all over the World like they never stopped being a fan (give me a break) since their return from the perils of God knows where.  (Serie C perhaps or below even)  (See also Juve Serie B year)

Some is definitely a form of jealousy, that a team whose been in Serie A for a total of 4 years is fighting for a top spot while we've humbly trekked along with financial uncertainty and boneheaded administration for the last 8 to 10 years finally finding out feet. (Fingers crossed)

Really its down to their people.  In Italy racism exist everywhere; racist to the Southern States vs The North, racist to the foreign immigration taking jobs away from locals, and downright racist to work. (See garbage strike)  The Neapolitans’ knock of the "arangarsi" phrase i.e. to arrange things in a certain manner sarcasim for: loot, steal, and take for personal gain will always hold true.  I've seen this first hand multiple times and I downright hate their attitude on life.  I guess it’s not fair to judge their team based on the fans (who remember single-handedly tore termini station apart last year) but surely somebody didn't make up the phrase "Ladro Napoletano" out of thin air.

I believe "scum of italy" is the correct phrase you were looking for. The other merda, who happen to sadly wear our colors. I agree, i find napule fans to be as arrogant as juve fans and just a little slower then your average merda.

Our attack has had some pressure for some time to start scoring goals. A big thanks to hernanes for picking up the slack of our strikers. I really hope our team despite being depleted can give us the result, to me this is just another derby and we need to keep our pattern going strong too. No mercy!

All season i've listened to how naples was a scudetto contender which sickens me. We need to step up and show that we deserve a CL spot while crushing their scudetto fantasy in the process.

I love Napoli (the city). Real and true Napoletani are warm and generous and their cuisine is terrific (Seriously - pizza Napoletana, mozzarella di bufala, zuppa di pesce and calamari ai ferri...mamma mia ragazzi!). The city itself has a tragic beauty to it that is haunting. Nevertheless, I hope we smash 'em and send 6ok Napoletni home crying in their zitti!

? Why is it the minute you get into Napoli even the police tell you to hide your jewellery? Warm and generous? Only when they're robbing you in front of your face.  My uncle a Neapolitan himself spoke of having his wallet pick-pocketed just this year while sitting on a park bench.      P.S What the hell is 6ok?  I'm not versed in these matters.

Looking forward for this match and all I hope Zarate plays in his natural position as he did last match, he is a striker and finally Reja admit that put him in the front ask him for goals and than he will be the Zarate we all know, I hope he plays again in that position coz every time he does he makes me really enjoy his talent, we will beat them only if Reja start giving each player his position.

The food in the region of Campania is terrific overall but I do not fancy Napoli myself apart from the cuisine. My views are not based on personal experience with the inhabitants of the city or anything but my prejudiced opinion is that they are bunch of corrupt, lazy, fat fukks. I am not proud of that, mind you. Nonetheless, I cannot bring myself to hate their football team and to be honest I rather Napoli win the Scudetto than either one of the Milano teams.

PS. I was wondering about "6ok" too. After three hours I gave up.

6oK? I'm sure imper means 60,000, i.e. 60,000 Napoli fans in the San Paolo.

Guys, Pizza's were invented in Napoli, for that alone the city will always have a place in my heart.
As to the football, their season has been really consistent and in the past 7 games they have won 5, strong defence and a strong attack. I am however going to have some faith in getting some points since we've already taken points from Milan, Palermo and Fiorentina on their home turf.

^ Yes, 60,000 exactly.

As for crime in Napoli, there's no question there is quite a bit, an I wouldn't want to visit. But it is a fabulous city, and I've been a few times and never had a problem. Perhaps, since I look like a Napoletan' criminal, they left me alone!

Today's preparations suggest likely a 4-2-3-1 with either Garrido or Scaloni to replace Radu, Brocchi with either Mauri or Bresciano and then a ,idfield of Gonzalez-Hernanes-Sculli with Zarate striking. I actually like this idea. First, I'd rather have Hernanes playing as trequartista. Secondly, Zarate as the single point might allow him to run wherever and shag balls.

There is an outside chance for a 3-4-1-2 but I think it's suicidal.

I agree 3 in defense is suicide. I would be more for putting 5 in our back line instead of 3.

I hope bresciano doesn't start.

The napoli lineup is definitely a lot more intimidating then ours. Lavezzi - Hamsik - Cavani > then any of our players we can put up front. I'm hoping Zarate pulls one out of his ass and scores a goal against this gypsy team like he did before.

Napoli =

Defence wins Championships.  No matter how flashy their attack is, I believe in a healthy Dias & Biava...  We need everyone to fight for every ball and Brocchi out of all people will be the difference.  Mark my words.  Why this guy isn't our vice captain, still boggles my mind!

PS did anyone catch a picture somewhere online of the graffiti waiting for Mauri from his return to Formello yesterday?  Something along the lines of "Unworthy" was written outside the formello walls for all to see.  Maybe next time he should just thank Lazio for helping him get onto the NT without taking the opportunity to lambast the fans for their criticisms. Remember this is Rome where any scudetto is worth 10 in other places.
