This weekend Lazio will have a tough away game at the Stadio San Paolo against Napoli who are 7 points below us in the table (potentially 4 depending on their game in hand against Juventus). Napoli are pretty unpredictable but as much as I can't stand the team they are a strong side. Thankfully Cavani has lost his scoring touch this season but despite being marginally below us in the table, statistically both sides are pretty even:

Lazio: GF: 16 - GA: 8
Napoli: GF: 13 - GA: 7

Hopefully Reja will be determined to get the result against his ex-team. Napoli are a team that are difficult to beat when they play at home, but i have faith since Parma managed to do it.

FORZA LAZIO!

This is a BIG match for us. We have a chance to prove what we're made of. Naples soccer is one of the teams we'll have to beat if we have CL aspirations. And you're absolutely right, they are, if nothing else, unpredictable. They've probably been the best team of the season, and the worst depending on the game. However, I will say they've been closer to the later than the first as of late. A win would be an exclamation mark for sure, but I'd take a tie happily.

If we want to put a real sscare into juventus we have to beat Napoli the week before our match at the Olympic.. I can magine it now Lazio-Juve for first place with a packed Curva Nord! that would be incredible but first we have to take care of this Hot and Cold Napoli team and that will not be easy!!

Forza Lazio! I want to see at least 2 goals next game from us (and one from Cisse!!!)!!

When talking to fans from other teams I find people give them a lot more credibility then they give Lazio. I think this mainly because they've made such a huge impact especially last season than we've made in years.

I think Cisse is hungry for goals and will eventually get to his scoring ways again.

This game is almost as big as the derby for myself .. napoli is one of my despised teams next to rubentus for their cocky fans.

^^ That's because the masses are asses and they follow what the heavily biased sports media tells them. The proof is in the points, so how exactly can anyone rate Naples soccer above Lazio. Not saying that we deserve a pedestal, but it's two years in a row now that we flirt with the top 4 spots, and we get, to borrow a phrase, no respect I tell ya'!

I agree ^^

Being a pessimistic fan to say the least i have faith in this team. I don't think anyone expected such a struggle from a team like inter. It's too early to talk about winning the scudetto but realistically I can see us earning a CL spot, it's not a far fetched dream at all and I would love to see us have a capocannoniere for once and Klose is well into that race against DiNatale who has two penalties to boost his tally.

Our defense will still have to be on their toes because Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani is still a dangerous trio for any defense and unfortunately that is probably the weakest part of this team if there was one.

I do agree that we get little or perhaps even no respect from most media outlets, that being said Napoli have made an impressive habit of beating Inter and Juve quite a few times in recent seasons and now this season hammered Milan. I'm not going to begrudge them credit and their performances in the champions league have been excellent.

Still, we have improved as we have now stopped losing to the likes of Inter and Milan in recent seasons with some impressive performances, as opposed to under Delio Rossi when we would usually get spanked against the 'big three'. Reja has done well there, and can do well in this game. Napoli will attack us, concede space and be vulnerable on the counter. We can win this game.

I dont know if there is a lack of respect by the media. may be this is an incorrect indicator but Im from the states, and seeing as I haven't had to watch more that two or three games online, all other games have been prime time or at least televised. I consider that the greatest sign of respect, and since we signed Klose I really have only heard good things from announcers & analysts.

though comparing their run in CL to our EL, I could see a lot of people counting us out.

it should be some battle at both ends, with Sanctis and Marchetti both in great form; Both D's are top of the league. oddly enough our Attack has been in much better form, but they are still a young threatening group.

Age is what worries me as it has from the very start. if Lazio plan on winning this game it will take 90+ min of presser. not necessarily straight ball possession but if at any point we start to sit back its over. I think if Cissi can establish himself for two half's we can win.

lmaoo  Cissi... i like it. Though if there is one game for Cissi to come out big in, it's this away napoli-soccer matchup coming up. Last season it was Zarate giving us the win in the first round and the ref gave it to napoli-soccer in the second round. Hopefully some magic can come out in this away game where Lazio plays their best

I am a little nervous about this encounter. Biava finally returns but now we will have to do without Dias who is injured. Also, Klose is a bit of a question mark at the moment because of contusion to the knee.

Really? Me too! Its the first of two very testings after we've done so well and got so high to date... So try to imagine the pressure on the players is starting to grow.. Only a "result" can get us forward.. even if its a point.. But I dont believe in it..somebiody is gonna win this shit!
But I am also excited.. I am very proud of our guys, man! What they reached so far is good!

C'mon, boys, stay focused and take game by game to destroy our enemies! Like Reja said: If somebody doesnt like, where Lazio stands in the table, they should come and get us down...at least try!

I don't think we should feel pressure, not yet anyway. Pressure was when we were almost relegated a couple of seasons back, or at least look like we might have been at one heavy stage. We're top, not expected to be there and not expected to stay there. That does not mean we can't though. We've won enough games recently to give us some lee-way in the next two 'big' games, and I'd be surprised if we lost both given how well we have played so far. We've done well at San Paolo in recent years, should have won last season so hopefully we take revenge this year.

I hope, they should not feel and they dont feel pressure! But it will be there and it will become bigger, as long as we stay top and the bigguns are hunting US!..
But for me it is so, that I am becoming nervous about imagining, what a win again could bring us against a site like Napoli.. even more, if we finish Juve! Hell, man..imagine, if we are talking 2 weeks later and that was a fact..puh..great feeling!

If we win the next two games ALL of Europe will be talking about us.. We will probably gett offers in January from every big team for half of our players (Hernanes, Mauri, Radu, Diakate if he keeps it up, Marchetti, Lulic)..

I hope Lolito holds stron and enforces us with someone like Diarra which would be amazing in a Lazio Jersay of Podolski but i dnt see that happening...

What an exciting time to be a fan of the first ROman team!!!

AND WHAT A SHIT TIME TO BE A MERDA FAN! HAHAHA
