   VS

These coppa italia games will need to be played as if they are all finals. This is the only redemption we have to get something out of the year since our chances of doing anything in the league itself are pretty much shot unless Lazio started a crazy winning streak but i think this is highly unlikely.

Palermo is no cakewalk team and are pretty unpredictable as well but one thing they've proven this year is that they are in much better form than Lazio having a 10 point lead in the table.

Our defense will have to be on its heels against miccoli and palermo who both are in the top scorers table with 6 goals each so far.

Hopefully we can challenge their defense as well since we seemed to have found a striker who can score and has 7 goals to his name this year (4 with genoa).

Win and nothing but the win!
Palermo are not much of an away team (although they won at San Siro against Milan). Another one from Sergio in this match  and 1:0

Almost rather just focus on the league and hope for this shit season to bring something positive in the summer.    Coppa is a jumble nothings for sure but resting our best players for the weekend is still the preffered option.

Spot on.

I would say this is more like Balla vs. Rossi.

Good observation. Delio was the one who lead us through the coppa italia and to victory which managed to give us something from a dismal season. I hope, but doubt balla will manage to do the same thing with this team.

In the league, Delio's brought success to palermo since he started, including a 5 game unbeaten streak with 1 tie and a big 2-0 win over ac milan.

This will not be an easy match.

Not sure if I care 100% for this game. Atalanta is 99.9% more important.

Coppa Italia is our only chance to qualify for Europe so I do care about this game a lot. It will be a tough one, though, and I really do not have a clue if we can pull it off.

Agreed. I am confident Lazio will remain in Serie A. This is our back door to Europe next season.

09/10 season= Coppa Italia or bust

Agreed. IMO A treq is fine, but not Merdi. Or Matuzalem. Or any of our other midfielders. Guess we'll have to buy one! Or as I've been saying for fucking AGES... why not try Zarate in there? He is not an out and out centre forward IMO.

The reason I don't care much for this game is that I actually don't want Lazio in Europe again. Yes you heard me... at least not until we have a decent manager. Compared to some of the other groups we had one of the easiest and we embarassed ourselves in it. IF we won the Coppa again it'd be the same old story. Well for sure we'd still have Ballardini which means we won't win the Coppa anyway but if we did they'd be fuck all investment ETC ETC repeat ad nauseum.

Having said that, if we somehow get to the Semi's then maybe I'll start to get excited again.

2-1 if we have any players left to field of any quality. Will lose if we field our retirement home squad !
