Probable formation: Lichtsteiner Stendardo Radu Kolarov Brocchi Ledesma Matu Mauri Floccari Zarate(Rocchi) Defense  Mauri?  The lineups are just getting better and better, just get rid of Mauri and put Matu as trequartista and Hitz on Matus place or maybe try with Zarate as trequartista and Rocchi and Floccari on top, then I won't complain about the lineup! At least point I would rather have mauri in then frigen hitzlsperger. He is an absolute disgrace right now. |

Okay Hitzelsperger didn't play that well last match, but it was mainly easy passes that didn't go where he wanted and I think thats just because he hasn't played that much. We just have to let him adjust to serie a, or it will be like for Eliseu, great player but only because he didn't play well the first match he didn't get any playing time. |

I don't get it Alright I'm not going to get into another debate about zarate cause I'm frigen tired of it. But at this point in time hitzlsperger and mauri are equally horrible. Personally I wouldn't start both of them but if it would have to be one I would say mauri right now. I know hes shit and has horrible finishing but he has his moments where has scored and hitzlsperger cannot even complete a pass. |

These two sides were the Coppa Italia Finalists last season, but Lazio find themselves on the edge of the relegation zone while Sampdoria push for Europe.
The Biancocelesti have had a tough time this term and the arrival of new boss Edy Reja hasn't so far made much difference. His debut earned a 2-0 win away to Parma, but that was followed by defeat at Palermo and a draw with Fiorentina after leading for almost the entire match. That game was played to a virtually empty stadium due to fans boycotting the club in protest at President Claudio Lotito's management, so Lazio may well be grateful they're playing away from home this weekend.
Tension is fairly high at Marassi as well following a controversial 1-0 loss at Parma. The referee had at first awarded a penalty, then changed his mind without consulting with his linesman, a decision that infuriated Samp. "Someone doesn't want us near the Champions League places," blasted President Riccardo Garrone. "I am stunned and think everyone is amazed by what has happened. It's not the first time we have been penalised by strange decisions."
Nonetheless, that was their first defeat in six rounds and Gigi Del Neri's side had the chance to defeat Inter at San Siro, but failed to push hard enough against the nine men. Giampaolo Pazzini and Nicola Pozzi picked up bans in that game, but now return to bolster a front line that has been without Antonio Cassano for almost two months. Luca Castellazzi and the suspended Reto Ziegler are unavailable, so Daniele Mannini steps in.
Lazio's injury list remains packed with Ousmane Dabo, Andre Dias, Mourad Meghni, Pasquale Foggia, Tomas Manfredini and Albano Bizzarri. Stefan Radu has recovered and goalkeeper Nando Muslera returns from his one-match ban against Fiorentina.
Reja caused controversy by dropping Mauro Zarate to the bench, but the Argentine was in fine fettle during a midweek friendly test and should start with Sergio Floccari. Stefano Mauri risks giving up his spot in the starting XI after missing some sitters in recent weeks, moving Francelino Matuzalem into the trequartista role.
You might not want to bet on a draw, as this fixture has ended in a stalemate just once since a spectacular 3-3 on April 21 1996. It also finished goalless on only one occasion since 1976.
Keep an eye on: Mauro Zarate (Lazio) – If anyone can get Lazio out of the doldrums and excite the fans again, it's the Argentine hitman. Snubbed by new Coach Reja and publicly criticised for hogging the ball, his skills are needed now even if he isn't the best at tracking back.

At least good news for us that Cassano won't be included into the game as he's still recovering from a hernia and isn't yet included in the formation along with Castelazzi and Ziegler .. so hopefully that can help us out a bit. Interesting stats from the article about how we haven't tied a game with Samp since 1996 but sadly they're favored at home. We need a win and nothing less... so their home streak needs to end NOW. Samp's seen some consistency in the last 5 games with 3 wins .. whereas we've won 3 games all season.
Mauri must be left out .. any retard should be able to figure that out at this point.

Wins are musts but to be realistic we couldn't beat a B team Fiorentina at home let alone a Samp team higher in the standings at home that have been winning without Cassano anyway. A Draw is an Absolute Must and a Realistic Target. Mauri on the field is like playing with 10 shorthanded, Reja must see that by now

Still, I am angry due to Fio game. I could able to watch that fter goal and what I saw was, if we press front and play offensive we always have chance to win. I saw that while we were playing in that way, Fio could do nothing for goal. But we didnt do this whole match. Espacially in the second half, I was sure that we would concead, it was very clear. One goal lead was nothing... If we were better position, I would have said that if you cant win, dont lose. But its out of question for us now. Cassano is good news. We must play in offensive way, of course we should care deffense much at the same time. Pressing front is important. Away or home game means nothing anymore, each of them is must win game. Incredible! Reja is opring for a 4-3-3 with Zarate on Left, Rocchi on Right and Floccari in the middle. Without the ball, we should move into a 4-5-1. As a result, Mauri and Matu will not start. Kolarov and Brocchi will circle Ledesma in the centre of the midfield and in the back Diakitè, Stendardo, Siviglia, Radu. I can't say I don't like it.

Lineups like this either work (offensive shock and awe) or fail miserably, our lack of goals with 3 strikers was present before and I doubt our defence with siviglia and diakite will hold up. I would rather start the game with a stabile formation and then if we need to throw on another striker.
