Great effort today. Diakite is even uglier without the facial hair. I really did not think he could be. Mauri was really convincing and solid on the bench. Had to be put on the pitch anyway. The return of Makinwa, I am speechless, such a lovely swarthy fella he is. I could feel the equalizer slipping from our grasp when he came on.

Why we couldn't play the whole second half with the same spirit as we did down a man is beyond me.

This has been the mystery of the season, we have some absolute shit players and have some decent players but regardless of quality no one seems to care much about the position in the table or whether the curva is full cheering them on or empty.  Even a bad team can be a dangerous threat when they try, we don;t have a squad that works as a whole for 90 minutes or even 45 minutes

Zarate today is proving to be a liability like a cassano even when he is on his game, rocchi is just not the same anymore.  Still Livorno, we should never be fighting for position with such a team EVER!

Bari away is weak, Siena should be a win but like always its what Lazio team shows up and for how long.  Formations are only part of the problem.  Why don't these players care anymore.

I was speaking to a blonde (I'm guessing) comrade last night and yeah, those games should be home bankers. But what the fuck are home bankers these days? We've had a season full of them, and we've hardly won any. I no longer expect anything from this team anymore. All the games we have left are cup finals and should be treated as such.
Yes there are a truck load of players in our roster that don't really care, but you mention the formations and that's my biggest bone of contention. Rocchi said after the game that it's difficult to perform well with so many changes. So, I'm pleading with Reja to choose a formation, and fucking stick to it. It won't be 4-4-2 which is what I want, but to be honest, I don't care whether I get what I want. I want Edy to choose the best possible formation that he can think, I want him to use it in the training pitch all week, and then I want him to stick to it for the remainder of the season. If it ends up being a bad choice, then we can blame the manager, but he is not helping the players with all this evolution. Every. pissing. week. Nobody has changed formations more then SSL this season - we must have gone through about 6 or 7 different ones, and we still can't win consistently.

Then there's the players argument... but I'm a little tired of that. But, unlike what Imper says, doesn't mean that people shouldn't moan about players if they want. Fuck that diktat.

Whole team play shit. Maybe the worse performance this season. I wonder, I really do if players take this situation seriously.

Now the battle is not only with Udinese and Catania but Livorno, Atalanta and even Siena are pretty close. Next 3-4 games are more ''easy" for us and we must take that advantage. Every point counts twice from today on.

I'm gonna say this wasn't our best game but it wasn't our worst either.  Last week was much worse.  Theres no way we will score many goals with this midfield.  The only way is if zarate or floccari bring the ball up themselves.  I am pissed about zarates red but I don't blame him or Reja for losing their cool.  I was about to smash my tv screen cause this fucking ref would call every touch foul on us but when we got tackled he let us play on.  Typical home team ref faggot.  I hope he dies. I am now honestly convinced that floccari is one of the best italian strikers out there.  He finishes every chance he gets and he is strong fast and can get up in the air. He size seperates him from the likes of di natale, rossi, quagiarella, etc.  Floccari and pazzini are my favourites.  Anyways, brutle defence again.  Guberti left wide the fuck open on a free kick and he is even able to dribble up a bit before he can take the shot.  Simply embarrasing.  Pazzini does not miss a chance.  I have no idea what happened on that goal cause fucking rai cuts to every other goal in the league as soon as it happens. We just gotta hope in the summer we can offload half our team and bring in 5-6 solid defenders and midfielders.... realistic? With lotito, probably not.

As a result of this match, we will be without Zarate and Reja and probably Rocchi (for, I'm not kidding, blaspheming). They are using the video to decide if he did or did not. In his defence, Rocchi claims his habit is to take  it out on his uncle, not God, but it sounds the same (i.e. zio instead of Dio - I don't make this up!)

If some of you guys ran this team, we'd have 94 players and 8 coaches this year.

That sounds like 7 coaches more than the way lotito is running the club. Let me unlock the mystery for you why this team is performing like this ... they suck.

The team is mediocre .. END OF STORY. If you're still surprised after we lose at this point and still try and defend the fact that we should be winning you really need to wake up. Clearly we don't have the resources some might think, and if they aren't consistent in performances .. then they aren't great players as much as you'd like them to be.

The fact that we've won about about 17% of games in the last season and a half .. hmmmmm .. somethings not right...  and 1 or 2 wins at this point means absolutely nothing

Rossi went over to palermo and made europe a reality but i also believe palermo like fiorentina are teams that we should've been par with in terms of quality but they are run by people who have interest in running succesful clubs and not some other agenda like the romanista running lazio. Palermo's problem was clearly a coach issue before everything turned around for them .... ours is a perfect storm of mediocre players with a possible mediocre coach and a horrible president who doesn't give a shit about the club.

A stable formation definitley would help make the weaknesses of this squad less exploitive.  The biggeset problem as I see when looking at the competetion which are also weak teams is when I look at games yesterday such as Bologna can beat Napoli and Catania can compete for 90 minutes with Cagliari for a draw, they can get unexpected points vs us barley able to get expected points.  Del Neri is hardly a world class coach and has done well with Samp the same Rossi is doing with Palermo so whatever the balance of quality/mentality we need to clean house in the summer because even a coach is not solving anything and we are not getting a world class coach to perform miracles.  Its the same Rossi at Palermo so the conclusion can only be the players.  They really look like they don't want to be here anymore, can't blame some of them either.  Problem is we won't get much for most players that leave and Lotito will need to spend out of his own pocket come summertime.

Next game no zarate or rocchi, BRING ON BARRETTO

Agreed. This is just one of the problems. We have no time to try which tactic gives the best performance for team. Reja should choose the best he thinks it is and try it.

The other problem is, why we start totally defending after we scored??? I mean, it is certain as it is seen that we dont have solid D line and it is obvious that we concead almost every match. At the begining of the matches ( for fio and sampdoria) I was really pleased the way we played. We were doing everything to play attack and find goal but then! the nightmare is starting for us. Something is happening and we forget what attack is.

Reja, firstly, shouldnt afraid of anything and push team to forward. In my opinion, this is our only chance to fight to be here again next year. Coz we dont know defending, but we get what we want when we attack well. Luckly, Livorno loses point also but till where? Siena also seems eager to be in this war. We have long way.

We need the 4-4-2 to just balance the team, with a balanced midfield it will help stop attacks from opposition as with Samp they had all the time in the world to plot down an attack, use their speed and vision.  Also will help us build an attack.  You are absolutlye right though 1-0 means nothing for us this year we need that second goal before we can even consider to try and defend a lead.  I don't know why you would even attempt a defensive holdup with 3 strikers on anyway.

Ah lads, don't blame Reja just yet, 3 difficult away games and a home game vs Fiorentina and we got four points (Palermo, Sampa, Fiore all capable of finishing 4th).
Next 3 games
Bari (H)
Cagliari (A)
Siena (H)

6 or 7 points for sure.
