VS This Sunday Lazio square off with Udinese. Both teams have as much to fight for since the last 4 weeks have seen both teams drop significantly in the table. Udinese has being doing worse of the two considering they haven't won a game in 6 matches in regular season despite both teams both having a victory last week (Lazio in Coppa, Udinese in uefa). Both teams will be hungry for much needed points to gain back credibility from both being top of the table at one point. Goran Pandev is rumoured to be out for an entire month is a major blowas he will be missing the next match and most likely against palermo as well. It almost seems Lazio's luck as Matuzalem is back from injury in hopes of changing our rather weak midfield, we lose Pandev up front. Last year we were cursed with injuries and this year old trends seem to be haunting us. Fabio Firmani is also back this weekend but has never been a crucial part of the team. Hopefully the team can show they are still strong without key players missing and get the team back on course to qualifying for UEFA. AVANTI LAZIO! 00

Another difficult match and four league matches without winning. I can't estimate what will happen anymore. Both Udinese and Lazio started season well, but then both lost their performance and bad term began for us and them. We and Udinese want to win and to win we have to be more motivated and eagerly. I cant stand losing anymore. THE ONLY WAY IS WINNING.
Forza Lazio

If there was ever a road game to win to save the season this is it! If we don't win this or at least pick up a point the media will def. slap the "crisis" label on us and I couldn't see myself not demanding the axe on Rossi. Udinese have a very similar track record to ours this year so it's in our best intrest to put up a real fight against a team that is our direct competitor for UEFA spots next year.
ROSSI COME UP WITH SOMETHING INVENTIVE PLEASE!

I wouldn't include Mauri at all ESPECIALLY in centre mid .. he can be the water boy at most.

At least our palermo encounter is looking better:
Fabrizio Miccoli has been handed a two-match ban, while Nicola Legrottaglie is suspended for Juventus-Milan.
The Disciplinary Commission ruled on the two-game ban, so he will miss the home tie with Siena and Week 17’s trip to Lazio.
Let's see how they do without their top scorer!

Nice line up, but we have no one to cover the back four. I think u should have known that with delio rossi, mauri and ledesma will always play. I am beginning to see that delio rossi is our problem and not lolitto. The coach has nothing left to offer and if this match does not go well, i think he should humbly resign.

10/12/2008 02:15 Lazio's Pandev In Doubt For Udinese Match Lazio striker Goran Pandev is in doubt for the match against Udinese after the injury sustained against Inter, Meanwhile, Stephan Lichtsteiner could also miss out... Lazio's Goran Pandev is considered one of the best strikers in Serie A. The Macedonian international recently scored the winning goal against AC Milan to knock the Rossoneri out of the Coppa Italia.
However, Pandev's latest outing against Inter was not as successful, as the player had to be substituted because of injury during the 3-0 loss to the Serie A leaders.
The Biancocelesti forward has an inflamed muscle in his leg, and if the inflammation does not subside he will not be able to take part against struggling Udinese on the weekend. During the next 48 hours, Pandev will undergo specific physical therapy in an effort to get him ready in time for the weekend.
Meanwhile, coach Delio Rossi could also still be missing Swiss international defender Stephan Lichtsteiner. The 24-year-old still is suffereing from an injury to his right ankle and will be evaluated on Thursday.
Lazio may have to travel to the Stadio Fruili in Udine without these two players, who have put in some good performances this season.

/12/2008 11:14 Rocchi Has Lazio Recipe For Success The captain is confident that the Aquile will soon turn the tide, if they stick together and keep working hard. Lazio have collected a single point out of their last four Serie A games, a home draw with Genoa, and suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat at the hands of Inter last weekend.
“I think that if we don’t play like a team, we are never going to get positive results,” Tommaso Rocchi told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
“We need to rediscover our grit and determination, we must be 100 per cent focused on the pitch and give our all to return to winning ways.
“Everyone has to give their contribution on the pitch and help out their teammates. Then again, we could also do with a little bit of luck…”
The Italian international had a public spat with Delio Rossi last month, after the coach left him on the bench for the match with Genoa, but he is adamant that he can still be a reference point in the side.
“Do we need a leader? I am a leader and I always try to convey positive ideas so that we can take to the pitch in the right frame of mind,” he concluded.

This line up may be our best. ( when Rocchi changed with Pandev )But, you are right rossi always put Ledesma and Mauri in eleven, which is annoying. Foggia and Zarate are our hope for this match and I heard that their scorers are banned and this is a big chance for us.. We should use this oportunity well and WINNNNNNNNNN, because we have finished our credit. Forza Lazio

This is more of an attacking lineup but realistically DeSilvestri and Kolarov are both defenders who can act as wingers so they will probably defend better than attack. I didn't include a "stopper" in front of the back four but if we score I would say throw in ledesma behind Matu and lose one of the strikers. We need to score first and build some confidence! Whenever a team scores on us first we either lose or tie.

I've been the biggest Anti-Lotito the last two years, ESPECIALLY last year when he did nothing in mercato right before we threw ourselves into the CL with nothing to really ride home about then a 2-2 tie to madrid. I thought is THIS all we're worth ? But I think he's redeemed himself and showing that he is truely building this team with signgings like zarate and lichsteiner. I was pro-Rossi for a long time because I thought this guy really can't do much with lack of resources. He was the "miracle man" who brought a poor quality team to CL (of course many factores that season helped get there). But now that he has the resources it's unacceptable. I see better lineups on this forum than I see him come up with. He keeps overlooking Foggia, DeSilvestri and Diakite for players like Mauri, Ledesma and Siviglia. I think he's on a thin string now and two more losses should really be the proof need to start looking at a new coach. I know some of you suggested Simeone. I think just because he was a Lazio legend doesn't necessarily mean he'll be a good coach. Maradona was an argentinian legend but will be a good coach ?
