Looks like it will be 4-3-1-2

The team prcticed with Cavanda on the left and Radu on the right, but Lichsteiner will almost certainlystart in place of the youngster. Biava and Radu will play in the centre. Frankly, I prefer Stendardo to Biava.

In the middle, Bresciano and Garrido will be out, so the line will most likely be Brocchi , Ledesma and then one of Matu or Mauri. Up top, Reja looks likely to put Hernanes behind Rocchi and Zarate as Floccari is out.

I think we all do, but Biava didn't do anything to lose the position last match. Im a little confused with what you said about the R+L backs. If Radu is playing center, Like he should. than Lich isn't stating over anyone, and Cavanda can play left. Cavanda-Radu-Biava-Lichsteiner and that would be just fine

So basically reja is returning back to the ol' Delio Rossi formation.  Lichsteiner - Radu - Stendardo - Cavanda .. that should be it, depending on how successful and consistent Cavanda becomes. Dias and Biava should be no more than subs.

Hopefully we can see Garrido and Bresciano soon OR some different additions other than the pathetic team we saw last year PLUS the addition of Hernanes.

Mauri can do what he does best which is sit on the bench or be an 87th minute sub.

Floccari being out is going to show us if our other strikers are still if at all still valuable. I doubt Rocchi will play the full match so I think we may see Kozak or Foggia come in. I agree, Zarate score a fucking goal or fuck off!

A home game against Bologna MUST be a victory or it will be chaos at the Olimpico.

^^ Looked more like Cavanda-Biava-Dias-Radu, but when Lichsteiner gets back from International duty he'll likely take Cavanda's place.

That's a sad lineup in the back. I hope ledesma primary focus is helping out the defense or we will have a big weakness. Biava is absolute garbage and its an insult he's even part of this team .. i don't give a shit what one off performance he might be convincing .. he needs to sit his ass on the bench. Dias is OK .. he's had some decent performances.

Hopefully we can see some magic this weekend from the Prophet.

LLSN says;

"Turn tactical advantages but also many painful sacrifices: Matuzalem and Foggia do not smile ..."

It's not painful for me it all. It's fucking wonderful

Btw, it seems Mauri is ahead of Matu, that's fine with me, Matuzalem is even more useless then Mauri.

Yeah. Radu should be placed at CB, since he has been very decent there. Cavanda seems versatile enough, perhaps he will be switched to lb when Lichsteiner returns as he played down the left against Sampdoria and Biava can play right back, as in right back to the subs bench.

With that 4-3-1-2 formation i would choose this:

                       Muslera

Lichtsteiner-Stendardo-Radu(Dias)-Cavanda

      Brocchi(Gonzalez)-Ledesma-Mauri

                        Hernanes

              Capitano          Zarate

Floccari is injured so I want to Zarete this time.

Viviano was fantastic against Inter in the opening game..hopefully Zarate can have a good start off the blocks this season, send a screamer past Viviano's posts.

saying that also, i see this game ending up as a draw (1-1)..both clubs will be looking to avoid a loss ofcourse but will they both have enough guts or nerves to go for the win..i dont think so, a draw for both looks more like the favourable to me.

Forza Lazio!!!

We must continue from where we left off at Marassi, half-time obviously, and start finishing the chances we create with deadly accuracy. Zarate should look into opening his goal account, yes. 5-0 should be a satisfactory result. Bologna must become one of those teams that we just roll over at will. If we cannot pull out a convincing victory I will jump on the wagon with Latius and ride towards the sunset of all hope.

Ηello to all after a longgggg timeeee....My work did not alllow me to enter the web so many days
Anyway...
Its good to see Lazio's formation turning to 4-4-2  or 4-3-1-2 as we say..Because the two backs (right and left) will not run all the sides, the two defensing halves will clear everything and then...Hernanes passes and attackers score goals...
Interesting one!!

*facepalm*

Anyway, yes, nothing but a convincing win will do. Perhaps 4 or 5 is unrealistic but I'd be delighted with a 2 or 3-0, on the basis that we dominate them for 90 minutes. It can happen, it is possible, it used to happen several times with Rossi. I want to see us dominate teams again (particularly at home.) The attendance is going to be around the 20,000 mark which is crap but better then it could have been.

You would have thought I'd give Zarate a break owing to his nationality. It doesn't work like that for me. I haven't got the patience anymore with him. If he isn't going to score against Bologna with probable help from Hernanes then when the fuck else will he. Likewise, there can not be any more excuses for Reja. It's up to him who he plays, it's up to him how well we perform as a team, and he hasen't got the excuse of us hating him with 3 at the back this time. I have never regarded him as anything other then a 'stop-gap' manager and certainly not one to take us to the 'next level.' And winning games like Bologna at home will probably not change the season radically, but basically there is not a single excuse out there why we should not win.

I have two requirements for tomorrow that must be fulfilled.

1, A goal scored in open play.
2, A clean sheet.

And those two combined and we have three points. Without Curva Nord, all games at Olimpico will be like on neutral pitch, so we have no major home advantage in terms of a 12th player. Me hopes Curva Nord's boycott is for one year only, it'd be tragic if our stadia looked like Delle Alpi in February...

I think 1-0, Floccari the goalscorer. We can't afford dropping points at this stage of the season at home, we just can't. Bologna also have skilled players like Viviani, Pérez and Di Vaio, with Ekdal and Giménez also creative. Our defence will have their work cut out, and organisation is going to be key, as will neutralising Di Vaio from the get-go!
