I said during the mercato that I was skeptical about Konko and Marchetti and they've done little to dispell that. But, hang on a second. All of a sudden people are crying for Lichsteiner and Muslera when last season both these players were criticised, Lichsteiner for his woeful crosses and Muslera for some dreadful goalkeeping errors at times, far worse than what we've seen from Marchetti so far.

The problem going forward is with the 3-1 up top, Klose is isolated and Cisse is wasted on the wing. If I see 4-3-1-2 against Cesena then at least I'll know we have learned from our errors somewhat. The problem with the defense is that they are all seemingly useless this season. Not sure that can be fixed.

Again what a spectacular game Lazio was having in the first half. Besides some mis-hits on clearances , Lazio were pretty solid in that first half and tactically neutralized any threat.

I first want to talk about Lulic was showing to be a valuable asset on that right wing and also made a spectacular clearance from almost getting caught by Carraciolo. Lulic was full of confidence and was running box to box making me second guess myself about him being replaced by Radu. That is until he lost all momentum and was not willing to have a defensive mindset in the second half. He was involved in both goals and its so hard to forgive them. The first goal he kept Palacio onside, albeit Lulic was in line with Dias until Dias pushed forward to try to stop Jorquera of Genoa who had a great game. The second goal Dias and Lulic had their two guys who they should have dealt with and got burnt with Diakite trying to cover both their asses on that play which didnt happen. A shame about these goals and Lulic does really need to focus when defending though he had an awesome game being a Constant threat on his wing.

The next thing I was pissed off about was Cisse.    MAH!!! the reason why some of us were a bit relieved Lichsteiner was sold for 10 million was because all he did was wip in stupid aimless crosses. Now not only does Cisse replace that bullshit, but then he mouth's off to everybody else. I can see Klose snapping on him if he keeps this up, and that would be interesting. Then Matuzalem passed off a sitter for Hernanes and then Cisse ran over to where Hernanes was going to connect with the shot, stole the shot off him and missed by a foot on top of the box. And theres no way Cisse didnt see Hernanes  stepping up for that shot, he was running towards Hernanes path straight on.

And Reja, what the fuck !!! Hernanes out 60th minute. ?   When Diakite was our biggest threat to Genoa in the second half, thats how you know your tactics to go for the win or increase your lead was not in Reja's aim.



Very aggrevating result at the olimpico , especially since I do not regard Genoa a good team, especially with Bovo, Mesto and Constant missing for the majority of the game. This game did not sit well with me and felt terrible that whole Sunday. Hopefully we rebound right away.

I can agree, that lichsteiners crosses were dreadful. But he could DEFEND. If he was so bad he wouldn't have been picked up by a Juventus and he's already made a name after 1 game.

Granted muslera made some errors, but he was also rated the 2nd best keeper in serie a. He' was still young and probably could've evolved into one of the greatest keepers.

I've been more impressed with Bizzari against AC Milan. So far and from the friendlies, europe and last week marchetti looks mediocre at best. That second goal genoa scored is proof enough.

But even hernanes and dias who were our elite last year played like garbage.

This team needs to get serious. I really don't think we can challenge for a CL spot but we can definitely make EL again.
